Had the maiden flight today, everything fine until a pilot error caused a low altitude, spiral dive. Plane survived, but motor cut out on impact. Worked like normal at crash site, but after I powered it off and back on again (battery disconnected and reconnected), the motor now powers up to about 30% and dies immediately. Servos work fine still. Got a flashing red light on the board when you open the throttle. Prop spinner came loose, but I quick fixed that. Any ideas on cause?
i had the same proplem with a motor i crashed the plane and the motor started doing like yours. i found out that when i activate it, its underpowered. the proplem is the motor shaft broke and that might be exactly what happened to you you have to buy another one.
Hope i helped you :)
Sorry but this is designed an sold as a RTF TX/RX. It will only work with the provided Nine Eagles controller. (Even if you could find a nine Eagles RX somewhere the TX has no bind button)
CrashAce is half right. Binding is easy. Push in (not down, you'll hear a click) the throttle stick while turning the Tx on. It should go into bind mode. Put the throttle to zero (all the way down). Plug in the battery to the Rx. It should bind within a few seconds. Do a search for nine eagles here and you will find this plane's receiver set (Nine Eagles NE407632001A Receiver Set) for sale.
Skysurfer EPO Glider 4CH 780mm (RTF) (Mode 1) I bought this item, I have a problem whit the propeller is disconnects when I start the act of flight, is there a way to fix this problem.
Accessory was not shipping people
thanks

I know it's been a year since you asked, but I thought I'd answer in case you still need help. Do a search at the top of this page for "skysurfer" and you will see the replacement prop. That should solve your problem. In the meantime you could try using a drop of CA glue to hold the prop on the motor shaft.
rajitha, for now i cant see any available electronics here in hk for this plane..all there electronics board are on only cable of 1s battery only.thats 3.7v..this plane needs 2s,7.4v....we just wait...
The single inconvenient is that plug does not fit! So, why don't you adapt it ? Just buy a plug that fit, some wires, some tape for isolation and you're ready to go! Electronically speaking, that charger supports your AC voltage in South Africa.
Or just use another 12V power adapter that fit your standard with the supplied charger.
This is and "N60" direct drive motor most often used in for the tail rotor on helicopters. The original Nine Eagles part number is NE413781001A.
Hobby King does not seem to carry this type of direct drive brushed motor.
If you get a brushless motor you would have replace the ESC/receiver module with your own components.
This one is made of epo. As to which one is more durable, its debatable. EPP seems to take much more damage since it has some flex compared to epo. In any case, these two are better than eps.
hello I speak to them the following, I have more than two weeks to buy a plane and some batteries with you but I did not even shipped my order ah, that's what happens and how much longer delay to reach me my order?
You sadly will have to wait some time, especially after the chinese new year hangover. Even my orders are waiting for 1 - 2 weeks. One more thing, are any of the stuff you bought on backorder? If so, you'll have to wait for stock arrival before they ship your package out.
don't worry ihad the same problem also.it is because HK had alot of orders and need to check-up so that it wont mix-up or left behind before delivery. This is the 3rd time of my orders, just need to wait 3-10days.
The best battery for this plane that is available here now is the ZIPPY Flightmax 350mAh 2S 20C. Make sure you put it standing upright as far back in the cockpit as possible to get good center of gravity. You probably should put some slight weight on the tail as well. I actually recommend a lighter battery for better CG, but none is available now here at HK.
The replacement battery is actually in stock now (Micro Xtra-300 7.4V 250mah 2S Replacement Battery) but it is way overpriced (even after login and put in cart, around eight bucks).
i tested it with the micro fpv from n i t r o p l a n e s, and it worked fine. however, i had to use two 90mah 1s batteries in series, as the 9v alkaline battery they reccomend using was too heavy. i didn't use the mount that came with the camera, i just used velcro on the bottom of the camera. it worked fine. for a video of the fpv system on a car, go to rcllamadudes channel on youtube.
Wait for the replacement parts to arrive and build your own. Shouldnt be to hard to build one with the mikro Orange reciever and servos. And then you could add a brushless motor as well. Nine Eagles and $pektrum (Horizon) are competitors and will never use the same technology, just as you will never be able to play PS3 games on a Xbox.
I just ordered the Sky 500 and I'll likely be looking at this one too. Yeah, I'd prefer to use my good $pektrum transmitter, but it's really overkill for a relatively slow sailplanes. A minor annoyance at worst, and the proprietary radios won't stop me from getting more NE planes.
slaanesh yes I know. But at least Specktrum make a all in one replacement. Me I am stuck with my Tunnigy and there are NO all in ones for them. BUT I am considering buying a Eagle Nine System, So I can get into all the micro plane. You should have a look it looks like a nice Transmitter. It has a LED and id programmable too. Have a look.

This is a superb little glider for calm days. The brushed motor is more than powerfull enough and it glides really well. The servos are quite noisy, but do the job. Im not a fan of the ergonomics of the tx, but its not a big issue. All in all I think this little glider is a fantastic value.

I helped a mate get one of these in the air today. He had only taken it out of the box, but not done any assembly. Very little was needed to be done to get it flying. I adjusted the clevis on the rudder to make it straight, while the elevator and ailerons were perfect out of the box. The stock battery puffed when being charged... Good thing we had 6x350mAh 2s batteries on hand!
At first I thought the rudder servo was stuffed, but on 'advanced' (high rates) it moved a little. The plane launched like a dream, had plenty of power and the rudder actually worked pretty well in spite of not moving much! The ailerons don't provide much roll, but steer the plane OK. For tighter turns, coordinate the elevator with the ailerons.
All up this is a really good beginner package. The box is really good for carrying the thing around too. Shame about the battery, but really impressed with the rest of the package.
