i use a 37.5 or 40 mm prop, hk 60a boat esc (watercooled) and 2 x 2200 3s 30C battery in parallel.( a 4500 3s 30c would work finei think, but beware of the discharge rate, the motor draw 60A continuous, and more at start).
i would add that your battery should have a high discharge rate : at least 40C
i put 2 in // 2200 3s 30C in my boat, and the two battery are quite hot after 5 minutes... i tried with a single 30C battery, but the motor draw too much amps and the tension fall down to the security level of the esc when i put full throttle
Most turnigy stuff is metric but this is all standard... 1/8th shaft. Odd. Replacement bearings are 1/8 by 3/8 by 5/32 deep. Turnigy bearings suck so I'll be replacing them with teflon sealed ceramic bearings. To get the back end off take out the 3 screws and tap the shaft end gently with a hammer. There is glue inside that sometimes bonds to the back of the case, many light taps are better than a hard one.

Yes that will work. The ESC can handle a constant current of 45A and the motor will just peak on 50A. If you use the correct gearing for your car you will have no problem. The lipo will support the current too.
i should work due to the mini revos that use 380 motors work well on 1300mah lipos, i would recommend higher c rating if possible, if you plan to by the esc, and looking at the hobbyking 30amp, get the 45 amp with the fan, its the same base size.
Can you report back what you experianced? Seems quite small. The lipo will deliver aprox 20A of power. The motor can peak 50A. You will nt reach the maximum possible power output.
Can anyone verify the shaft diameter? Specs. give 4mm, config table gives 3.175. This motor appears to be a new version. The older one had 4mm shaft, no screws in rear cover. Thanks
it would be good for it as its made to run with 380 motor, with it being a 4 pole it should be pretty powerful. it uses a 15t mod 1 pinion for 3mm shafts
this motor could very well be a great replacement. im looking at getting this. i have had a few mini revos and slashes, those motors are 2 pole where this is a 4 pole, its only 300kv less which you can gear up one or 2 teeth or leave it alone and will have great performance and possibly more torque due to 4 pole motors have about 50% more torque over 2 poles. only thing is it wont be water proof like the vxl from traxxas is
I installed the motor in My e-Revo. The shaft was too long and had to be shortened. Looks good so far. Still looking for the right pionion.

I installed this into my Stinger 64 with an 50 Amps ESC with a Turnigy Batt Lit 3200 MAmps 3S 20C. nevertheless I feel that it flight better with a Batt 2500 MAmps 3S 25C. (Less weitgh and faster) somebody could recomend me about the selection of better battery to improve speed and efficiency on this motor?
Massive power, huge speed and great high pitch noise with 3S Lipo, 6x5 prop and 30A in a 800g wing. Great motor.

Massive power, huge speed and great noise.
Used with 3S Lipo 2200maH and 60A esc. Great motor great speed.
