Hi sebdel,
I changed the timing to high (there are 4 possible settings) in my ESC (this one: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8993)
[Edit] Runtime is approx 30 minutes with one battery. [/Edit]

Last weekend I broke his neck too... there was enough material left to keep the head on the shoulders but he was looking around too much due to the vibrations, even to the back. Fixed this with a piece of cloth around his neck like a scarf (? in german: der Schal).

Ich mach Hessen mit dem Motorrad untersicher... Smile

Hi todda,

after the puppy broke his leg, he also lost his arm, which I've fixed in the same way like his leg and after that he/she lost his head :D
Know the puppy has also 2 Screws in his head. The ARx Puppy material is much better/flexible. but for $10 I'm not complaining. Quality still has it's price.

I tested the current with the eagle tree elogger v3. I'm having the nitro ARx Bike too, so I know how to build this thing. I would say the rear wheel spins normally. Haven't changed the standard Timing of the ESC so far. Have you?

Sehe gerade du kommst aus Deutschland, woher denn? :-)

Hi,
my setup is the same.
36-60-08L (3000KV), 100A Car ESC and 13T pinion.
My setup peaks to 75A (tested with watt's-up). Are you sure your rear wheel is running OK? 110A sounds a bit too high...
What timing are you using with your ESC? Maybe you could try with other timings and find the lowest peak.

My setup is pretty fast too, too much for the place where I drive. I think I should try 11T and I'm still waiting for my king to stock some... Wink

P.S: I broke my drivers knee the other day and fixed it with a cable tie. Was the easiest way to fix it... Smile

Did another run today. The high end speed with this config is incedible. I would guess about 50-60km/h. Ideal for a onroad track, probably to fast for offroad use but good to have the power ;)

The mechnical gyro stopped working today. The planetary gears were scrubbing the plastic disc plate. Shimed it correctly and it worked again.
Driving without the gyro is quite hard, but the bike wheelies each time I pulled the throttle => conclusion: the mechanical gyro really eats power.
So for power freak => use a electric gyro.

Also broke the puppy today (right legt fell of after a high sider) => put a long 4mm Screw across the puppy (from leg to leg). Let's see how it works.

Also my main shaft bent today (a little), was expected. Will replace it with the harder ones.

Forgot to tell. The motor may not be even 1mm longer => it's a really tight fit, but it fits somehow. Have to try a little bit.

Well, since nobody seems to have made other setup test, I'll post mine ...

First of all the stock motor died after about 10-15 Minutes work with a lot of white smoke ...
Read before that this happened to other QRF400 driver. The engine blocked when giving full throttle instantly => so this motor really is crap. Don't even put in in ...

@HobbyKing/Quanum
Better ship the bike wihtout any motor then with this crappy thing => the customers won't be disappointed and the value still would be very good!

Today my motor died I got a package from HK with this motor :-)

KD36-60-08L 3000kv Brushless Inrunner Part No.: KD36-60-08L

Tested it with a 13T Pinion.

Bike goes very well (smoth) with this combo and will wheelie. The current is a little to high (Peaks of aprox. 110 Amps). Will have to find another pinion (10T or 11T) and the current should be better for the esc, motor and lipo. Will of course reduce the high speed a little but acceleration will increase which is better I think.

I'm using a 100amp esc. The stock motor seems to work fine, but which one can I use to give this bike maximum power?
