Does anyone know what the extra wires are for on this esc? It has two sets of radio wires and a small thin black(negative) wire that has a fuse or something shrink wraped on it.
The manual says nothing about any of these wires. I dont want to hook up anything til I find out....real nice instructions!

Are the radio wires the same lenght? One is for the RX and the other one to connect to the Program card when you prgram it. Like this you don't have to disconnect from the RX when you program the ESC.
The thin black wire, I am not sure of, could be the Hal sensor wire for sensored motors? Edited by Mustang Sally - 30/May/2009 at 7:46am |

Hello. It have one extra radio wire, mabye for programming card. This small black cable you can cut (propably it's a resistor for provisoric BEC????) and esc runs good without it.

The small black wire with the "fuse" is used to ellminate giant spark when connecting lipo. saves the electronics, and the power plugs.
You should solder half of the wire to lipos negative wire (black one) with a small 1-2mm bullit plug. First you connect the + batt to esc, and then connect the little black wire with the fuse between esc negative - and lipo negative - wait for 2-3sek and then connect lipo negative power plug to esc negative power plug, and then you can unplug the little black wire. (make sure that you dont short circuit anything, so put a isolated plug on each ends)
