Does it come with XT60? CAn I add this inplace of any other connector?
   Saurabh (98%)
No, BUt you can use the spare loop to add any connectors. When you cut the loop, you get wires to add 2 connectors of your choice.

   msanche (94%)
You can modify this with the connectors you want, you can add 1S lipo conector, or car battery conectors
   scaryaaron (22%)
no. The only part of this that has leads heavy enough for the xt60 connector have a deans plug on them. you could remove it and install the xt60 instead.

My battery has a JST and a deans plug, sorry i'm a knewbie and i don't know.
Can i charge my battery through Deans???
   Jason (56%)
Yes, absolutely. I charge my Lipo batteries through the Deans and mini-Deans connectors all the time.
   chapier61 (70%)
the reply is in your question chap !

   fordfm (46%)
Yes, you can charge the battery through Deans the plug
   Henrik (29%)
sure thats what its for,the small one is the balancer plug and when youre charging lipos remember to balance them through it
   pee69wee (30%)
Yes, but you also always need to use the balancer-cable (JST).
   nismo (73%)
Hi Maestros
Yes you can chrage your lipo's through the jst connector or deans T, Do you mean the white JST-XH balance plug or standard red jst plug which is fitted to most small lipo's, Charging through the discharge plug is fine but balancing your lipo through the jst-xh balance plug should be done every few charge's depending on how balanced the pack is
   chapier61 (70%)
A big YES ! You MUST charge your battery through the Dean's connector. I suppose your battery is a LIPO's type, isn't it ? So the JST plug is for balancing only (put a look on your charger which should have a particular JST therefore). Hope this help...
   etiennevdb (34%)
Yes, this harnass does have a male Deans connector fitted, or you could fit any connector as it has two spare leads. I'm quite happy with this product!
   Brainanator (50%)
Yes, Deans is a high current adapter that can be used for charging and discharging.
   Ashley (29%)
yeah sure you can.
   Kostas (47%)
Maestros, musicaly speaking, you sould be able to charge through the deans connector. The harness has a build in JST, why don't you use the JST?
What type of battery is it?
   doug (100%)
deans is a type of plug it is a brand name, many speed controllers use different type of plug. you can remove the male plug off this and solder the type you are using.

I would like to have a harness with deans, xt60, ec5, and jxt

I wouldn't mind soldering on the connectors I need but wanted noticed only the deans was on larger wire.

Wanted to see what the max amperage you could put throught the smaller wires would be.
   waynemia (74%)
I have ordered over 12 of these. Never had one polarity reversed. As for XT60 or EC, I just made some Dean's adapters. It works for me. I use the loop for some other odd connectors I have.
   chapier61 (70%)
The HobbyKing charging harness I bought (same as on the picture)have, at my opinion, wires perfectly adapted to the numberous connector going with. If I were you I should not brake my brain about "the max amperage" which is well sufficient for the current use anyway. This harness is very good buy and worth it's price. Be confident, buy one, you shall not regret it.
   klintan (53%)
I made an adapter to use with the new xt60 connectors! I soldered a DEANS Male "back to back" to a xt60 Female and used hotglue to isolate. Good connection without losses. I believe you can make a similar adapter for your ec5s too! Works great!!
   klintan (53%)
Sorry, the other way around Female Deans to Male xt60!!
   Randal Oliveira (62%)
Sorry to say that the spare wires are way to thin for xt60 or ec5. You could solder a 14awg silicon piece of wire in the "base" and ould all set to go. For the price is a excellent harness.
   vosdeboss (80%)
it works ok! with 5 amp till so far.
   Napstr (86%)
Doesn't really matter what the size of wire is unless you are planning to charge at massive amps, 20awg wire is fine for a 10 amp current and how many of you charge at that rate? Normal charge rate is less than 5 amps at which case standard servo wire is equal to the task.

ne o comprato ancora uno perche e molto comodo, carichi di tutto anche radio e carica batteria contemporaneamente

jerrycan (70%)
So when are we going to see an XT60 on these?
   X-ray (74%)
I guess when we replace the old once.

paceoz (67%)
hey guys have they fixed the problem up with the wires being soldered on the wrong way

Garry (77%)
Which plug should I use for the Hobby King Transmitter? It is the JR or Futaba plug?

Thanks
   Letatel (89%)
check polarity by re-assembling your TX...

acessorio molto ben fatto e poco costoso consigliato

Didimau (78%)
imho there should have been an MPX style plug too
   Beaufighter (-25%)
In my opinion too, but I think it's just you and me using the mpx plug nowadays... I'm considering changing all my equipment to deans to make it easyer for myself, even though I prefer the mpx.
   Didimau (78%)
Yeah my last order was with deans, I just dont want to buy them at $4 a pair when I can buy 10 for the same price, HC is out of stock :/
   Beaufighter (-25%)
And looking at the frontpage today, it seems I was wise not to replace my MPXs, as deans are not sold here anymore due to legal reasons.

freeparaglider (89%)
Yeah if you pull back the insulation, you'll see they mixt up the colors...red = normal + en Black = neg.(-)
They solderd all the red extensions to the black cable en vice versa ( all the black extensions on the red)
So you'll have to switch the plugs on the charger ( + in - and - in + ), but for the radio plugs is it verry confusing....(there are two plugs on it, each witch different polarity????so be carefull.

Peter

   Mustang Sally (96%)
Must have been fabricated by a colorblind (no offence for the colorblinds!) product needs better quality control.

Better to de-solder the wires and attach them the correct way, before one day you are oppositely confused and blow up a battery...
   freeparaglider (89%)
yep this is the best way, i did it....
   waynemia (74%)
The only one I have ever seen reversed is the JR connector.
6/05/2009
freeparaglider (89%)
Watch out they are wrong soldered...they have switched the polarity ( when you connect the plugs in your charger color by color= red on red....the polarity is reversed....or you desoldering and do it right or you switch the colors red plug in black plug on charger.
   Mustang Sally (96%)
One of the plugs must be switched, for the JR. Are you sure the other one is switched as well? For the rest it is plane simple red or black wire following, can not miss...

RCEFlyer (52%)
*Dennis, thx for your reply. I ordered two sets, one for my fieldbox and one for at home :)

*Maguro: yeah that's possible ! I heard from a fellow modeller he made an extra connection with his own connectors.

Maguro (58%)
What's with the loop of wire in the plug set? You can see it in the photo above between the transmitter plugs. Is it possibly so you can cut it and add your own connectors?
   OldSkoolKool (98%)
Exactly. Cut the loop and you can add two more of your own
charging connectors.
   edwardsflyboy (72%)
yes cut it and fit any 2 connectors to 2 leads. i have 2mm and 3.5mm on mine ,do cover with something to avoid shorting out, fuel tube .

RCEFlyer (52%)
Hi,

is the chargeplug for the transmitter also compatible with JR/Graupner ? Cause they are using opposite polatity to Futaba.

Let me know, i'm gonna order some things and i like this charge lead.

Grtz,

   cookie (84%)
if not you can always just resolder it the right way round!
   RCEFlyer (52%)
Hi Rian,

i'd figured that our too, but these plugs are sealed, so that would mess up the charging harness ...
   Guid0 (75%)
There is a JR (2.0mm ID) connector with the Neg. in / Pos. out polarity and a Futaba (2.5mm ID) connector with the Pos. in / Neg. out polarity. Don't let them contact each other (use the black sleeves provided). Pay attention to the diameter of the hole inside the round plugs - I put green shrink sleeve on my JR plug for identification.
   freeparaglider (89%)
and it works well on my graupner whit the right connector.
   jay (84%)
it would be great if it had a traxxas end on it!!!!!!!
