One of HobbyKings all time best selling models, the 182, is now availble in an ARF version allowing you to install your own selection of motor, ESC and servos.
The 182 is made from dense and extremely smooth foam. Unlike typical GWS type foamies, this kits foam is smooth enough to appear gloss-like.
With the addition of working flaps (Deluxe Version) the 182 makes a perfect introductory model to training on the extra control surface. The rudder is also linked to the steerable nose wheel, making taxing fun!

I would highly recommend a HobbyKing Bixler ARF: search for 'PRODUCT ID: HK-SS-ARF' This is the plane that I started with and it is FANTASTIC! Here's my setup video... Hi Michael! Yes the Bixler is a 4ch aircraft. It is the most gentle/docile plane for beginners that you can also have fun with as you progress into intermediate and advanced flying :D
hey i have this plane an i leaned with it, i wouldnt reccommend it, as it was surprisingly fast,, an its not very resillient, its very easy to put together though :)
welche servos inkl. flaps mü*ssen wie angeschlossen werden? Ich bin Anfä*nger und komme mit den flaperons nicht klar??? Muss ich sie parralel mit dem Hö*henruder hinten verbinden? Geht das Hö*henruder bei diesem Flugzeug nur nach unten baubedingt? Nach oben kann es nicht ausschlagen, da liegt das Hö*henruder fest in der fü*hrung????
Dauert bei euch der Versand auch so lange? Die verschicken das Teil einfach nicht! Liegt jetzt schon ueber 1 Woche da rum und der support sagt die kö*nnen nichts machen und wissen nicht warum ich soll mich, wie immer,gedulden. Da bestellt man schonmal in DE und dann dauert es trotzdem so lange.
J'ai ce kit Cessna et je peux dire que c'est une tres bonne replique du modè*le grandeur , avec un moteur belltype 1600KV et une helice 8*6 c'est une petite bombe , toutes les figures de voltige de base passent aisé*ment...A dé*conseiller comme 1er avion : trop rapide et trop lourd en cas de crash...

Das Flugzeug kam sehr gut verpackt und geschützt bei mir an. Man braucht also keine Angst haben, dass es während dem Transport kaputt geht.
Ein erster Eindruck lässt darauf schließen, dass der Flügel zwar sehr stabil ist, die Servokabelanschlüsse aufgrund der Klick-Verbindungen jedoch etwas zu viel Spiel haben. Insgesamt ist das Flugzeug aber gut aufgebaut. Eine 3S 2200mah passt nicht in den Akku Schacht. Alles kleiner als 2200mah 3S sollte aber problemlos passen.
Der Propeller ist natürlich nicht balanciert. Aber wer hat das schon erwartet.
Allumfassend: Für den Preis wirklich super. Große Tragkapazitäten sollte man je nach Motor und aufgrund der Größe des Batteriefachs jedoch nicht erwarten.

Got this plane couple of months ago (Int. HK Warehouse), flies excellent, but be sure to use flaps on landings, it can be surprising FAST. Talking about landings, gears could be reinforced/replaced with stronger ones, they bend quickly on hard landings. Not for grass or ANY wind, u'll loose control quickly.
Any surfaces are easy and quickly repaired with EPOXY glue.
Thanks HK for stocking the replacement parts kit here in DE, will order soon, since this plane was my 1st Learning-RC plane,and it seen it's share of ground kissing =)

I am really impressed with this kit. I am a relative 'newbie' to planes, although I've built and flown an HK 450 V2 and an HK 450 Pro TT (helis), and 2 foam 'wings'. The Cessna arrived quickly (from Euro warehouse) and it was very well packaged. The only criticism would be the instructions, or rather, the lack of them. The kit is branded Skyartech on the underside of the main wing section, so a quick look on Google took me to a downloadable pdf which helped a lot, but isn't completely correct for the HK version, as the pdf shows 2 servos being fitted for the ailerons (one each side) whereas the HK model uses a single servo fitted centrally, and two rods move the individual ailerons. The 'flaps' are also pre-connected and require on servo to move a single lever (which I haven't quite worked out yet). I've been advised to change the wheels for large foam donuts as I will be using a grass field for take-off and landings. Being Skyartech, parts for the Cessna are available online in the UK, if HK doesn't have any. Having said that, HK prices are so good that it's usually worth waiting for things, if you can. There are several videos of the Skyartech Cessna 182 on Youtube, so have a look. I'm sure that someone at HK could 'rework' that pdf manual to make their customers lives a little easier?

So eine schlechte Verarbeitung hab ich noch nie gesehen. Die Ruder sind komplett daneben angeklebt und auch noch schief ausgeschnitten. Das Teil sollte man nicht kaufen, ich wollte es schon in die Tonne werfen, da hab ich schon Besseres aus HK erhalten.

Lite pill med att få ihop modellen, inga instruktioner.
Flög och låg väldigt bra i luften, kanon.
Klara dock inga kraftiga manövrar, vingarna MÅSTE förstärkas med kolfiberstavar (eller liknande).
Annars ett bra nybörjarplan.
