Somehow I lost one of my front dogbones (that's the drifeshaft that connects the differential to the wheel). So I took the other one out also and turned it into a rear wheel drive car. I also melted one of my rear wheels (hex nut as well) so I took the hex nut and wheel of the front and put a non-matching replacement wheel on the front. Car runs great.
*GiboRenz to find parts you have to click on "cars and parts" and then on "spare parts." There is a section for this car. Most of the parts are pretty cheap but they only ship from China. I just ordered about a dozen parts for $15 shipped, including all the front suspension parts. Most of the parts only cost fifty cents or so.
Bought this car for my Wife. Its a lot of fun and drives great until she walked up to me at the park with the front tire hanging down. When I asked her what happened, she said a tree jumped out in front of it...DOHH! All the parts I needed were here at HK and they are really inexpensive. Shipping will depend on where you are at, but I would recommend getting a few extra parts when you order because they don't cost to much so you don't have to pay for shipping twice. I figured since the front end parts I needed were under $1 (US) each, I would just get double to keep the price of future shipping down.
One of my wheel hex nuts is destroyed and I can't find a replacement. Does HK sell one that fits? Also is the pin hole for the hex nut pins a 1mm or 2mm hole? It looks like 1mm to me. I can't seem to find replacement parts anywhere for this car. The wheel got destroyed also, and I can't find a replacement that fits. Any ideas?

This car is so not for indoor use. I broke my son's on xmas morning because I was goofing off in the living room. He was not impressed. If you are using a 3s lipo, back it down to 2s and that will slow it down a little but this car is a rocket right out of the box even on 2s. My 6 year old who already had some time on toy grade cars runs it just fine on 2s outside in the field down the street.
upgrades that are a must-
front hubs as the screw and plastic collar come loose from regular running. happens on the front more often. You can screw back in until the hub strips out. alum upgrade will stop this from happening again.
add a 20x20x10 or 25x25x10 micro fan over esc.
I run on 3s for hours with this setup.
i use the 1800 nanotechs. a little longer than the space provided but i mount with a velcro strap and seems to work fine. I could remove the battery post closest to the spur but i fear the lipo will make contact with spur as the post actually keeps the lipo safe from harm. a better choice i want to try is to add a hump pack instead of the longer 1800 nanotech.
"I could remove the battery post closest to the spur but i fear the lipo will make contact with spur as the post actually keeps the lipo safe from harm" fast mod to fix so you dont have to put a strap move the battery post as far as you can to center line of the buggy drill new screw holes and place it back in new spot that will opean up room for the batt plus keep it from harm.
It's a $72 brushless car so yeah, it's worth it. Is it real high quality? No, but way better than I expected. If you don't have any servo motors laying around, order a few. There is a spot on the center beam where you can mount a micro servo. I have the blue plastic geared one in there and it works just fine.
This car is very fast on a 2s, I haven't tried a 3s yet because I don't want to fry the esc. Only ***mer is no USA parts support But I suppose you could buy 2.
i got one of these recently and it's a fun little car! i need to adjust the gears, cuz it isn't smooth. i think if i don't adjust the gear mesh, they may strip eventually, especially since i drive it like i stole it! is the gear mesh adjustable? please help me out if you know how to adjust this! please , cuz i wanna drive it soooooo bad but dont want to strip these gears.........
Wow i saw this today in the USA warehouse and i couldn't resist the price so i ordered 1, not bad at all for the price, i had the 1/16 mini revo a year back and i had lots of fun with it. This is like something similar the size not the strength but for this price is worth the shot
I received my monster VW from US warehouse in only 4 days. Pretty well packed, no damage at all. You can squeeze in a 7.4 v 1800 ma battery if you remove the outside battery mount. This allows for a good 15 min run. The little car is quite fast, almost uncontrollable in dirt at full throttle. Seems quite durable, I can't even count how many times I've tumbled it end over end with no damage. Great little car.

I'm actually impressed with this little fella: runs amazing for its size, i fitted a 7.4v 2000mah Venom battery with no issues and gave me bashing and speeds runs for almost an hour. Great buy for the money, highly recommended!

I normally fly planes, but living in the desert it gets a little hot to be out flying so I decided to dabble with RC cars for a change. This little buggy is a blast. I bought some 2s 1300 batteries for it and it books. Everything is pretty simple on it but the battery tray might need a little modification to fit some batteries. Oh well, no biggie. I won't buy anything from the China warehouse anymore, but I'll chance it stateside. This time I had no problems.

I have bought 2 of these now. Runs very smooth and fast. Bought the second one because HK didnt have the parts in stock to fix. This was after a full speed crash into a curb. Very little damage considering impact. I fitted a Turnigy 2s 30c 2200mah pack. Seems to run forever.
Now for the bad both of ours have stripped the rear differential gears. The gears are metal but still stripped out in same fashion on both. I recommend making sure the slipper is not too tight and allows for some slip to keep this from happening. I just JB welded the rear differental to make it a spool rear end. But that is just going to break something else I am sure. also hops a little when turning. Hope i can keep the new gears from stripping when they get here. :)

Great little car. Have one for my son and one for me and we have a blast! I was worried about parts and breaking but they have been very durable. FInally son took it full speed into the curb breaking only one part. Got on HK website and new part was only .55 cents! it will take a week to get here so I ordered a few extra parts for next time! Very fun little car.
