To use the Tx you need to have each servo on a different channel, say 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 - doesn't matter as long as you are not using them for something else (I'm not familiar wiith the plane you are using).

You need to select a switch or pot that you wish to use to operate the flaps. You need to allocate the switch or pot to one of the two flap channels. Then mix the two channels at 100%, reversing one if necessary.

ATM I don't have a working 9x with the default firmware as I'm trying out ER9X so I can't post screenshots of the menus you need to use unfortunately, maybe someone else can help with that.

The link is active its just that your browser, like mine, won't let you access it for some reason (I think that's the problem). This always happens to me with this forum for posted links. I copy and paste the link into a new browser page and it works.
