Highly scaled, large size aerobatic fighter jet with a big 70mm EDF system.
The Alpha EDF jet comes 97% pre-built and includes a powerful 55A brushless 70mm EDF system and steerable nose wheel. This well detailed and strikingly painted jet uses a 70mm ducted fan unit to provide fast throttle response and a high top speed. Scale decals and the addition of two pilots adds to the realism of this model. Battery canopy has more than enough room for a variety of batteries. Small bead-sized EPO foam means more detail and a stronger, stiffer construction. 5 servos control tail, ailerons and nose gear.
This is a very attractive model that draws attention both in the sky and on the ground!
Why is the Parcel Post rate so high for this item? I ran the oversized package in Parcel Post to 94563 and came up with $16 less than the listed HK rate. UPS came out about the same as the HK listed rate. $33.37..... Washington to California........ must be a mistake.

Has anyone upgraded to an EDF BL motor found here in HK using the stock 5 blade fan and housing? Having no runway so the model needs more "power" to help in hand launching which can be tricky when it's windy since the "fat" fuse is hard to hold properly.
Check out N*t*oplanes but they are out of stock. Have you tried "blue core" foam using a heat gun to "curve" it to the proper shape where needed? Paint it to match the original color. May not look pretty up close but in the air, no one would be the wiser.
this one here is not retract ready but i suppose you can install them if you know what your doing , i dont think they would be hard to do i would use electric.
Just hog out some foam where the stock gear is mounted and epoxy in some plywood mounts and your good to go. Make sure you get servoless retracts, much easier to work with.
I priced it out thru checkout and the one from the states is $126 with the fastest shipping (1-3 days) and from HK it's $143. Obviously you're not reading the checkout price accurately. Quit crying about prices, try it from Nitro or Banana.
It is a interface design problem - you cannot see the cheaper shipping costs until you go several more steps into the process. I found shipping to be $12 to $15 for this item.
This is different from when you order from the overseas warehouse, where the shipping cost is very clear and upfront at the cart level. What is confusing is that for US cart you see the same shipping costs - so I thought they were accurate (and very high).
1 cent shipping from the usa warehouse 5-6 day expect around 10-11 business days

first flight was great added 15 grams to tail will adjust with alarger battery which is on order flew without gear everbody was impressed !

Planes flies well and is very stable, I'm flying on 4S 2000mah 30c batts and I did the wing incedance mod, I sandwiched a 4mm strip of balsa between the front of the wing mounting point and the fuselage so it doesn't feel nose heavy. Had to balance the fan using eddiegigawatts method from wattflyer. I did not have to add an weight to adjust the cg with this mod and battery and it flies level with the elevator at the neutral position. I changed the control horns due to excess play and added glue to the hinges for reinforcement. Still a great deal for only $109. Will add retracts soon.

Assembly: Easy Durability: TERRIBLE. EPO foam, but nose coffeecup-thin, and SNAPPED IN HALF EACH OF 1st 4 LANDINGS. I injected the nose solid with polyurethane foam to fix, which is extreme! Rest of plane pretty sturdy, so HUH?
Quality: In addition to above, the gear mounts aren't glued worth a darn and ALL fell off. Re-epoxy ALL of them before first flight!
Power: about 1/2 of other 70mm EDF. Backpressure from splitting thrust?

Durability of nose is real bad as Gyro Gearloose said. Mine now looks ugly do to snapping off too many times in bits, a bad problem!!! Take the time to to reinforce the hole front end before you fly it. I used thick strips of epo foam & epoxied it, but your idea is great too. Does it add much weight to it using the spay foam? The EDF is underpowered for this size bird. Great plane even with all the headaches and I will buy again and fix all

Part 2. I will buy again and fix all the probs first as Gyro Gearloose has listed. Then upgrade EDF power system, install rudder & flaps, ad some retracts, & FFA lights. Has great potential at this price!!!!
