unfortunately the motor doesnt fit as shown in the picture.the motor needs at least another 55mm clearance from the fire wall for the motor shaft to exit the cowl enough to attach the prop. thanks anyway

Wayne check these motor mounts from HK 201000004, they are 60mm long. Or something like this HXT-C50-65. Cheers

Hi, hab das Teil auch, ich habe vom Erstflug letztes Jahr sogar ein Video hier bei HK im Ordner Video abgelegt. Der FLieger ist klasse, ich hab da einen 26er Benzinmotor reingeschustert, viel zu groß*, mitlerweile ist er gegen einen 20er gewechselt worden. Reicht vö*llig. Um Deine Frage zu beantworten: Ja, der Firewall hat eine Markierung (Kreuz) und wie du schon sagtest, das ist die Mitter Motorwelle, da der Firewall leicht wegen Zug und Sturz schrä*g verklebt ist. Apropos verklebt, ich habe den Firewall von innen unter der Haube verstrebt zusä*tzlich, also stabiler gemacht, denn das ist eine echte Schwachstelle des Modells. Auch wenn ein E-ANtrieb nicht so hohe Krä*fte (weil leichter) an der Frontwand ausü*bt, so ist das ganze nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend. Ausserdem hab ich auf die recht dü*nne Firewall von aussen eine weitere 5mm Sperrholzplatte verleimt. Nun bewegt sich da nichts mehr. Gleicht auch wunderbar das GEwicht des dritten Servos im Heck aus, da definitiv beide Teile des Hö*henruders angesteuert werden sollten. Laut Anleitung sind beide Ruder mit einem Stü*ck Stahldraht zu verbinden, aber ich kann aus Erfahrung sagen, das labbert nur rum und verdreht den Vogel um die Lä*ngsachse. Also zweit Servos hinten fü*r Hö*he und eins fü*r Seitenruder eingebaut. Der Vogel fliegt sehr gemü*tlich, aber kann auch bei entsprechenden Ruderwegen sehr agil geflogen werden. Die Steckung der Tragflä*chen ist fü*r Transport abnehmbar. Das Rö*hrchen aus Alu ist relativ dü*nn, die Tragflä*chen groß*.. ich hab mich nicht getraut zuviel Belastung auf die DInger zu geben. *) Aber es ist eine Piper, bekannt fü*r langsamen stabilen Flug, nicht fü*r 3D-Manoever. Ü*brigens kann man in die AUssparung an der Tragflä*che bestimmt eine Key-Cam anbringen, hab ich aber nicht gemacht. Landelichter einbauen mit weissen LEDs ginge sicher auch.. Viel Spaß* mit dem Dingen, auch wenn die bloeden Fahrwerksdreicecke nicht passen (bei mir auch nicht).. einfach Balsaholz passend zuschneiden und mit weisser Folie bespannen.. Fertig .. Gruss, Fred

Hy. Bei meinem Hö*henruder ist ein Stahldraht dazwischen und der ist doch recht massiv und sieht eigentlich ganz gut aus. Werds wohl erstmal so versuchen. Ein dritter Servo ist ja dann gleich eingebaut. Das mit dem Motorspant muss ich mir mal nochmal genau anschaun. Ist das das YouTubevideo auf der Straß*e in ner hü*geligen Gegend mit Kumpels? Im Einsatz noch nicht, aber ich bin grad am montieren. Setup soll werden: Motor G60 400kv, 60A oder 80A ESC, LIPO 6S 4000mah, 4x Standart Servo und $pektrum-Steuerung mit Telemetrie (Flugakku, ESC-Temp und Motordrehzahl). Prop ist 14x8 geplant, aber erst nach Fertigstellung und Messung kann ich sagen was ich wirklich nehme.

that's why I asked if he has one.. oh well. By the way this is probably manufactured by the same people that make the new Decathlon, and also this Decatlhone has windows in the box and covered fuselage... hey do you have the link of that thread please ? Thanks

To bad this Super cub does not have flaps..this realy is a "must have" for this type of plane ! I just bought mine at another German store at the same price. If I did'nt I would have bought this one. She realy looks verry verry nice. If you buy one, dont forget to put a tow-coupling in it, so you can tow larger gliders..It realy is so mutch fun. I'll give it 4 stars for the missing flaps.

it has windows, they are included in the box. You need to remove the cover, cut the windows from the lexan sheet and glue them in place. She flies great, nice and slow but can manage basic acrobatics too. I love it. There's all the hardware needed for the glow version (tank, motor mount), but nothing for the electric one. I've already posted my detailed setup in the discussions on the "china warehouse" page of this plane.

The battery compartment is VERY accessible : the canopy goes as far as the firewall and is held in place by magnets, so it can be easily removed. I use 2x 3s 3000mah that fit with no problem. It's my first "big" electric, and I really love it.
