Combined with a 10x6 E-prop this motor can push out over 1000g in thrust on a 3S1P configuration lipo. Good for bigger foamies or parkflyers where about 150W is required.
I've been waiting on this for 2 weeks and it is holding up my whole order. I purchased this to go into a phoenix 2000 glider. Can anyone recommend an alternative to this motor? It could be more or less expensive... just as long as it is in stock.
Thank you
I'm confused on thrust output... At the top of the description it shows 'Combined with a 10x6 E-prop this motor can push out over 1000g in thrust on a 3S1P configuration lipo' yet in the suggested props list it shows '11.1V 16.7A 1060 650g'.... So which one is it?
Thanks for pointing that out, totally missed that LoL. I was looking only at the 10" specs. Trouble is that in drive calc, with voltage constant set at 11.1v, max eff on this thing is 77% * 7a... By the time you get upto the load a 1060 prop will put on it you're looking at 16-17a & an eff of only 63-65% & thrust in the 850gr range. 0906 would put it at 14a, 68% eff, 819gr thrust.... 60w of heat is a lot to ask a 57gr motor to shrug off. I have tours motor & will be running a 1050 on it, I'll be mindful of throttle management for sure, just wish they would tell the truth rather than making us dig for it like this.....
This engine is a possible way to powered the Nieuport XI Balsa 900mm (ARF), Turnigy 1300mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack, Turnigy dlux 20A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller. Is this a good set? What's the best propeller? I'm experient at glows planes, but this is my first EP...
Hi. To take out the shaft what should I do? I removed the 2screws, the circlip and the collar below it. But the shaft does not want to come out. nothing else?
Can anyone advise what all the pieces are in the kit and why the shaft is poking out the wrong side. There is no shaft to bolt the prop onto. Yet there is a shaft sticking out the other end. What the deal?
You can use the motor in both directions. There is a mounting thing that goes on the shaft and another one that goes on the bell side of the motor. That is the same for all outrunner motors.
It is frustrating all the engineering required to make the propsaver fit. I do not own a dremel and cannot easily fabricate a locking mechanism for the shaft to stop it pulling through the motor. Would be nice if they included a shaft that we could swap with to actually fit the accessories sold with it! Also got the wrong X motor mount which was irritating. Only really annoying aspect of the motor but otherwise great!
i had the bearing in my Pheonix 2000 glider motor fail and had one of these for another project fitted and tested with 10x6 folding prop and 3sx1800 lipo (model clamped) and full throttle applied amp reading 18.5A for 2 minuets and motor got hot but i think will be ok when airborne as load will be reduced any comments
Operating Current: 6A ~ 15A Peak Current: 19A use 25 amb esc and 9x7 prop Use for high speed 9x7 prop or for high draft on smaller speed 10x5 prop (9?6)
I use this motor with 10x6 prop with no problem on LiPo 3s. Flight times are about 5 to 10 minutes, with 70-90 power most of the time, and motor barely gets warm...
I had this motor on an Airfoilz Extra 260 Full-Fuse plane. I was running a 10x4.6 prop, and the motor handled it just fine. I was also using a 30 amp esc and 3s 25-50c nano tech lipo. I did purchase another motor as I think I need more thrust.
Winson i have put on Easy Glider with little modification and is ok!! beware with Multiplex Spinner and Aeronut will be have more Amber(i have take 23A!! you want smaller Spinner of Folding Propeller
If you compare this motor with one suggested for easy glider pro on multiplex site www.link you'll see that this one is much weaker. So I'd rather search for more powerful motor.
you might be thinking of programming the speed control, your timing mode is how fast each phase fires, SPEEDING UP YOUR TIMING WILL NOT SPEED UP YOUR MOTOR!!! i dont think i can stress that enough set it at standard (around the middle or medium, or else it will fry your ESC
Sorry, I was thinking of the 15amp one... I have not used this one... however, I've used the 15amp one and the 23amp ones on 4cell and 6x5.5 props, so I'll assume this one would be ok too... prop for the same watts you would on 3cell...
Urgent!! Can anyone from Hobby King or another experienced customer with physical access to the 2213 motor tell me the linear distance between the far ends(and near end, if possible)of the holes used for mounting the motor. My entire mechanical design hangs from a thread for the lack of this information. Pls respond ASAP.
A good little motor BUT be warned when ordering the prop adaptor, shaft size measured at 3.15 mm, NOT 3.175 mm as advertised.

7 thumbs up!
The only inconvience with this motor is that you have to solder the connecters on it. Also the wires exiting the motor are not color coded. Other than that this is one awsome motor especially considering is less than $20. I am very pleased with mine.

This engine is a possible way to powered the ParkMaster 3D Multiplex (may be the 2213/22 924kv is better?)
3S zippy 1200 mAh 10x4.7 APC SF 17.80 A 11.12 v 198 W 7410 t/mn 1009 g efficiency 68 pcnt
