hmmm...what has happened is that the drivers for this USB dongle did NOT come with the unit. IT has heaps of sim software but no drivers that I can see. So its only driver ATM is what XP installed automatically. HK do not have any driver files for this.
This is just stupid. |

It works! It had a little switch on the side that changes from one sim to another. RCDP is the same as Areofly pro.
So I have Tx control. It's quite hard after using the KB. With the KB, you peck at a key, then worry about the other one (say aeleron then elevator) so at first you use the aeleron the forget to centre it as you use elevator. |

Way to go, Nick! :D We knew you'd eventually get it done! Have tons of fun with RCDP, buddy and remember....the more you practice, practice practice, the better and more confident you'll be when you take your actual plane out to maiden. Also, if you're into sailplanes, then go check out the Homepage at rcdeskpilot and go down to User Created Aircraft and have a gander at some of the Parkzone Radians files there. Happy Flying!

I just don't like the way I had to pretty much stumble into this.
Anyhoo.....I went back last evening to have another go and all the controls are messed up. Some don't work, others are reversed and others have mixed together on channels etc. This was in RCDP only. I tried one of the supplied sim programmes and that was ok! RCDP worked fine and then it didn't. I like RCDP because it has the 1400 plane that is very like the one I have. |

I am not sure what is happening. How do I set the channels that the T is using? In RCDP, if I turn the Tx off and on, all the controls are screwed: rudder become throttle, aelerons are aelerons, elevator is rudder. The channels they are using look wrong too. then I try again and aelerons are rudder.......or the elevator is both rudder and elevator.
I can reconfigure by setting to default in the cable programme, but next time i9t's all wrong again |

You first have to calibrate your tx in RCDP. Go to, Menu, Controls and in top box under, Controll Settings controller, you should see, PPM. Across to the right of that, you should see, Calibrate. Click on that and in the next box, click on Properties and follow the instructions to calibrate your tx for use with the sim. Once you're done with calibrating your tx, close that box and go back to the Controls panel of the sim and assign the proper channels to the tx. To do that, all you'll need to do, is move the sticks, one at a time and watch which channel they're controlling in the box to the right with the numbered sliders, then you'd go to the left of those and assign that channel for that stick. Simple! :)

Thanks for sticking with this.
Yeah I have done all that you said, way back, but every time I fire up RCDP, they are all screwed up again. I have to recalibrate and reassign channels, or one or the other, to (usually) get the thing right. Should elevator go to CH6, for instance? I even get stuff allocated to Ch7, on a 6ch Tx! This is not just the assigned channels that I set, but the channel sliders that move when I move controls. And the extra channels (gear etc switches), or at least the pots associated with them, get mixed in with other controls, (maybe elevator or other), if not at random, then certainly in no pattern that I can see.
All this time Aerofly (I think it's called) that comes bundled with the cable, works fine. This cable has a switch on the side that sets it up for 4 different sims. I am wondering if it _only_ works with those sims, for some crazy reason. |

That may just be, Nick. Even so, if it is, seems like you may have to keep assigning the channels for it whenever you choose to use it with RCDP.
