Looking at 6 to 7 minutes to be on the safe side. Each cell should be left with 3.7 to 3.6 volts. I fly with 4s 3000 myself and that is what my flight times are.

Hi, I fly a quad (1.5kg) with theses battery and they are great for the job!
Current is between 16A (hover) to 30A (full speed). Have two battery with almost 20 flights each and for now they are still like new.
Will post some update when I hit 50 or 100 flight..

I have same kind of motor (2830 as well) but from a different brand. I will have some video from the inside view as I fly the quad on FPV, but nothing is on youtube yet, sorry.

this is good battery for fms trojan t-28 because that plan have 4S 2600mAh Li-Po it will increase fly time and other that is 3000x20=60000 mah and it 60a esc.please specify what is your esc in trojan t-28?

Yes! You can, I did in the durafly spitfire. However I prop'd it down (used a 9.5*7.5 instead of the stock 11*7) and you need to watch those full throttle bursts! Buy a watt-meter or just test it on the ground see how hot the motor gets. ALSO IMPORTANT is your ESC if it is rated to handle 4s. Hope this helps, credit me if it did!

I've just switched from 3s to 4s as the take off and performance with the 3s was rubbish, it made a big difference.

Before going to 4s I put 2 3s batteries in series, the plane took off like a rocket.

As admtech says, make sure that your esc is up to it.

Generally the C rating makes very little difference to the battery dimensions. However if there is an increase the mAh delivery then the battery size will increase and vice versa if the mAh decreases so will the pack size. Hope this helps.

Today I've received 2 x Turnigy High Discharge LIPO, marked 3000 mAH, 4 cell (4S), 20-30C. They measure 148 mm x 45 mm x 23 mm.

i'd not recommend it. I tried this with a 4S with one cell dead. it really went hot and i brought it outside just for case of exploding....( well - it did not, but there was real fear ). The automatic charger needs minimum approx 2,5 Volt/cell to recognize the size of the pack.

Hello, it is better to buy new battery. If you will try to recsuce it it can be very dangerous with no efect. Somebody charge it on NIMH program and after that on Lipol program. I do not recommned this, hobbyking has so good prices - buy a new battery.

It is recommended not to allow a cell to go below 3volts and unfortunately balancing chargers will not accept a battery if the voltage is as low as 2.35. Having said this there are some methods to recover a battery at this state which to say the least are very dangerous and not recommended. However if you have a charger without a balancer then you could start charging at say .1c for a short period. I have known some individuals to charge using the NiMH setting at a trickle charge until the cell makes 3volts. Either way the battery will never recover to it's orignal holding capacity. By this I mean you will be able to charge and balance the battery but it will not hold it's charge well so flight times will be shorter.
I must add that if it where me I would buy another and safety discard the damaged LIPO as I don't advocate or support the above methods.

I use in my thesis Ariane 3m wingspan 2900 g. With a 700kv Turnigy 4250, 45amp ESC and 13x6 prop. Verticle till u Can not see it and 25 minutes flights. Of course the flight times are not all the time with a full gas. I like the fact that no problems as long as I can fly. Hobbyking thank you for this product. vilnis

It's probably below the minimum voltage level that the individual cell monitoring circuit will operate on. You might be successful if you leave the cell monitoring connector disconnected & charge it at 0.5A for about 30 seconds or so. Monitoring & balancing mode is not that necessary when the charge level is very low. You can charge it for a short time to get the charge voltage up to an operational level for the monitor circuit to accept it, then stop the charge momentarily, connect the monitor

Charge the lipo a little as Nimh until is get more voltage and then change it back to lipo. Dont leave the charger/battery unattended never and always watch the temp. As Nimh charge does not have a limit it will charge your Lipo until it explodes, so do it at your own risk.

I have ordered many Turnigy batteries and all but one have and are providing excellant service. I still have a Turnigy battery that is still strong after three sesons of flying. I think you have been unlucky or you need to discharge battery to 'store' charge and re-balance/charge. It is also important to accept that all LIPO's have a shortish lifespan and are usually on good for a recommended 50 charges. However if you charge at 1c and treat with respect i.e. don't flatten the battery with each flight and fly around the sky at full throttle all the time, LIPO's will give you a good life expectancy. Apologise if I'm preaching of causing you to suck eggs.

I think u got unlucky and got the ****py one,...I have 5 of this battery and flying on my 1.4M FMS warbirds...5 mins flying time so far no problem, am thinking of getting more,..once Hobby King caught up with their orders!

mine had 2 female connectors also so you'll have to use 2 males 4mm from your esc unless you change it yourself

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago and cycled it 5 times at 7c before really using it in one of my planes. Flew for a few minutes and landed. In the charger, the battery showed only 20% left and put only 1600mah...did a few more tests in the ground with a whattmeter and the same. I consume 1000mahs and connect it to the charger and shows 50% and puts around 1000mah back. Done this more than 5 times already. I thought I got a bad battery so I ordered another one. Received today, to my surprise the same thing is happening...any advice? when do these reach full capacity? or are they over rating the capacity?

turnigy in spain is the most known brand of batteries becouse of the well done work in the factory.The batteries are the most powerfull and balanced .thanks to turnigy and hobbyking to be possible. Im a spanish 1:8 tt e driver and I was 3 in the spanish national championship with turnigy.
