i connected this motor directly to 11.1 volt 5000mAh battery ,, there was smoke , n then it never worked // i m new .. plz help.. if i can reuse it ? its 2 -4 windings are burnt..
 Andrius 2 points
You damaged it by connecting directly. Brushless motors must be connected through ESC (electronic speed controller).

Would this motor be sufficient for a normal flight with a EPP FPV? The EPP FPV is arond 2 kg and ofcourse won't be used as a 3D plane as stated "For 1400-1800g 3D airplane." I guess it is but a confirmation would be nice :)
 flyhigh79 38 points
hi i use a "L3010C-1300kv (420w)" on my 1.5kg EPP Fox - it has a little less power/thrust and i can fly unlimited vertical with it - so the 3632 will be enough for a 2kg FPV-Flyer

I forgot to ask. Does anyone think this motor will work okay with a 30A (cont.)/40A (burst) ESC? I would like to use a 3-blade 10.4x4 or 10.4x5 prop. (I can adjust the prop's pitch.)

I am considering buying this motor. But I need to know the millimeter distance between the mounting screws (holes) on the, (1) motor, and (2) on where the X-mounting plate mounts to the planes firewall. If question (1) is 19mm and/or 25mm, that's good. if question (2) is not 42mm, that's bad. Can anyone provide me this information before 10 June 2011? Thank you.

Just got this motor, but I need it to be reversed. I tried pulling out the shaft, but it just won't come out? PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO REVERSE THE MOTOR!
 Napstr 692 points
Yeah I just got 2 and the shaft is a very tight fit! I did manage to remove them but it involved taking the circlip off - seperating the two parts of the motor and bashing the shaft with a hammer while having it supported by a tube allowing the shaft to go into the tube - need a small length of 3mm piano wire to get it all the way through - reverse the process to reassemble once you have cut a new slot for the circlip

Remove the c-clip and the grub screw. Don't loose the grub screw as you will need it later. Get a piece of wood about 3/4" thick with a hole big enough for the shaft to fit through. Place the motor and piece of wood in a vise. Gently, but firmly (bash? are you crazy?) tighten the vise causing the shaft to go through the hole in the piece of wood. Leave enough room on the new back side to slip on a 5/32" collar (DU-BRO Cat. No. 140). Use a file to make a flat spot on the back side shaft so th

I'm looking into buying this motor, but I'd like to know if the mounting holes will fit an E-Flight mount for Park 480 or Power 10 motors?

With gold turnigy motors you can undo grub screw, remove cir-clip and then "tap" shaft through, replace cir-clip, tighten grub screw, place mounting bracket on to the back of motor, then use a prop adaptor. Motor will now be "facing" correct direction.

I was wondering if I could reverse the shaft. Thanks for answering my question!
Dr. Katana  462 points - 6/6/2009

You can use back mount type setting.
Replace motor shaft like a "Turnigy AerodriveXp 35-36 SK Series Shaft" and C-Clip for no moving motor stator. target=_blank>Shaft, washer & C-Clip

15 thumbs up!
Good value for money. Fits nicely in Easy Glider Pro. Strong magnets, stronger then in XP series. Winding not perfect, and magnets were not glued at equal distance on entire circumference. If you buy this one, be sure to open it and QC before powering. -1 star for poor winding and magnets arrangement.

Hello!

Iam using this Motor in my Multiplex Easy Glider Pro, fit`s perfect. A lot of Power with an 10x6 Folding Prob, and low Amps. With an 3S 220mAh Lipo you can about 30min slowflying.....

put this motor in a gemini in place of the Turnigy 3536-1100. less weight and an higher kv. I tested it with a APC 11x5.5 but performance was less than with the 3536. So I changed the prop to a 12x6, max 34 A on my watt meter and outstanding performance. I doubt about the 1200 kv ??? I 'm not able to mesure it but for my opinion it's more like a 1050 à 1150 kv. The motor runs smoothly and flighttime with a 3s 2200 mah is about 10 min
