Hi. Which spare props can i use? Which size? Hi. Welche ersatzpropeller kann man nehmen? Welche grö*sse? Thx
 Andreas 28 points
Which prop draws less amps? 7x5 or 8x6 Thx
 msteklacs 245 points
7x5 or 8x6 both worked for me
 cyclon38 2 points
Wir fliegen mit 7x6 an 3s lipo
 Wilhelm 255 points
7x5 draws less, but 8x6 will be faster and the climb rate will be better if the motor won't burn. Don't know that motor.
Andreas  28 points - 3/24/2012

Which Motor is installier? How Many kV? Thx

Hi. Where is the center of mass of this plane? Thx
 msteklacs 245 points
I used the 1/3 rule, set the CG 58mm from the leading edge, and it worked, the plane flies great.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Ollymann 7 points
Please verify this! According to the manual it should be between 21-22cm from the tip of the spinner! This is way more in front of the suggested 58mm mentioned above!
 msteklacs 245 points
I can verify, CG at 5,5 - 5,8 mm from the leading edge (measured at the wing root) is working perfectly for me.
 Ollymann 7 points
There is a big difference between 5,5 - 5,8 and 58! *-)
 msteklacs 245 points
Sorry, i meant 5,5-5,8cm (55-58mm).
Andreas  28 points - 3/21/2012

Hi. How many kV is the motor? How to change the prop? Is the red Spinner just plugged or is it glued?
 bennibear 37 points
Hy, the spinner is only plugged. There is a 3mm shaft on the motor. The original prop is fixed with 3mm nuts. I cut the motor shaft a little bit and built a aluminium spinner with a 7x5" Prop on it.

Hi does anyone know how to programa the esc?
Andreas  28 points - 3/18/2012

Hi, is there a manual available? Thx
 msteklacs 245 points
I haven't seen any but it's not necessary because it's very simple to put together. Just fix the wing with the two plastic screw and put the rx in. CG is on 1/3.
Andreas  28 points - 3/18/2012

Hi. Kann man das Seitenruder nachrü*sten? Is there a way to update to rudder? Thx
 bennibear 37 points

Can anyone recommend a landing gear for this plane? thx
 bennibear 37 points
You don't need a landing gear... The Mustang is landing very good on grass...

Hi, where can I get spare propellers? Or even better, what do I need to upgrade to "standard propellers"? Thx
 msteklacs 245 points
The plane originally comes with 7x5 props. You find this size props at many places. On HK, PRODUCT ID: OR001-00307B. I tried the 8x6 props too and worked well.
Andreas  28 points - 3/15/2012

Hi I am farly new to this hobby, only tried a couple of cheap planes. Now it is time for a more proffesionel version. problem 1 find plane: x (this one) problem 2 find the rest.....??? Can anyone help me to find what i need to get this bird in the air....i start from scratch so i figure some battery, control, charger ect. but whitch ones??? help will be appreciated
 temudshin 149 points
hmmm, I would not recomend this bird for a beginner. It needs a bit of skill to fly. My recomendation would be something bigger and made from EPO. THis P51 is made from PS and not too crash resistant... lol ... If you want to start with a warbird I clearly recomend PKZs Trojan. then once you are more skilled go for this little bird ... If you buy from EU warehouse, the Turnigy 9CH Radio would be a deal but more than you need for this p51. I fly mine with a 2s 800mAh pack.

What kind of connector is at the esc. What connector will be needed at the Lipo ??. Thanks in advance
 bennibear 37 points
Hy, in the model is a standart bec connector. The correct plug is on the Turnigy 1000mAh 25C Lipo Pack ( T1000.3S.25 )... Hope I can help you...

Hi Folks! I have a really big problem launching my mini mustang. When I throw it the plane immediately rolls to the left and crashes into the ground. Several experienced pilots tried to handle this plane, but no luck. Only one time it didn't crash after a really quick manoeuvre. Once it is in the air the plane is really awesome to fly but after 20 throws it happend only one time. Has anybody a clue what went wrong? The cg is 8 1/2 inch from the spinner and the elevator and rudders are correctly trimmed. I use a 1000maH 3S Wellpower Lipo. Is this a constructional problem and should I contact hobbyking?
 Jens 1 points
Had the same trouble with this Mustang, then I saw a quick tip on flitetest . com - installed a gyro on the aileron servo and the problem is solved. Best thing if you are alone on the field. Cheers
 HollowVoice 1 points
Assuming plane is trimmed right, rolling left on low speed is caused by engine torque. propeller turns one way so plane will roll the other way. throw with less engine speed or throw harder :-)
 Jens 1 points
Well, this worked pretty good, half throttle, full throw and it did not roll into the ground :o)

Hi. I need a new suitable propeller for this model. Can anyone help my? I need one in DE Warehouse. Thanks for help David
 bennibear 37 points
Hy, I change to a 7 x 5" Prop with Aluminium spinner on the Mustang... But i can´*t find some Prop in DE-warehouse... Sorry
 noel 6 points
Hi
I had 2 flights and 2 broken props
so I have the same question
are there any replacement props for this perticular plane?
if you use a 7x5 now how do you adapt to the bigger hole in normal props and to fix a normal spinner?
 Andreas 28 points
Can anyone reply please?

Hello guys, once assembled, ho can I put this plane apart for transportation? Is the wing one part? How to disassemble the tail, the elevator? Is it fixed or can I easily take it apart? Thanks
 Supersepp 56 points
Hy! The Wing Is One Part, but the Transport Is verry easy because the Wing Is Not fixed!
 Henrik 6 points
The wing is assembled to fuselage with 2 flathead screws. Very easy to assemble and dissasemble for transport if needed.

The tail cannot be disassembled. But since the plane is so small, I have no problems with this.

Hy folks, is there anyone who knows where I can buy spare parts for this wonderful plane?? I need the prop and also the styrofoam spinner. Thanks
 CrashinDutchman 281 points
In addtion to my first message: Hobbyking has 8043 size gws propellers that you can use, I think... they are in stock also.

 HellyFlyer 1249 points
There you go brother, I have translated it in English for you

Hi Have the model and NEN 1000 mah 3S Lipo. The focus should be at 5.5 mm. Even without the battery, the bird is already nose-heavy. Is there still lead in the nose? Can it be that the battery is right there to lie where is the seat now? 've read that others have the battery well increase its size. I bruchte at all. Who can translate into English?

Now to Answer - Just find the CG of the plane and move and give some up Elevator i

Deswegen wohl eher Kopflastig...

Hallo
Aus welcher Art Schaum besteht das Modell?
What kind of foam is the model moulded from?

can you put a rudder/servo in this?
 temudshin 149 points
The ruder has a undercut from one side that can be used as a cutting line. It also allows the then cut ruder to move free. I use a bit of clear tape and a 5g HXT Servo. fidelling the pushrod through was the hardest part *)

What prop is on this plane? Im looking for a spare one, but cannot find anything on 8407...

Any suggestions?

Hi All, I'm have a little Futaba PCM1024 dual conversion R149DP (72MHZ) RX and Turnigy 1000Mha (or 800Mha) Lipo. Can't figure how and where put them inside the plane, because when you insert the wing, the ailron servo don't let any room to put them there. The Lipo AND RX must go on the cockpit? They look really ugly there. Any advice will be welcome! Thank's Marcelo
 Henrik 6 points
I have seen no other solution than removing the chair in the cockpit. There is room for the LIPO under the dashboard. TX, is placed where the chair was. Its not the most beatifull solution, but the only I have been able to come up with.

This looks like the right wingspan for what i am looking for. Does anyone know if this plane can also be flown slower? (I am no longer a real beginner, but would certainly not call myself experienced....)
 Andreas 18 points
Hi,
the mini mustang like to fly fast. I think it's not the right choice for Beginner with some experience.
 temudshin 149 points
I fly with a 2S 800 mAh pack that has a little lower weight than the recomended. I find that the bird can come in relatively slow, but be aware it will still fall out of the sky if you come in too slow *) Mine tips over the right wing...
 Henrik 6 points
I fly it as a beginner with some experience. It is my first low wing plane.
I have broken 1 propeller due to not turning off the engine when landing.. So remember to do that.

The plane is relatively stable, considering the small wingspan, and belly landing is in my oppinion quite easy.

But it cannot fly slow like a high-wing trainer.

1 thumbs up!
Hi,

Trotzdem 5 Sterne. Fast mein Lieblingsflieger...
