This superb looking P-47 is from our top quality Durafly range and has enough scale detail and features to keep any warbird enthusiast happy. The 1100mm range offers the RC pilot a practical size model that can be easily transported and uses the ever popular 2200mAh 3s Lipoly pack, yet at the same time, the model is large enough to have presence and is able to tackle most airfields, not to mention a little wind, making it very practical.
As well as looking fantastic, this EPO Thunderbolt is plug and fly, meaning very little assembly work is needed. The powerful outrunner motor, ESC, navigation lights, servoless electric retracts & servo's are all pre-installed leaving you to glue on the tailfeathers and some scale detailing, bolt on the plug in wings and go flying!
We have flown this superb Jug extensively during testing and it will not disappoint, there is plenty of power for those really scale warbird aerobatics and the airframe is viceless with no hint of a tip stall. The pre-installed flap servo's have a nice, slow operation to help prevent ballooning and the flaps themselves allow the approach speed to get down to a crawl without a hint of wingrock. There is no doubt, this is one fantastic looking warbird and it flies as easily as a low wing trainer!
can someone please tell me the part number for a replacement motor for P-47 1100mm.
standard Hobbyking one is GC3536-kv750 but cant find that in here. please help.
cheers
I would just look for an equivalent-sized motor with similar KV rating. IE, look for a 3536 750KV motor. Exact KV does not have to be identical, but anything - 100kv of 750 should do.
Received from Sydney warehouse within 3 days of order. Quality finish and scale detail. Easy build, used supplied glue ok. COG is not as per manual, it balances at 65mm from LE, which is default once you place 3S 2200 Pack in the nose. Great flyer slows up nice with flaps. Retracts are an issue, the wheels are toed in, ie not straight, & need straighting. This will be a couple of hours work, un-do them and re file the flats on the ends of legs. Unscrew leg door covers, and re-glue on with apoxy whilst legs are retracted. Screws in this kit are terrible, i stripped a few whilst screwing the retracts a couple of times, and had to drill them out.

Flown it a few more times in no wind to get a good feel. The plane is rock solid, cruises at 50pcnt throttle, and has a real presence in the air. Not a speed machine, but great scale flyer. Hands off, with little trim required. Definately don't put extra nose weight in it, the plane is not tail heavy. It will balance with a 3S 2200 in the nose. Lands no flap easy with a trickle of power down to the ground.

Disappointed with this model as it was received minus the canopy! How can Hobby King send out a pre packaged model without a canopy? I have put in a support request and will add to this post when I have an update. The spare parts are only held in the international warehouse so I only hope I don't get a credit to purchase one from there as I will then need to pay for international postage as well as waiting weeks for it to arrive. I'm hoping that the service I get from HobbyKing on this issue will be better than what I have received in the past.

Update about missing canopy - Well I have finally received my replacement canopy - but only after considerable effort. At first HobbyKing said they would order a replacement from the supplier and send it to me when they received it. Then they closed my support ticket. It wasn't until I reopened another ticket and complained constantly that they decided to send me a replacement from stock (which they should have done in the first place). So I have now received the replacement and have the plane flying. It's surprising that another person has also received a P47 with a missing canopy. Seems this may be a common problem.
