Want to zoom through the air with jet like performance as well as landings as slow as a trainer? The Sniper EP Pushy is a great introduction to speedy pusher prop models, with its predictable slow speed landings and responsive control the Sniper will have you confidently flying this fast aileron ship in next to no time. Model comes 95% complete, you only need around 3hrs to assemble this kit.
I'm thinking hard about buying this. I have a Turnigy 2936 2350kv motor and either a Turnigy 60A or 45A ESC to run with. Will that motor/ESC setup work well on this plane?
I would like to suggest that Hobby King provide more info on what parts they recommend to complete a kit. Instead of just saying... brushless out runner give suggested or recommended parts for all components out of the HK catalog. That would help tremendously.
Nmt prop drive 28-36 3000kv motor 755 watts
4 cell 2200mah nanotech 40c lipo
Turnigy plush 60 amp esc
Two 12 gram high torque metal gear servos
On my 60" wing, this setup was good for 130 mph! If that ain't fast enough.... Buy a turbine! Lol! Good luck and have fun dude! :-)
j miguel, you will need at least a 4 channel radio system, Motor (like the D2826-6 2200kv turnigy from USA warehouse), 6x4 or 7x6 apc style prop, 45amp esc, 3 pair of 3.5mm bullit connectors (to connect motor to esc), 1500 3s battery minimum, a good ammount of pilot skill and a large field, this is a small very fast plane. Take your eyes off of it for a moment and you will wonder where it is gone. No disrespect but I think you should start with the Tuff Trainer
The NP Falcon 25 -is- cheaper, but also significantly heavier & higher wing loading. The Sniper specs are identical to the Hobby Lobby V-Diamond from a few years ago, probably the same Asian source. The Diamond was a great flying plane. Have a Sniper on order, will post a debrief when it arrives.
I am pretty sure it comes with gear because on one of the reviews it mentioned needing to beef up the landing gear mounts. I wouldn't expect the supplied gear to hold up to grass but concrete would be fine.
Look close at the picture of the manual, looks like trike gear on it there. That might be wheels in the plastic bag too, just a guess though, can't really tell!
Just unboxed mine and yes, it does have landing gear. It also has hardware to make the node wheel steerable. I notice the aileron control is not the same on both sides in my model. It's a steel pivot which is going to require some serious bending to straighten up. The canopy needs to be trimmed to perfectly fit your model. I'm a little disappointed that the elevator servo is just attached to the bottom of the horizontal stab. Overall it looks like an interesting plane, but will require quite a bit of modification to be in top form.
Well, you still can. Though I don't know why you would want to put the servo in one of the wings. Then you'd have to disconnect the clevis to the servo every time you removed the wings.
finished my 70mm edf version on 4s getting about 135mph I would say yes you can make it as fast. it flys very well and easy to land. was a fun project I will buy another in a few weeks.
Excellent I have a "nue" motor 2200kv good for 130 amps I might try this with a 6s set up It would be a lead brick but with that power likely a rocket also
I am flying this model on a 70mm ducted fan motor 28-46 3000kv. im flying a 7x6 prop on a 2s 4000 mah pack. I know its not radical as a set up but this plane weighs in at 2.1 lbs and is 110mph and slows down very well.if you know ********** aircraft then the motor is from a 70mm meteor edf. this is a wonderful flying aircraft but you will need to set up some down elevator mix with increased throttle.
