On the 7th September 1953, legendary WW2 Fighter ace, Neville Duke flew a specially prepared bright red Hawker Hunter to a new world air speed record of 727.63mph, Duke was awarded the OBE for his work as Hawkers chief test pilot and for his contribution to the development of supersonic flight, a very risky business back in the 1950's! The bright red Hunter became a favourite at UK air shows where Duke would fly the Hunter to supersonic speed, thrilling crowds with sonic booms before such things were deemed a nuisance and were resigned to a by-gone era!
This superb Hunter features a nice quality fiberglass fuselage and sheeted wings/horizontal stabilizers, ideal for strength and high speed, both are superbly finished in a deep gloss red. The Hunter is 5 channel, featuring a rudder and split flaps, it is also supplied with fixed landing gear, but could be converted to retracts without too much work. The removable fan cover is secured with magnets and an efflux tube is included as well as a comprehensive hardware kit. The included high power 90mm EDF unit will require a 6s capable motor at least to get the best from this stunning looking 1950's cold war warrior.
The Hunter features a generous size wing and tail which combined with it's slippery shape give you a nicely balanced, very capable jet with an impressive flight envelope. With the right set up, this superb jet will be capable of blisteringly high speed yet the flaps keep landing speeds sensible. For that final touch, we have a full scale cockpit and pilot available (not included: See related items below) which will really finish off this unique, superb flying and very attractive model of one of the pioneers of the "jet age".
Requires: Your Own 6 Channel TX/RX 8 x MG High Torque Mini Servo 35mm Inrunner/outunner motor with 5mm shaft for 6s (Min) UBEC 5000mAh 6s Lipoly Battery (Min) 80A~100A ESC OPTO
Depends on how good of a builder you art ,have you had any scratch building experience? I have so I would say its easy for me I have done things like that befor ,but you learn as you build ,maybe easy for you maybe not so easy , but for the most part you would have to frame in mounts for the retracts if there are no mounting plates.
You can find the Manual under the purple "FILES" tab. It should be at 125mm from the wing/intake joining point. Google translation to Italian:È* possibile trovare il manuale sotto la porpora scheda "FILES". Dovrebbe essere a 125 millimetri da ala / aspirazione punto di unione. //Magnus
Today was maiden flight. The CG on 125 mm is perfect.
I use 6 S 5000 Polyquest 25/45 C and Midifan whis Tenschock 2070 KV. About 93 Amp.and Power more than 1/1. Fantastic Jet -but i gave him more color like aire show design.
best regards from Germany
How could you change the colour from bright red? Neville Duke will be turning in his grave!! This is a replica of the Hawker Hunter that Neville Duke flew as Test Pilot for Hawkers. It's iconic.
I'd look at how the plane is built before we start counting past 6s (split intakes usually allow for lots of space in between) I'm curious about the wing is supported and how they join to the intakes. the vampire has a similar intake setup, but the jet arrows vamp has a very strong, fully molded wing - where the main wing support and central fuse former are all one continuous part. but red here is about 1/5 of the cost, so buy buy buy...
this is made from to halves left and right and everything is molded befor they are joined (intake) and yes more room,im sure there i plenty of room for a 6S pack or 2-3S for 22.2v on the sides. it lookks to be thought out well ,plus the airplane is 90mm (larg) so you dont have to go crazy trying to fit stuff. U can also go a bit smaller on the lipo 4,500. Ithats what im useing on my F4 5 mims flyingwith power left over(i have the same fan with a 1,800kv warhead. i like this jet very nice.
IM guessing you can fit the 8S looks like there is a lote of room ,but now your talking more wieght also dont forget ,5,000 8S is very heavy cut down to 4,000 or 4,500 good luck
one more thing came to mind also if your going to use 8S lipo im not sure if that fan is the one you would want to use . i have it and it needed to be balanced i f i were you i would get one of them aluminum fans they are dynamicly balanced i had severl of them and very nice and sound like turbine ish.
The fan in the model us nylon reinforced with fibre. Is good for up to 45,000 rpm and does need a little balancing. You can balance it like you would a normal prop. Sounds awesome.
Cufflink has one! He's even going to replace the magnetic hatch with magnets! . ... Yes you read right

ARF kit came very well packed. No shipping damage whatsoever. This is the Pro-Design Hawker Hunter. Finish is excellent. Very nice looking.
Been taking my time building it. Will fly it with a 7 or 8S setup with a 12 blade fan.
