    HobbyKing 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm PLA 1KG Spool (Aqua)

    HobbyKing have come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

    The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

    PLA:

    PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when subjected to flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project need to be evaluated.

    PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead, and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.

    I used a lot of this filament when I first started 3d printing, it was my go to PLA.
    Printing at 205-210 produces great results with both heated and non-heated print beds. The colour of the final print is exactly the same colour as that on the reel, this is not always the case with some PLA filaments.
    I was disappointed when the item became vailable, exclusively from Hobbykings global warehouse because the weight excludes it from free shipping. I did contact Hobbyking and hey presto! Hobbyking put some in the EU warehouse; which was great news for me, I purchased four reels to make sure that I had plenty of stock.
    It would be great if Hobbyking would do the same with some of the other standard Hobbyking filament, metallic gold for example.

    What a striking color!

    A unique color - the photo doesn't do it justice. well suited for many projects.
    Filament quality is as good as any I've tried at well over twice the price. Prints great.
    On a CR-10S, my temp settings are 205/65.
    This is one that has a permanent place in my filament collection.

    Ignore the bad reviews, they most likely have bad print settings or inaccurate printers, this aqua filament has a very nice colour, and prints great @115C with the bed @60C. Much better than other filaments I've tried from amazon and ebay, the colour texture is more consistent, and it can bend more without developing stress marks or delaminating between layers. I'm impressed.
