how long will this last in my rustler vxl and how fast???
   Danny (60%)
Should last upwards to half an hour , all depends on driving style , gear ratio and stuff like that.
   liteglow (43%)
depend on how you drive it, and what motor you use ! normally 10-15 maybe 20 minutes when taking it easy..
   mattio79 (78%)
it depends on gearing and terrain. if you use speed gearing on rough terrain it will probably last (conservatively) ~30 minutes. your motor and ESC will be very hot. if you use bashing gears on smooth terrain and don't constantly have it on full throttle, you will probably get in excess of 45 minutes. i am using these in a slash 4x4 right now and i am getting an average of 40 minutes with speed gears on smooth/rough suurfaces (80%/20% respectively)
   mattio79 (78%)
with stock gearing and about 50% WIT ( wide open throttle) you will get about 45 mins runtime on average.
   wirgej38 (72%)
on mine it lasted about 30 minutes and how fas you go depends on what your gearing is.
   matthew (63%)
a little faster that stock and a little longer run time the best part is the punch your rustler should be able to do wheelies on demand. i run these on a blitz the wheelies are from half to full throttle. its got a 4600kv ez run motor 23t pinion 85t spur.
   Carboi91 (55%)
In my VXL powered slash with the stock pinion/spur i get 38mph but it gets there insanely fast. With better gearing I bet i could go much faster. Wide open, it lasts about 20min but if you're not too hard you can get 30min out of it.
   SYEDCOMM (53%)
my testing at 9T motor brushless so fast for my mad truck and it about 50 minute for my truck 1/10 on motor 9T. It's the best value of money to buy it

hey guyz has anyone put one of these in a losi strick?
does it fit?
   mattio79 (78%)
you will have to measure the battery bay. if it is less than exactly 2" it will probably not fit. these are a PERFECT fit for the Slash 4x4. i know, i run them in mine daily.

I can not fit this battery into my Tamiya TL01 battery slot. Do you have any suggestion on how to fit it? To modify (cut) chassis or to tie it on top?
   cankut (63%)
i think we have to trim chassis or tie it somewhere because this battery pack is bigger than others.i have tamiya TT01 .I bought this battery pack 1 week ago but i am still waiting my batteries. What kind of connector do you use to connect these batteries to your TL01 ?
   hard (44%)
Put it on top.
   jared (72%)
what i did is i made a foam fitter so it would fit in my losi desert truck it holds it an protects it.

at what Amps they need to be charged
   Oyvind (44%)
I am charging these batteries with 7 amps (1,4C) it works out well, but would recommend 5 amps (1C) to be on the safe side.
   warmongoose66 (72%)
Thanks for the reply, I am new to this electric whats 1C
   nabuxan (60%)
1 C = capacity of battery = 5 Amps
2 C = 2x capacity of batery=10 Amps, etc
   mattio79 (78%)
you can safely charge them at 10A, but 5A is always safer. 90 minutes is not too long to wait for safety's sake.
   John (100%)
The charge rating on this pack is 2C, meaning it can be charged at up to 10 amps (mah rating divided by 1000 = C rating. In this case C=5amps so 2C would equal 10 amps).

i have 2 of these batts. when i charge them 1 batt will charge up to 8.4v and 5000mah but the other battwill gharge up to 8.4v but will only get up to 4600mah whats the problem? is it my charger(i maxx b6) or is it my batt. and what should i do? always balance charge and never over discharge, always use a lvc
   mattio79 (78%)
well, the explanation of a lower capacity is the possiblility of less discharge. if it is consistently less than 5000, then the pack is nearing the end of its life. if it is new, it is uneconomical to tryto get warranty returns, so just get a new one. should be good to go

When I charge these with an Accucel-8 150w charger. How do i balance them if the 3 cell port is 2 big. What do i need and where do i plug it in.
   Trevor (75%)
Accucel-8 does not have a two cell balance port. Only accucel-5 does.
   Trevor (75%)
Accucel-8 does not have a two cell balance port. Only accucel-5 does.
   mattio79 (78%)
put it in the 3 cell port, all the way to the right. if it doesn't go in very easy, shave off the left part of the top of the plug ( the arrow-shaped part that clips into the balancer. you should be good to go

which plug would i need to connect to a traxxas plug
   dennis (75%)
Cut off what it is shipped with and solder on the Traxxas female connector
   jbernard (75%)
WILL I NEED A LVC WITH THIS I WILL BE USEING THEM ON A STOCK 3906 e-MAXX (14.4V)
   dennis (75%)
Yes you will need either a LVC, monitor, or timmer. You do not want to over discharge a Lipo

I just ordered these for my emaxx 3905. Will they fit into the trays or will i have to do modifications? If so, what mods are required?
   akjohniv (40%)
If the 3905 is the same as the 3908 they'll fit. The sit above the trays somewhat but they strap in nice and snug.
   mattio79 (78%)
buy velcro cable ties super glue one to the side of the chassis, soft side in. then put the battery cable side out into the tray ( it won't fit all the way down, but don't worry. buy the extended battery hold downs that go to the truck.) put the strap into the hold down, twist one half turn, put the hold down in, and lay the strap onto itself.

ArcherX (72%)
What type of connector is that?
   Dean (70%)
4mm Bullet-Connector
   mattio79 (78%)
4mm bullet connector. male and female. if you want to use with a MMM, you will need to solder a set to the MMM. the beauty of these connectors is that Series wiring doesn't require a harness. just make sure that you observe polarity and solder the right connector onto the ESC.

Great batteries just as good as my NEU Super expensive lipos
   Oscar (72%)
So all I need is that ec3 traxxas adapter to use it on my Rustler right?
   mattio79 (78%)
i find them to be a little better, actually. i have had 2 sets, one made it through 250 HARD cycles, while the neus made it through ~200. Zippies made it through 90. Core-RC made it through 45. MAX**** made it through 15. SPC make it through about 130. SMC though 150. Trakpower through 180. Venom/Duratrax through 100.

I just ordered 3 2s 5.0 turnigy and hopfully they mislable the shipping order aswell and send me 4..... :) my 3s zippys are too powerfull so im going to tame my ERBE alittle.
   mattio79 (78%)
yep, running 4S is going to be a lot easier to control. you should attain 45-60 minutes of runtime with stock gearing. i ran 22/68 with my emaxx and it would go 46mph for about 55 minutes of fun.

Trevor (75%)
Will these batteries fit in a Slash, T4, or SC10?
   captain (65%)
i just got some i origanaly had zippys on order but didn't want to wait so i got a few of these instead
   red clay (63%)
They fit tight in a slash and SC10 just a little bit too wide for T4 and Rustler, you can dremel out tray to fit but the side walls will be very thin.
   mattio79 (78%)
Slash for sure, with a little modification to the side of the tray, you will have to dremel/melt a groove near the front corner of the tray on one side (i chose the right side to keep the label of the battery up) so that the cables will come out the side of the tray so the battery will rest all the way down in the tray.

It might be weird but apparently there has been a mistake done in the labelling of the first batch of Turnigy lipos. The labels show 15C/20C when in fact they are 20C/30C.

Here's a quote from the forum, the title of the thread is ''Turnigy battery label conundrum''

Quote:''We have not made it immediately obvious, however these labels are in fact incorrect and will be updated in the following shipments from the factory. The label should ready 20-30C!

How did this happen?
The cell manufacturer does not make a 15C formular. Though the hobbyking.com purchasing department requested it anyway. Not having a 15C formular the factory simply produced the 20-30C cell and labeled them 15-20C.''
   vito357si (93%)
Has any1 got there lipos yet are they the same as the zippy 2s 5000mah size and same power?
   Joseph (83%)
should have them in an hr or so will report.
   vito357si (93%)
thaxs Joseph let use know:)
   mattio79 (78%)
it was a temporary mislabel. all turnigy 5.0 are 20c
4/06/2009
usa98030 (86%)
Thats kind of wierd and they probably would have re done it and never sold these packs
   mattio79 (78%)
they sold them anyway, becaus eyou can run a 20c battery at 15c rate and it won't overdraw it. if you go the other way around you will damage the battery very quickly.
4/06/2009
mistercrash (91%)
Is it true that these 2S1P Turnigy lipos are mislabeled and are really 20C constant and 30C bursts?
   brushlessman (91%)
yes, they were mislabeled from the factory and are truely rated at 20-30c discharge.
they are great batterys!

Williamjsa (73%)
When you make a search with "2s battery less than 500mAh", this battery appears.

Probably, there is a mistake with database searching.
   warmongoose66 (72%)
Using the Turnigy charger ACCUCELL6 what is the recomended voltage for charging the lipo Turnigy 5.0 20-30 2S
   justiniousrowe (42%)
charge it on 7.4v (2s) and on 5 amps
