Is it possible to replace my HK600's swash plate with the unit from Align? I purchased a couple of Align Main Shaft Bearings but they appear to be wider than the HK versions and won't fit between the body halves. So, I'm wondering if the balls on the Align Swash won't be too far apart also.
Thanks in advance everyone. |

I was always led to believe that 99% of parts were interchangable .BTW do you mean main shaft bearing holders, not bearings themselves.
If you download the align manual it gives all the bearing sizes and you can check those against HK ones. Apologies if you know all this already. |

I must remember .... when inverted .... down is up and up is down .

I discovered my problem. I purchased the wrong damn parts!!
The Align bearing blocks I bought are intended for the nitro version not electric, and are therefore wider than needed. Anybody need a new set of N bearing blocks ? |

Hate it when that heppens... The Align swash definitely fits, I have one on mine as one of the balls in the hk swash on mine came prestripped and turned freely in its hole, (the one that rides the anti-rotation bracket)

Thanks Kev.
I've solved that problem with a pair of the correct bearing blocks, now I'm off on another problem. I've installed an Align DFC Flybarless head on my HK600 and it looks spectacular. Unfortunately, the HK anti-rotation bracket is a tiny bit too tall. When I spin the head with my fingers, the head just barely touches the anti-rotation bracket when it passes. Looks like I'll have to find a replacement, or shorten the HK version. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance Mark |

You may be able to shorten it, some careful dremmeling perhaps? I put the rjx fbl head on mine and it works fine with the stock anti-rotation bracket... Trying out the ZYX fbl system recently and its pretty impressive for the price....

Thanks again Kev;
I solved the whole problem by drilling two new holes in the CF upright portion of the anti-rotation bracket thereby lowering it by 1/8 inch. This was enough to permit free rotation of my new Align DFC setup with the new shortened shaft. Thanks again DillsburgMark |
