Equipped with a 25A brushless power system, this little 1/16 truck is both powerful and fast. Small and quiet enough to zap around the living room on a 2S LiPo pack, or adjust the suspension travel and take on tougher terrain at your local park or backyard. The TURNIGY Stadium truck is alot of fun with a plenty of performance features usually only available on larger trucks.

Hi there! What replacement motor will fit to the Beetle ? Also need a servo arm that fits.( using the ESC and the servo from the box) Can anyone advice!
I bought one of these cars 6 months ago. Recently I have noticed the car is a bit sluggish to get off the line. I also noticed the speed controller and the motor get so hot I can't touch them. Is this normal?
i've only had this car for a couple of weeks and the motor/esc are hot after run.i don't know to much about inrunner motors, but do know 2 things(there a few others) can cause this.1)motor and esc are working overtime 2)not enough air flow.esc/motor/ lipo's and prop selection are all connected when choosing a setup(planes)if you don't want anyone of these to burn,so what would be the difference with these in a car apart from pinions and spur gears and wheel size selection.now after all that said,if you haven't changed a thing in the last 6 months of running your beatle.i would be looking at friction points(damaged bearings etc)causing your motor/esc to work overtime, then be looking at the lipo's especially if they are hot to hold after run (warm is ok,hot isn't).it certainly sounds like what you are describing(friction =sluggish start).Michael, these are only opinions above that might help you in your troubleshooting so hopefully you don't go burning your motor or esc. goodluck :)
What would anyone reccon this thing weighs ready to drive? Ive been jonesing to stick one under a quadcopter to make a ground FPV vehicle that can do some airlift hops. *)
Did you guess that or did you do a quick measure? :p Just making sure, so I can order the right bit of kit to lift it all. Also, what 2200 pack did you use? Biggest I managed to ladle in was 1800mAh.
Hi, my original 25A ESC has the problem that it switches off already at about 7.5V voltage (cut off). Is it possible to adjust the tension with a programming card? with what?
you don't want it to tight and you don't want it too lose either. The stock setting is not bad I did tighten mine about a have turn to make it a little tighter then stock.Ask meeki he probly know about that more then me.
You need to contact Hobby king immediately, if the order has already been shipped then it's too late. Hobby king recommend that you phone them immediately if you wish to change an order.
You get what you pay for, don't expect any $70 car/buggy to be indestructible. If you choose a nitrorcx car bear in mind that nitrorcx is based in the US so delivery times will not be the same time frame for you. Of the 1/16 chassis that Hobby king offer this is the best one, it is not without its problems but if you work on it a little it is a good buggy. Do some research and look at what the majority of people are saying about a product and base your decision on that.
i have 2 of these beatles and all they do is break and then it takes up 2 to 3 months to get your parts..so now i only have 1 because i have been using the spare beatle for parts..you choice but be care full...nitrorcx has a great selection of 1/16 scale trucks and cars and they come as a rtr....ready to run...and als you get parts fast like in the same week you placed the order..
Any 2-3 channel radio will work, Hobby King GT-2, HK-310, HK-210, Turnigy GTX3 etc. All of these will work it will be personnel preference which one. Click on Radio's & Receivers then car radio's to get the complete list.
waiting for parts for almost 2 months, no body came back to me when they will be available. I bought parts for the common parts that will break, but every time is breaks, it's something different part.
This thing is great! good quality, nice oil filled shocks with decent travel, BRUSHLESS out of the box, this thing is fast. Yes it does go 40 km/h on a 2s. I tried a 3s but it really performs best on a 2s. With 3s lipo you will tear the tires off this thing doing doughnuts. Keep it for speed runs. Stock electronics are good so far, esc seems high quality, motor is 4811 KV. Downside is not waterproof but I put a plastic bag around the electronics for snow bashing and that works fine. Use better than 1050 mah 20c, this thing uses 20amps full throttle on grass. Brake works well, did a front flip with the break. Instead of popping wheelies it does 4 wheel burnouts, which, IMO is preferable but remember it is winter here :) Just get it you will not be dissappointed

I've just received the item. It's a great product. Build quality is quite nice. Only problem i can see (or hear) is the weird sound from the front differantials. I thinks it needs some oil.
I am using it with 2200 3s batteries. The batteries fit perfectly, you just need to unscrew one of the plastic holder.
I am using the antenna hole for wiring lights to the front. As 2.4ghz does not need a long antenna.
You just need to be careful with 3s batteries because when at even half throttle the car can flip. I've flipped 2 or 3 times with no damage.
Quite durable.
Thanks for this great cheap and fun item hobbyking.
Superb little car! Built very well and have not yet exhibited any flaws. I'm running it using GT2 radio and for battery I used a ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 2S1P 20C. Had no issues fitting - just had to bolt of 2 of the plastic parts in battery compartment for it to fit. Also taped a foam tape on battery to secure it with provided battery lock so it always stays in place. Runs forever with it and has a great punch. I suppose the Turnigy counterpart (2200mah) could be used with same success. Overall very happy with the car and its performance, totally recommended and cannot be beaten at this price!

This was a great fun little truck to play with. I shoe-horned a 2200mAh 3S into it and had a blast, however I dont think the ESC is rated to go that high, so I would suggest an 1800 or smaller 2S for a lighter, faster truck that will last alot longer. Don't be mistaken by it's size, this is a fast truck when set up right!
