Maybe you can mod the tape to make this one fit ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5452
17 to 28. Or buy a less capacity one.

Well, I bought 2 of this batteries 28/07/09.

boby (1 points) 2/07/2009

Pls update when new stocks are expected. Thks.

Support says that they have no ETA on this item. I pity those who paid for their backorders.
JohnA (3 points) 28/04/2009
28/4/09 Support mentioned today that they will be in stock this week (hope they are right) :-)

what do you think is better for trex 450...this one or 2200 4s 20C...which will give more constant head spead? ... 3s packs usually loose it when pitch is 11.
Patrick (1 points) 4/04/2009
I am not sure where the back order was when I ordered.
T.J. (1 points) 3/04/2009
I asked howmany they were expecting to get and they told me 300-500 of them. Thats not even enough to cover the back order. I want the packs because they are a great price but I cant wait unitl flying season is over to get them.
Patrick (1 points) 3/04/2009
I was told mid to late March. And your right they are saying. Early to mid April now. They just got a bunch of 2650's in too.
Noel (1 points) 2/04/2009
A better question is "for how long will you have to buy them?".....before all the resellers scarf them all up by buying in large quantities!
Geni0815 (32 points) 1/04/2009
When can we expect to buy more?
in the Stausline: Early-mid Apr.
Now, more "Early" or more "mid Apr"?
Wooi Jin (4 points) 1/04/2009
Over 320 backorders! And still no news yet. When can we expect to buy more? I simply love this battery!
Patrick (1 points)
Still waiting....
  Reply:  Stealth (57 points);
Also waiting... ordered when it said "Mid-late May" and now it's "Mid-late June". Will we be seeing July?
Patrick (1 points)
What the deal are they getting these batteries in soon?

A small suggestion: 22AWG balancer wires for fast serial charging using splitter (2x3S).
24AWG wires are fine for max 3 A.
  Reply:  Beaufighter (754 points);
The flightmax is to my knowledge rated max 1C charging, so it should be OK. 2.2A is the max charge rating for this battery... Why would they want to increase the weight (and price) for something that is neither recommended nor permitted, anyway?

Btw
The 3A rating for 24AWG is a design max, and meant for "longer" cables and contious use. A battery is charged for one hour twice a week, and has a 5cm (1.5") lead, not long cable and contious use.
  Reply:  LeszekJ (20 points);
Why? Because it's possible to balance-charge these 30C accumulators at 2C. They suggest to limit charging current just to preserve its life span. At airfield there is no time for mercy*)
Design current or else - charging through balancer wires at e.g. 4 A is impossible due to voltage drop. I've got another accus with short 22AWG wires.
Zippy! Don't stay behind!
  Reply:  Beaufighter (754 points);
It is possible to charge a battery on 2C even if not rated, but they will stop working quite fast, and it is outside the specification (and they may burst, due to internal resistance not being within the "2C grade") Why should all other customers pay for an upgrade beyond the needed? If they rated the batt for 2C charge, then I would see your point.

Bring 4 batteries to the airfield and fly for an hour, or bring 8 and fly for two, is the usual way. Use one dual charger, and you charge two batteries pr hour, bring two, and you're good to go for the whole day through:)

Can anyone tell me if the zippy flightmax balancing connector is wired the same as the venom, esky,e-flight and electrifly batteries? Also, can i charge the zippy with a Triton2EQ charger?
  Reply:  Edward (4 points);
its the same as venom

hi
I've got a protos 500 and i want to now if two of those lipo will give enough power without puffing for hard 3d flying?
  Reply:  Nipster (69 points);
Short answer, yes they would be OK, long answer you'd still notice a difference in power if you were to use a 2200 30c 6S. There is increased resistance due to the extra wires, connectors etc when using 2 batteries.
  Reply:  Africantonic (61 points);
thanks Nipster!!
