F-15 Fighter R/C jet EPO Plug-n-Fly (AUS Warehouse)

An excellent parkflyer sized EDF jet (EPO).
The F-15(EPO) jet comes 95% pre-built and comes with a powerful 30A brushless EDF system and steerable nose wheel.
Because the F-15 is made from EPO, it is very resistant to breakage and will literally bounce in light crashes. The material is also easily repairable and quite flexible.

icant see what the problem is i have spent over 4,000 dollars with hobby king and never had aproblem with there planes flying maybe you should all go back to school and learn about modeling the people that design the aircrafts do fly the test models otherwise they would not manufacture them well done 3dimensional pro kamakaze from down under

How fast would this go on a 2200Mah 3s.. After all this talk about it being "really under powered"!????
 3Dimensional Pro 28 points
....Well no1 answered, i got it and flew it! it flies fine! not tooo slow and not to fast! :D

To whom it may concern:
1.The recommended battery (1800mah 11.1v 20C) will barely fly this jet. I tried a 2200mah 11.1 40C battery which is a little better but plan on being full throttle most of the time.

2. This, like most other 70mm sized edf jets should not be setup for 3s batteries! If you get into trouble you have very little power to get out of it!

3. I would not even consider running 4s battery on stock setup unless you replace the esc, and even then you must use extreme caution (throttle management) to not burn up the motor. The esc should not be rated to 30a as I fried it with about 25a.

4. A good solid setup for this jet is 3000kv, 3200kv, or 3700kv turnigy 28-36 motors with the hk 70mm 6 blade edf. Run a 4s 40c or higher 2200-3000mah battery.

yeah 70mm edfs need to be 2200 4s otherwise there just to underpowered

scottybr great work. As a buyer I thank you and wish I could do something for you.

It says 3S for the battery but I think this jet would absolutely hoon around on 4S... 3300KV sounds like it could take 4S anyway though might need to upgrade the ESC.

Weight is about 680g without TxRx/Lipo, so it's not the flying weight. see here a lot of discussions: www.link

This plane wont fly on 3s, I tried. I bought this exact plane from another company as a gift to my 78 year old father. He flew it with ease on 4s, for about 5 flights. Then the ESC burst into flames and consumed the entire aircraft. Its a very good airframe. But the motor and ESC defiantly need to be replaced. And loose the gear! This puppy hand launches with ease

I agree. Gut it, put in a 4s setup, cut in and add aileron and flap servos and this will fly great.

no link ok: search for the F-15 here from the HK warehouse: lots of comments

I had this plane... It looks great in the air, but it does not have enough power to fly. I went from 3S to 4S and no luck with the stock motors. If you are going to buy this plane I recommend cutting it open and inserting a nice EDF with a strong 4S motor. Also, if you can create a nice exhaust tube it would help. I loved seeing the plane’*s profile in the air. The plane requires a nice CG to be able to create the mods. If people work something out it should be posted on RCGROUP. There was one guy that created tailerons for it and they looked nice. I wonder if there is an instructional video on it?

Ok, it's not a rocket but it flys. I coupled the ailerons with the elevators for better rolls but that was it. With a decent battery it goes up, just not fast. Check the Video.

I bought this here a while back and it is a great jet. Yup, it could use more power but so does just about everything I fly. It does fly well stock but is a little slushy on rolls so I cut out the ailerons and coupled them with the existing elevons. Rolls much nicer and I didn't incur a real weight penalty. I may drop in a Warp 4 3 turn motor for giggles but for now it is a sweet thing to fly just before sunset (see my video). I gave it 5 stars for that reason alone.

OK. Feel free to shoot me down for posting a review before flying it but ;
1 - It goes together in only about 30 minutes.
2 - Wings and Tail Feathers fit better than any other model I've seen.
3 - It looks every bit as sweeeet as the picture above.
I suggest sanding a small chamfer to slightly point the ends of elevator carbon tubes to help line up and ease insertion in the fuz retaining collars.
4 crowns because it's EPS (not the more resilient EPO/EPP). The only upside of EPS is that when it comes out of the die it doesn't swell up so the parts fit together really well.
I'll add my opinion of it's flying performance here soon.
