My motor mount that came with this broke. Does anyone have a link or item that I could search for that would be a suitable replacement motor mount? I hope the replacement is the exact same size, as I don't want to drill more holes.

Has anybody experience with this motor on 2S(Props/PowerConsumption)?.
I thougt of running an EasyGlider with this on 2S/3S, but all comments are only for 3S, incl. the description.

I just wonder, why this one comes with female connectors? I have females on my ESCs. So in case the motor gets disconnected, females in heatshrink will not short out and burn my ESC.... :) Or all motors come with females, and Im doing it wrong?? just curious *)
   xero67156 (59%)
There is a "semi-standard" with velcro on the battery/esc/reciever which is fuzzy side on components (makes for easy borrowing of buddies components if you all follow a "standard") but I know of none for motor-ESC connections. For the record, I do mine the same way as you.
   quesnes (57%)
No problem with mine, it comes with male connector.

I installed this motor in my EasyGlider with a 11x8 Aeronaut Propeller.
The motor begins to stink because of heat.
My first Easyglider I lost because of this machine I think.
Which is the maximum folding prop for this?
   jbestell (71%)
11x8 is far too large. Try a 10x6 and work up.
   Diego (20%)
Whith 3s lipo 1800 25 C and a esc 50A the motor is very hot (62C) and consum only 15A whit 9x5 folding prop. The plane is a warmliner electric glider mouton 1600.
I dont understand what about this.
   Mr Ed (19%)
The best prop for this motor is a 10X6 folding prop, either Aerotech or Graupner. You need to give it some air to keep it running cool. The best sport prop is a 9X6 and for 3D either a 10X4.7 or 9X4.7 will work fine. I've been running mine for 2 years now on these props and it runs great. 11X8 is to way to big for this motor. Max is an 11X6 for short runs only. All these props are on 3S batteries.
   quesnes (57%)
I use 10*5 on 3S with no problem. Near 1kg of thrust....
   Such Is Life (50%)
Make sure you use a thin electric prop, they're much more efficient with these motors. I get about 25% more amp draw with the same thrust using a wooden 10x5. I find 10x5 apc-e style the best.

Can I reverse the shaft and run this motor with the shaft sticking out of the reverse end? I've done the procedure, but can't figure out a way to keep the can and base together?
   flyboy1001e (70%)
It appears the shaft does not have the grove for the snap clip at the end of the shaft anymore, as shown in the picture. I used a small triangluar file and made a grove at the end like in the picture, and was able to reverse the motor and keep it together.
   quesnes (57%)
It's sold with a prop adapter you can fix on the rear of the motor (the opposite of the shaft on the picture). So you can have a propeler on the 2 sides.

I destroyed the motor trying to do what Ralph did. The portion of the shaft with the set screw will not come out.

I had to reshape magnet housing as it was out of round after shaft removal. I ordered anew motor figuring it was ruined, but have flow 10x since replacing shaft.

Does anyone have any idea whether or not this thing will handle a 12*6 slowflyer prop for 3D. i want to use it on a eflite ultimate biplane foamy with a 12*6 for light 3d but am afraid I might let the smoke out.

I broke the shaft in a crash. I cant remove the shaft from the base end with set screw. Screw is out, tired heat and pliers. Any hints?
   Ralph (0%)
Finally had to use a punch and 1/4"socket to remove

   psilva (47%)

   quesnes (57%)

I have several of these motors and can answer a few of the questions. The most powerful prop I've found is a 11-5 APC type. These can be mounted at either end.

strawbs (72%)
Can these be mounted at either end? Thanks
   quesnes (57%)
Yes it could and all the thing needed are in the box.

   knuts (73%)
I'm using it with 11x6 and 12x6 Graupner CAM folding prop on 3s and a friend of mine use it with a 10x6 CAM. It works very well with these prop sizes.
