Mine came with the canopy almost unusable (badly damaged at some stage by being exposed to excessive heat). If spares support were available it would certainly improve things.

I have a 5 blade edf lying around, will this give enough thrust on a 4300kv motor? Can you hand launch this plane easy enough?

Assuming a 3cell 2200 of 35c or up Yes.. And u can hand launch it very easily

The t-45 Goshawk a good kit only fault the rudder is to thin and will not sit in position with out some mods,I cut a new one out of 5mm depron not like the 2.3 mm supplied same with the elevators 5mm depron. I did all the mod from RC Groups retracts landing gear rudder mod a lander EDF 4000 KV. The weight is now 1300 gms from about 800 gms stock takes about 100 mtr to get of the ground fly so so glides well. Will do another 10 flights before i do a landing with the retracts.

Kit is overal of modest quality. Requires shims to get rudder to fit better. Carbon spar for whole wing. Glue in some toothpick bolts for the rear stabiliser. I glued the canopy then cut it off to create removable canopy instead of clumsy and small battery compartment. Elevator and Aileron linkages systems are perfectly fine without modding. Esc placement and access is great with vented cooling. Flying characteristics are fantastic. Very Stable. Glides in nicely for landings. Cornering is very direct. Needs lots of up elevator when flying inverted. Setup is 4S 2200, Turnigy 2815 EDF 3500Kv Motor. 64mm 6 Blade fan about 450 watts. Hand launches are actually very easy despite the planes large size.
