So many negative reviews about the cam gear on this engine stripping in flight. Did they fix the problem? I want to use this engine on a J-3 Cub I am building right now.
Alejandro te recomiendo que para el procesó* de desajuste utilizes una APC 13x9. De esta manera el pistó*n se desajustara mucho má*s eficientemente y por lo tanto tendra un rendimiento del uso de combustible mucho mas alto* tambié*n esto le permitira al pistó*n subir hasta el tope de la camisa del cilindro asi creando un verdadero y eficaz desajuste desde el fondo hasta la parte extrema superior.
......Una vez completes el " break in process" podras utilizar una helice 14x8 0 15x8 y veras que el motorte dará* mejor rendimiento de conbustible y unas 200-300 revoluciones mas de lo que te hubiese dado si utilizas una hé*lice mas grande para el desajuste. Suerte, yo aprendí* a la mala compre 2 de é*stos motores.
Geee, I WISH hobbyking carries the FS80AR soon! All 46 ARFs need 80 sized 4 strokes but hobbyking doesn't have them, magnum don't have em either but they do exist, **********s sells them but they're always out.
Yup.HK has a big void in their 4 stroke line up.It jumps from a .61 all the way up to a .91 four stroke with nothing in between.Like you say,nothing available to choose from for all those 46 size aircraft out there.I've been beating this drum for ages it seems to try and get HK to see the light and start carrying the ASP .70 and .80 four stroke in their line up as well.If you want change guy's,start making some noise.Squeaky wheel always gets the grease.
Does anybody know if the problem with the internal gears has been fixed on these engines? The reason I ask is because I seen the reviews and a lot of people complains about the metal not being heat treated thus causing the teeth in the pinions to break very easily. Please let me know because I need to buy 2 1.20 four cycle engines but before I order them I want to make sure they corrected the problem.
Does anyone have the physical dimensions of this engine? I would like to make sure that it will fit into the plane I am thinking about installing it into.

There are very few brands that come with plugs. OS I think still does. This one does not. Also Hobby King does not sell them. I have asked Hobby King and they said the will try and add the to there stock SOON.
Remi you are best to place an order and just wait. This is what I did, the item never made it ve stock level for more than a few minutes. If you want one. Back order it and wait. It took about 4-6weeks before it came and they shipped it.

Agree with all of you. Seems HK has good prices, but bad material planning. Many items in back order all the time. HK please consider more investments $$$ in good material planning & inventory
I have three of these engines, 2 ASP and 1 Magnum, same motors, all perform as good as other brand four strokes, all in 100 inch plus high and low wing models, can perform 3d no problems. Nothing wrong with these engines. Well worth the dollars spent. Runs on 17pcnt coolpower, 5pcnt nitro and 78pcnt meth. 17x6 and 18x8 props. 12 minute flights. VERY HAPPY WITH MOTOR>
