The recommended ESC is 10A. can I use higher ESCs instead of 10A??

higher escs will work without any problems! The motor is drawing about 9-10A. If you're using a 18A esc, it means that the esc is able to provide up to 18A. But the motor will only "use" 10A.

does anyone know if this motor will suit hk wind dragon 660mm(300 g) running 2s with 5/5 prop... stock motor is a d2710 with 5/3 prop cant find anywhere regards

I had the same problem. One source said they weren't made anymore. I found 3 possible replacements at HK. D282 6 2200, C20-2050, AXN 2208-2150. I opted for the AXN. In any case the mount had to be re worked to get the holes lined up.

does anyone know the dimensions of the mounting holes, specifically how far apart they are and their radii? Help will be appreciated as i need this data for CAD models for 3d printing

will the GWS propellors fit on this motor?

The shaft is the same as the Blue Wonder motor. I use GWS 8x4 props on this with a prop saver. The shaft does fit the propeller!!!

I use TP Slow Fly propeller 8x3.8 , done good performances.

On this engine use MAG8 TowerPro 12A ESC, Zippy Battery 11.1V 500 mA, no problem.

Very good motor for my Giles G-202 plane. Unlimited vertical, and torque roll with 3/4 trotle.
Flight weight - 250g. 2s LiPo 850ma. 10min flight time.

I used this motor to replace a 8.2 volt brushed motor on my Hobico Skylane and the difference is unbieveable. Even after losing the signal a crashing nose first the motor showed no ill effects. I plan to buy several more for other retrofits.

This has to be one of the best small motors around. I use it in a GWS slow flyer pico stick with a 7x4 prop and the plane is now capable of vertical flights as well as 3D stunts. Great product.

Great little motor. I use it with an 8 X 3.8 SF prop and the Hobbyking SS Series 8-10A ESC and a 750 MA Rhino 2 cell LIPO on an 8 ounce foamy. I t gets over 20 minutes of in the air time with some throttle management. Add epoxy or some strain relief to the wire as the exit the motor to keep them from breaking.
