Turnigy nano-tech 5300mah 2S2P 50~100C Hardcase Lipo Pack (USA Warehouse)

More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo  nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.

In short, less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.

Unfortunately with other big brands, numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.

1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries:
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.
-Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC
-Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.
-Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
-Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

I'm just wondering something with the batteries, I have the soft pack in the 5800mah that I use for practice on my race truck and really like them, but I need hard pack roar approved in order to race on the track. Are these hard packs roar approved. I know I could go to the roar website and go thru the list, but if I can get an answer now that would be great. Thank you

I have two of these and they do NOT have "ROAR Approved" stickers on them. I believe the smiliar Nano-tech in 5600 is ROAR approved though.

Currently they are not on the list, but hopefully will be added in the future ***********roarracing****/?page_id=259

I just picked up 2 of these 2s 5300 50c nano packs and I want to take care of them to get maximum cycles and power. I have read some vague references to "break-in" for new Lipos. What exactly should be done for a proper "break-in"?
 tab1257 20 points
just be sure to charge it on a balance charger, then for the first 2-3 cycles dont take it to the full c rating. If your running it in a car or truck dont keep the throttle wide open the whole battery pack, maybe half throttle for a cycle or two then you will be fine. It takes time for the cells to even out and have a balanced chemistry. 2-3 cycles should do the trick

makes sense. Thanks! point awarded. Does it matter where the LVC is set for the first few cycles or just the standard, 3.0v per cell, is acceptable?
 usv568 1 points
3.0v for the lvc you should be ok. I have always used the standard lvc programing in my esc so I don't hurt my battery. Double check it, I didn't when I got into RC and wasted a few 3s batteries. I recharge after every race or heat race so I don't have to worry about it.

Great shipping super fast, batteries came balanced and took the first charge perfect. My son and I have Traxxas Slash 2wd and 4wd. Which the batteries fit great in both trucks. We will be taking a trip over to a local indoor track today to try these batteries packs. Have great day and THANKS HOBBY KING.

I have 2 of these now, and have used them approximately 25 times each, with no problems. High C rating for when you need that quick power to clear a jump.

The two Nano-tech 2s 5300mah 50c Lipos that i picked up for my evader brushless are working out okay. Even though I bought them at the same time, ran them the same number of times in the same car with the same LVC (3.2 volts per cell), one pack is noticeably better than the other. I even store them at proper voltage between weekends. Pack #1 takes ~5200mah when charged, but pack #2 takes only ~5000mah. Pack #1 also seems to be punchier longer than pack #2. That being said, #2 is still more than acceptable to get crazy speed and torque for bashing.
