what is the connector of this battery? I need a dean connector battery.
 France 26 points
the connector for this battery is xt60, but you can always replace them with what you want.
Knud  1 points - 4/24/2013

Would you accept this from Amazon, or Flowers****. So why should we accept it from this group?
Knud  1 points - 4/24/2013

Is it only me, but I am getting fed up with the virtual empty shelf situation. Every time I come on here to buy anything I find it is always out of stock, and the only way of getting it is to purchase it from Hong Kong. Which leads tot he question - why does HobbyKing "pretend" to have a warehouse in the US, when it appears to be mostly for show. Also. when one does manage to get something shipped - if it is faulty, then heaven help you if you want to get a return or even worse a refund - then the fun really starts. Has "anyone" actually had satisfaction and/or customer support from this company?
 France 26 points
I'm sure some of the problem is when things do go in stock. people buy them on bulk and reselling them. if you don't believe me check out ebay and usually double the price. I've had some good and bad experiences with the products I got from hk. But I think for the price you pay for them comes the risk. if money is not an issue then probably should not be shopping here.
 Knud 1 points
There is simply "NO" excuse for lack of customer service. Even the best product have faults and if there is proper customer service they get sorted amicably and reasonably. As an example my JR transmitter failed - I have had it 5 years - I sent it to Horizon and expected a bill for about $100. They sent it back - no charge! Now "that's" customer service - guess where I'm buying my next radio from!!!! Hobby King needs to realize, that it takes little effort to provide support, and the return is tremendous - however treat people like **** and they will actively start boycotting the site and do everything int heir power to take others with them....
 France 26 points
I agree with you on customer service. I was merely saying that if you want to buy something that such a low cost then it comes with risks and unfortunately customer service and qa is one of them. But I support hobbyking because they have made it affordable for the casual and learning to fly heli pilot like me. Thats all I'm getting at and Hk is great for that. That's why I take the risk.
 Knud 1 points
Thanks France. and I do agree with you - however I don't think the two things should be mutually exclusive. Obviously if one purchases from the lower end price range there is some inherent risk, however price and customer service are not mutually exclusive, and I passionately believe that the two can go hand-in-hand, particularly when purchasing from the Far East or South America. I am seriously debating setting something up like this myself, but also providing sensible customer support.

Hello, what do you guys think about this combination? This battery with this motor NTM prop drive 28-36 2200kv / 696w and the HobbyKing 30A BlueSeries Brushless Speed Controller, All this for a bixler 2. thaks for the help.

LOVE THESE! I've had 3 of these for a year now - well over 300 flights on them. I balance them every 3 flights and have had zero puffing, but I don't abuse them. Bought 4 more a month ago. I really believe Turnigy has it together in how they produce these.
DaddyPhatSaks  1 points - 3/19/2013

They are a tad big in the Blade 450 3D, had to drill new holes in canopy to fit correctly without risking the battery rubbing on the motor. All batteries came balanced great, and fly great.
DaddyPhatSaks  1 points - 3/9/2013

Finally in stock!! Got some on the way for the 450

does this work with the A-1 sky raider?

How do these batteries compare to Sky Lipos?
 ZODI_RC 29 points
I have had these batteries for quiet sometime now, They are very long lasting and for the price you pay. I think its the cheapest and the best so why bother with Sky lipos ? I even had my foam plane which nose slammed against a wall and the battery pretty much busted open because of the impact and still works PERFECT. I would go with Turnigy any given time. Turnigy is cheap and works great. Sky is a little expensive and works almost the same. I.M.H.O

i had one sky lipo and will never buy again, it did last long at all and it blew up like a balloon. stay away from skylipo
Antonios  8 points - 12/26/2012

Anyone had MANY flights with these batteries? Can you post how they perform after, say 100 flights? I just ordered one to test it out .. may by more if this one works well!
 Benjamin 28 points
Hey Antonios, I can vouch for these lipos as a great buy. I stick with these, nano techs, and sky from another vender. I prefer these by far. I am on my second season with 12 of these and different mAh and C rating of the same. They balance very well with a proper charger, have great flight times. If this helps I run two in series 6s in my $1200.00 J-10b EDF. don't think twice.

I had a cell go bad in ONE out of about 15 I purchased. It might of been due to a crash.....

I ordered 8 of these batteries in January of 2011 and they have been bcakordered since then and never restocked. They are still on backorder and I'm still waiting for my batteries to ship. 4-month wait.... So when will my batteries show up?
 larry 14 points
i ordered 2 today and it says there in stock i hope they ship also
 Rick 3 points
I ordered these last week and they came in Monday. Honestly, I was surprised at how fast they came.
 Francisco 6 points

__edd!  226 points - 5/14/2011

Does anyone know since when these are on backorder? Or an ETA on re-stocking?
 amreet 5 points
I know that I've been waiting 36 days now.. and obviously they are most definitely not restocked within 30 days. Same with another set of batts also waiting for USA warehouse to restock :( Summer's here.. where are the batts?
 larry 14 points
not sure but about to look and see if mine shipped
Mark  5 points - 12/20/2010

Does anyone know the actual weight of these batteries?
 Rick 3 points
I just dropped one on a digital scale.

203g or 7.2oz

That's the battery with all connectors. They do come in a small box with bubble wrap that increases the shipping weight.
 Damroadhog 13 points
200g with deans connector

Got them "to my door" 3 days from the time ordering. That's really cool. I like the USA Store for things you need fast. Awesome batteries as always. I only use Turnigy or Thunder Power. I prefer the Turnigy's over all other HK LiPo's (Zippy, Rhino, etc.). They last forever, none of mine have ever puffed, cells stay balanced, they're reasonably light & a great price.
 scarletboa 349 points
i ordered 2 of these when there were only a dozen left and if these hold the same track record as my other turnigys, i will be very pleased with them. it's nice to see cheap, quality batteries in the US finally.
 michael 1 points

Great battery with a great discharge pull. The said "C" rating is pretty close if not spot on. I prefer the Turnigy LiPo's over all the other brands from HobbyKing. I have 10 of the Turnigy's now, all cells balanced and no puffy packs.

I ordered 4 batteries last week and a airplane and received it today. Very happy with service. Both came USPS priority and was delivered to my door. Tested one of these batteries and it worked great in the sky fun that came in with them.

i bought 2 of these and they have exceeded my expectations. these batteries don't even get the least bit warm in my t-28d and i charge them at 10a. i have put about 25 cycles on each battery and even after a complete full throttle static load test down to 3.7v/cell, the battery was 80F when the ambient temp was 68F. there wasn't the least bit of puffiness or sponginess. the packs are both completely solid even after hard flights. i will be buying 4-6 more of these.

Suburb battery. Used in an Align 450 Sport. Zero puffing and very cool on a hard flight. Maintains a great head speed. Quick shipping from hobbyking usa.
