I want to organise a simulator. I have a HK T6A V2 Tx. I gather it's simulator-compatible. However I am not sure what I need to buy to get it up and running. I see cables, cables and software (some shown in the description and some not!) and then a kit that looks like a dummy Tx with cables.
Reading around I get the feeling I not only do not know what I want, but which sort. I also see that there is a huge choice in software/price and some stuff that needs doing for some of it to get it running on Win 7 So any help would really be appreciated. I would like to get set up and start learning. Thanks Nick |

I'm not sure what you're asking, but almost all simulators use the trainer port in the transmitter to connect via a USB dongle to the computer (some others do require extra software which is usually available free if you look for it online)

I am not sure what I am asking either. Noob
I realise that the Tx connects using a cable...etc...(???) and that there is free software. But ....read my post...so many options and everybody talking about them. NO. I DO KNOW WHAT I AM ASKING. I have a Tx that I named. What do I need to let me use it as a trainer on a PC? |

You need the dongle to allow you to connect the trainer port to the PC for a start.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=20964 You may need the software to go with it or there are various free simulators if you search for them (or you can check for .torrent files) |

Generally, all you need to connect your tx to the pc and have it function correctly, is, a flight simulator already installed on your computer. Then there's the matter of configuring the tx controls on the sim. There are tons of simulators out there($$$), while there are some that are very good, and free!!! I started out using, FMS flight sim and then found RcDeskPilot, which was way more realistic,(minus the photoramic scenery downloads). So I suggest, rcdeskpilot.com and download that sim, plus there are tons of different aircraft that you can also download for it.

Thanks all for the guidance. IT seems more simple than it looked
I will organise a cable first and see what happens. I do want to learn and fly, but I can wait. |

There is an MS fix which will fix the 'unsigned driver' message after you have it installed. Look here:
