At over 2 metres, this is a good size glider and for flying off any surface, the ASK21Mi has no less than 5 wheels, including a sprung, steerable nosewheel and wingtip wheels! It also has in inbuilt tow hook for use as an unpowered glider but what really makes this model exciting is the servo powered motor pod that folds neatly behind doors and into the fuselage, making for a streamlined and scale looking glider once you have powered up to altitude. ich habe mir eine ASK21 Mini gekauft und dazu benö*tige ich eine RC-Steuerung und einen Accu fü*r den Antrieb.
Meine Frage: welche RC-Steuerung ist fü*r das Modell geeignet und kann man diese RC-Steuerung auch in Deutschland einsetzen? Welchen Accu kann ich einbauen?
Es wä*re sehr nett, wenn mich ein Modellbau Fan beraten kann!

How is it done, that the prop stops in line with the motor pod opening that it could be retracted and closed? What happens when the prop stops at 90°* angle to the motor pod opening?
Probably you have to wait for a few second after cutting-off motor and before closing the pod. There are some rubber o-rings tha are due to do let the prop in right position. In my ASK21 the big problem is the sometimes the prop remains outside because the 2 "doors" get close too early!
Some one know if exist a mix for shutdown the motor when pod is close? if activate motor when pod is closed the motor and esc burn. I have a Eclipse7 radio some one have try use a free mix for shutdwon motor and pod servo? thanks.
if you can program avr microcontrollers: get the turnigy gear delay unit. that one is reprogrammable with a normal ISP programmer and an improvised cable. You can make it to first open the hatch fully and only then pass on the throttle signal to the ESC, and close the hatch again when you kill the throttle. It will free up one channel on your receiver too.

2) do you know how could I inhibit the motor through esc, using a simple microswitch ore reed relè* until motor arm has achieved full extension?

Your answer to the question 'if you can program avr microcontrollers' should be 'no'? In that case you cannot use my advise as it is all magic/nonsense to you I'm afraid. A micro-switch in the signal line of your ESC would work too, but more error prone as it uses more mechanical parts. If that is what you can do, but not the programming option, then it is obvious what to do. (learn to program :)

also die kleine brauch einige modifikationen...ganz wichtig ist den Holm zu ersetzen damit man Spaß hat.
Zudem muss das Höhenruder gestänge ersetzt werden (0,8Stahl auf 0,5) damit das Höhenruder sauber läuft.
Alle modifikationen sind hier zu finden im RC-Network (.de) Forum : (suche nach)

ich hab im forum geschaut... wie meinst du das mit dem glasstab rausbekommen. in der fläche sind 3 einzelne stäbe und du hast alle rausbekommen?
anschneiden und aufbiegen raff ich nicht ganz. hast du evtl. ein foto davon?
Lasst den Vogel wie er is, der fliegt auch so, aber das Scgwerpunktproblem ist wirklich misst

It's a nice motor glider for a good price. In 1,5 our flight ready. The plane looks good, pretty scale.

Now is the big question how to connect all servo's and motor?!?
Only there is à very little germany manaul....
If there is somebody how can tell me hoe to setup the glider incombination with the turnigy 9x please let me know soon as possible :D

I bought ASK 21 before 3 weeks. The quality is catastrophic. Torn off rudder-damaged. closes well housing-not possible to full closing. Malfunctions motor or speed controller. It is not possible to fix rod altitudinal rudder. The custom servis is doing nothink about the waranty of the order Number:2002993876 (ASK 21 Mi). Best regards Ivan Ládr
Sehr schöner Segler, super Gleiteigenschaften. Für einen Steigflug reich Halbgas völlig aus. Schwerpunkt ist ein bisschen tricky da er sich verlagert wenn der Motor ausgeklappt wird. Mit einem 1300 mah 25C pack muss vorne noch Gewicht rein gepackt werden. Schwerpunkt bei ausgeklappten Motor ist genau da wo die Servokabel in der Tragfläche verlaufen. Mit eingefahrenem Motor befindet er sich 0,5 bis 0,7 cm hinter den Servokabeln.
Das oft diskutierte Durchbiegen der Flügell stört beim Flug weniger, bei einer echten ASK arbeiten die Flügel auch!
Minuspunkte: Der Magnet vom Haubenverschluss ist zu lasch
Die Anlenkungen der Ruder müssen nachgebessert werden da sonst zu Schwergängig.
