USA warehouse now open. Our USA warehouse is now open! Low cost shipping and an ever growing variety make ordering from the US warehouse even better value!
This ARF includes a motor, and prop w/ prop saver. Just include your own receiver, servos, ESC and battery to be flight ready in next to no time! There has never been a better way to practice low 3D flight than with HobbyKings new range of EPP planes.
Great little plane, use hot glue to build (takes 12 seconds to dry so quick build time)used 10 g servo all round with a 20amp red brick esc (able to handle 25amp burst). flies great easy 3d, great for learning 3d but not a beginner plane or build. at the end of the build do your self a favor & cut the landing gear off, useless unless landing on hard surfaces, belly or harrier landing is fine. used 950 2s lipo's & motor with supplied prop pulls 16amp wot. all up the plane came in around 220 g with battery & std receiver on it(suggested weight & i thought i had built heavy) & will hover around 1/4 - 1/2 throttle. BUILD TRUE & FLY HARD...
I am seriously disappointed in the motor supplied with the Piaget. The 9x5 GWS prop supplied with it runs at 19A on 2S and makes the motor overheat within 10 or 15 seconds. I've bench tested the motor with a 30A hobbywing ESC and 8x4.5 SF prop, using a servo tester and wattmeter to regulate the input to various power levels. I found that even running at only 10A on a 2S lipo (which was only about half throttle) the motor STILL gets too hot to hold your finger on after 60 seconds of static operation.
Is my motor a dud or are they all like this?
what motor is it? a c-10 or c-20?? to replace with a lower kv that bolts straight on what could i use.. Anyone know how to rid the aileron flutter - hinge tape??? I find the stock 8x4DD and motor setup with a 4500Mha 2s Lipo Hard to hover is this theowners same with other owners, i use top airbrakes only, flies nicely, but cent give it full stick or she gets the flutters... Great plane..
Can fly it outdoors in any wind up to 20Knots, it just hovers dead into the wind - like a kite
Got the last 1 in Au ware house .. And Glad i getting some prior training ,,in door or out door .. its Great for what we all need ,, Great to practice with ,,prior to the Next Level as we know ,Will damage easy ,,not this Little Piglet ,,Always wanted 1 ,, Now i can thank the supply ..,And I do Like the price ,,Yes ,, Gees we Lucky ,, Hay Fellas ,, Check it out ,,good plane ,, strong as-well as advanced learning ,next step ,,don't miss out ,,
At First Glace ,,I failed to see ,the Missing Link ,,This Is it , No Our way through Learning Process ,we come across this ,,THE PIGLET ,,well Developed ,Not to be mistaken for a toy or Child's toy , Little is the power needed to Be Acrobatic ,Or be Learning it .. When Weight Is little and Plane is small ,, But Yet big Enough to Hold good Power pack ,We End up with this ,Power to weight Barron of the Air ,acrobatic piglet , i Can Guarantee to get what i want for such A little expense and little boxed size shipment ,, 4 stars ,at least ..

If you are building this aircraft I just found there are plenty of reviews on the same aircraft at international warehouse. Mine went together great and is almost ready to fly. However there are a couple of things to watch out for. All the airframe is EPP except the little drag units on the wings. Make sure you use foam safe on them or a little 5min Epoxy. I found out the hard way and melted a corner off mine. I noted the instructions call for a 10A ESC and I ordered a 12A Hobbyking ESC. I now see the web site says 18A which may be better. In any case the 9 x 5 propeller supplied seems far to big for the little motor and pulled over 20A on the first run.
I have switched to an 8 x 3.8 which pulls 14A on the first burst with my newly charged 800 MAh 2 Cell and the current settles down a little as the battery drops voltage drops off. This is just within the burst rate capacity of the little 12A ESC so I will give it a go. Nice little ESC for about $7 and it took the 20A burst without a problem too. Fitted the little D65 digital 5g servos they are Not Expensive, nice and quiet, quick and smooth only time will tell now. Will let you know how it flys!!!

have just upgraded the power plant to a Turnigy 2209 1030kv outrunner. Prop is a 10x3.8SF. 1000mah 3s battery. Systems pulls approx 8 amps at flying speed ie 1/2 throttle. The flying characteristics have been greatly improve. Hovering is even easier than before.

I have had 2 Piagets and I love flying them. It certainly takes plenty of hits and if necessary damage is easily repaired with normal super glue. Be careful as super glue tends to make it brittle around the repairs. My Piaget has been pounded into the floor, ground, chairs, etc. dozens of times, glue up and still flies great and at $40 who cares! This is FUN!! I did find the Piaget to be a little ‘soggy’ especially with the ailerons twisting so by stripping a piece of carbon and gluing it to the back edge and side edge (near control horn) helps to prevent the aileron twisting. I also glued CF strips along the fuselage as I found it can break where the wing joins the fuselage at the back edge of the wing. I found to get the most out of the Piaget you need to max out the rates and travel length as the thrust from the prop tends to ‘flatten’ the control surfaces. So what looks like plenty of movement on the ground decreases when in flight. I have done a whole lot of modifications, motors, batteries and more throws on the control surfaces etc. My advice: leave it all standard just max out the control moment and add the CF. I use a 2 cell 800 battery for 5 minutes of flight.

I bought this plane on a Thursday, it arrived the next Tuesday. I opened the two boxes and everything was well packed, no bent foam. I would not recommend this for a beginner but i found that it is not that difficult to build. Everything is strong after you installed all the carbon fiber. It came with a colored instruction manual but the English was not very clear. The plane took me over a day to complete.
My first flight was not very sucessfull, it fell from 15 meters. evrythin was fine and i could fly it again. Second flight was very good. very easy to do a prop hang.
thank you hobbyking
