This would be a good battery for Nine Eagles Solo Pro? Thanks!

I do not think this battery is suitable for Nine Eagles Solo Pro, the connector type is totally different, but if you manage to modify the connector then it should be OK.
I have ordered one and am going to try to adapt the connector for a Nine Eagles Solo, same connector type as the Pro version.
Hobby King, please shell this battery with Nine Eagles connector type too, you will find a lot of interested customers waiting for it.

Thank Carlos! I use my Solo Pro with other battery (Zippy 240mAh, single cell) too, but setting the CG very difficult. The CG only with the original battery is best. The CG is too low with another battery.

Any possibility that you will provide better battery for Blade mSR? I would like to buy something like 150mAh and 15C a I think I am not alone. Thanks

Yeahhh you're not alone....***Jason** let's get this battery made eh?? :)
Joe (0 points);
Wow, that's exactly why I came here today, to see if there was a larger capacity battery yet. Yes, something like 150mAH and 15C would be great. Also, it sounds like these current batteries just don't cut it with the new 4-Site.
Jason5001 (1123 points);
Boys, we have the 150mAh version coming in a couple of weeks. Because it's a little bigger we were able to get the capacity more stable as well. Just don't mark the pack with your fingernail, or it will drop 5mAh. :-)
skyboy (17 points) 11/17/2009
Are these things really that bad on a Blade Msr? I see people saying they get 5:00 compared to the stock 6:00+, but when you consider a stock battery is $7.49 vs $1.99. You can get 3 Flightmax's for less than the stock, so thats 15:00 to 6:00 and still a $1.52 saved.

maukabud (69 points);
Yep...problem is that the C rating is too low for the MsR. I started out getting 5+ mins with 8 batteries, now about two weeks of heavy rotation through the charger (charging at 1C and not flying to LVC) I am seeing my flight times going below 4mins on 6 of the 8 batts. Hard to not fly to LVC when the flight times are going down down down. I think HC needs to come out with a 150mah 15C batt comparable to the Eflite upgrade batt for the msR.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction on where I can purchase the appropriate leads to connect the battery to the speed controller or rx or do you make up your own?? any advice is greatfully accepted

These will work. Unfortunately, they only come in 5 packs, but the price won't kill you. Just cut off the end you don't need. ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9727

I'm entertaining myself checking how fast the stock dwindles. :D I think HK needs to develop a 15C/140 batt to power the MSR and other "next gen" micro flyers that need a bit more power/runtime.

do u think that this battery would work with the um p51
maukabud (69 points);
I honestly don't know if these would work w/ P-51... perhaps you should ask some Mustang drivers? I *can* say that I'm getting pretty solid 5min flight times on my Blade MsR, which is one of the highest drain aircraft in this battery class.
cjg flyer (3 points);
I ordered 8 of them. Work well in my PZ Cessna micro. However, motor pulses early on my PZ P-51. I hooked two in parallel and it works great on the P-51.
broncomech (0 points);
I had very ***r luck with these batteries in a UM P51. The C rating is too low, 15 seconds WOT fresh off of the charger and they hit soft cut off, the stock PZ battery is good for just over 2 min WOT same plane. They do produce 5 min flights in parallel but you would be better off using the 240mAh Zippy cells for the PZ P51.
p01rogue (1 points) 10/13/2009
Ordered 4 of these for MSR. Stock eflite gives 6 minutes prior to LVC kick in. Zippy only gives me 2-3 minutes and LVC kicks in. I've heard of others having more sucsess so I will order some more and report back. really hoping I just got a bad batch.

I have been flying my mSR with the these batteries that I purchased back it June and I was getting 5 minutes flight time.. I received my latest shippment and they are not any where as good as my old ones. I'm getting around 3 minutes of flight time with all seven of the new ones.. Get 7 minutes of flight with the E-Flite 14c and still 5 minutes using my first Flightmax 138's They seem to have lowered the quality of these just about to the point of being worthless at any price..
murx68 (3 points) 10/2/2009
As I read in several reviews, these cells do only have a capacity of 100mAh instead of labeled 138mAh. Is this confirmed by HC? I'm interested in using these cells with my Eflite msr. Thanks.

KEVIN (16 points);
From what I have seen on the forums, they have lower C rating and capacity, and the run time is barely over half that of the stock battery.

> Is this confirmed by HC?
Yes, it was partially confirmed by Jason three weeks ago. Since the original thread is deeply buried on the discussion of T2300-AA Turnigy 2300mah AA battery NiMH (True Capacity) and I cannot link directly there, I have just created a new thread on the forum to discuss it: ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3754
Look for thread 'About the 110mAh ZIPPY Flightmax "138mAh"' on Forum Home > Product Specific > Batteries & Chargers

I have three presently in rotation with one e-flite. I see no difference in performance or charge life, but I don't time it either. 5 minutes pretty well does in my attention span, anyway! Have four more on order, just wish they stocked them a little better since they sell out so fast.

Hi, I buy the equivalent e-flight 110mha batteries in Australia for $12-$15 EACH + postage. HC price for 4 of them (138mha) delivered to au is about $11us or about $13au. I am sure HC puts the . in the wrong place in ALL there prices. Now to all the people complaining about c ratings, postage etc, well i have the solution for you ! just send your batteries to ME, That way everybodys happy.
ov1006 (97 points) 9/3/2009
By the way, the real capacity is 110mAh and not 138mAh (tested on a JAMARA X-Peak 230 Bal).
All data measured over 15 units of two different production batches.
This deal is good enough to sell like cakes without this. :(

I just ordered some of these packs for the upcoming Blade mSR that I have pre-ordered. I just noticed that the packs it comes with are 14C. That means the E-Flite pack is capable of supplying 1.68A compared to the 1.38A the zippy pack is rated to. Are the ZIPPY Flightmax 138mAh 1S 10C packs going to be able to supply enough current? I guess I am asking if these packs are really only capable of delivering 10C still.
Burnaby (218 points) 8/20/2009
over 7k gone in several days.
SEALen (9 points) 8/18/2009
Man that was quick. From -2500 to +1500 to -360 in what? 5 hours? Hope they will be getting even more this time around so the stock will last more than a day.
Burnaby (218 points) 8/17/2009
That was quick, gone faster than freebies. Let's start the when will they be in stock question again?

I take it this would be fine with the E-flite MSR?
Works great in a minumum but not in the new e-flite blade msr. The MSR has a load of about 1.2 - 1.5A and 10C 138 mAh should be enough but it isn't. With the 120mAh e-flite lipo's flight duration is avarage of 5:30. These zippy's are 3:00 to 4:00. A lot less. The work and fit perfectly but they drop in voltage a lot more then the original e-flite lipo's. Better get 240 mAh 20C cells's and extension cables for connectors :)
Like other reviews, the capacity is more like 100mAh, giving 7 mins on the Blade MCX rather than 8mins on the standard pack

So far very dissapointing, 4min average flight time compared to 5:30 with the stock e-flight which were labeled 120mah but marked as 110 under the e-flight label.

Very good batteries. Just -1 star because they are wrong labeled 138mAh. I tested six of them and after cycled charging they are all within 99-105mAh. Still great value!

For the price they are OK but this batch V2 that was to be a minimum of 142mAh still doesn't last as long as a stock 120mAh.. But they are better than the batch before that I received in September.. I still think that the first ones I got back in June were the best ones as even with over 100 cycles on them they last longer than the V2 ones..
Great Battery though still is not the stated capacity.
Flight times on msr
Flightmax 138mah 5:38 Stock Eflite 120mah 6:08
30 seconds of flight is not worth the price difference so still is an awesome deal.

Not bad for the price but they could be a lot better. They get warmer at the end of flight than E-Flight or Lightning Power.

these batteries are over rated for flight time. they are about a minute less than the elflight and also iv had a couple that the plug breaks off but for the price you cant go wrong
Nice power, great price! There are not 100% of the 138mAh aviable (got 4 of them), but for this price the ~120mAh are great. Would buy them again

Great battery , but for kyosho use, you have to sand the connector a little bit, it can be a pain taking it out, but on performance wise, no problem, the lipo is a beast!!!
I am afraid, that discharge 10C (1, 38A) is possible for one half of capacity not more than 105 mAh) for maximum discharge 3V. But price level - excelent.
These batteries are unbelievable for the price. Exactly the same size as the Eflite batteries, no difference in power or flying time. I now have 20 Batteries charged and ready to go.
You've done it again HobbyKing, another class product.
great upgrade for use on the pz vaport and sukhoi. these packs are so cheap that I bought 5 and made a harness so that I can balance charge them with the turnigy charger.
Great batteries! I haven't checked the two that I got on my LCD charger, but I'm totally satisfied with them. They charge in 20 minutes on the MCX's charger, and the flight is even better than with the stock battery! Tons of fun, and at an astounding price. Don't think twice before ordering a bunch for continuous flying!

These batteries work great in my Vapor. The Parkzone battery gives 20 to 22 minute flights with the ability to loop only in the first 5 minutes. These batteries have enough power to loop the plane after 30 minutes and after 40 minutes of flight take less than 100 milamp to recharge. Great value. Will get a few more with next order.
Ich hab etliche dieser Akkus fr meinen Blade MSR geordert. Bis jetzt (haben schon viiiele Ladungen hinter sich) funktionieren noch alle. Einwandfrei fr diesen Preis!
