i use these one to have fun with my 109. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_ viewItem.asp?idProduct=27795 i use the ailerons as flaps by transmitterprogramming. with just 3mm flapfunction on 4S, half throttle and away with slightly swing works great :)
Which battery are you all using? Do you recommend 1/2 throttle to launch?

This is my first RC plane, I had have a few hours sim training when I was waiting for the delivery. It's a nice looking plane and it arrived in perfekt condition. Because it was my first time to even hold a RC plane I took my time with the assembly. There was a manual included with a few pictures and the CG pointed out. The assembly was easy and I used a universal contact glue and that worked fine.
If you are a beginner like me and want to fly this plane here comes a few tips so you can avoid a few things/crashes :)
Don't take the CG lightly, I did..not good! Make the Plane a little more noseheavy by adding a 10-15gram weight right behind the motor.
Put the battery (Turnigy 1000mah 3S 20-30C) as far up the nose thats possible, also but the ESC beside the battery and fit the receiver between the battery and the magnets for the cockpit.
I use stock setup with the above battery.
First flight, (by my more experienced friend) 4 sek Crash, ripped the nose off just behind the main wings. No other damage. Found the black box and it said BACK HEAVY!
Glued it back together with 1mm plastic strips on both inner sides and the bottom for strength and also a really strong packing tape on the outside. Put a 10 gram weight just behind the motor. The Plastic and glue probably added a little more weight as well.
Second flight, same experienced pilot again forced by me :

I just received this plane and it's awesome.
It's almost ready to fly, just a few pieces to glue and add RX and battery.
The workmanship is excellent, lot's of scale details.
I was a bit surprised readint the instructions that the wing has to be glued on. For storage and transportation this isn't a very good idea and I'll try to make it removable.
Also note that the ESC comes with 2mm banana plugs, while most of HK batteries come with XT connectors, so be prepared to do a bit of soldering as well.
Can't wait for the weekend to fly it !

Maiden it on monday with 4s 850mah nanotech 45-90c, original prop took 26A and was fast:) In -7°C and low clouds I flied only one test and was happy, easy to land. Hopely it's available without electrics later when I need spare part's.

Die Spitfire fliegt für die Größe super gut. Nicht für Anfänger geeigntet!
Beim zweiten Flug ist mir leider der original Regler komplett abgeraucht und der Flieger hat Feuer gefangen.
Nach der Reparatur und einem neu eingebauten Markenregler fliegt er wieder einwandfrei.
