Can this motor be used for a .40 trainer with four cells?

Yes. Mine is on an 80 inch Easy Stick with an 80amp ESC, Top Flite 13x6 prop, and 14.8v 4500mah YKS lipo. The flight weight is 5.9lbs. I've used a 6 cell 4500mah, but the motor heats up.

No they do not come with prop adapters.

They do not come with prop adapters, and you will likely not find one at your LHS. Go ahead and order one or two (6mm) when you purchase the motor.

This motor works great on my Hk clipped wing cub. With 4s, and a 13" prop, it flys like a dream.

Awesome motor. Even though I read the specs, I was surprised at how large this motor is. TONS of power. I also have a monster jet from Grayson, but this is far more powerful for 1/3 the price!

Installed in a Great Planes Edge 540 49.5" wing span. Useing 60 amp ESC, 2200mah 25C 4 cell Lipo. 13x4 APC prop, 43 amps. Very strong motor. Replaced a Rimfire .32. Better vertical with this motor. A Rimfire .32 costs $89.99.

Really GREAT motor! paired with a 30 amp ESC swinging a 9x4.5 prop on my vintage Kyosho Etude 1200. Perfect for the job! The motor is quite a bit larger than i thought even after looking at the specs but it still fits the application.

Excellent motor, very durable! 30 min flight times on a 4200 mah battery. excellent performance: 12X8 prop Turnigy 60A ESC 4200 turnigy 4 cell, unlimited vertical in modded Flyzone sensei. Thank you hobby king.
