Is the weight right? This one is heavier than the higher diameter and higher kv-rating "Turnigy 2810 EDF Outrunner 3600kv for 55/64mm". If they are both for 3s, one must be wrong because they are for the same size of fan.
My set resonates somewhere between 200-270g of thrust where light rubbing of the fan and case occurs. With that said the motor is smooth and remarkably quiet. This is quite a low current setup probably more suited for lighter 300g-400g AUW planes.
put this on a 7 blade 64mm fan only made 270 grams of thrust on 11 volt lipo maybe it will do better on a 68mm fan because 270 grams isnt going to hardly move a 64mm jet

I'm using this motor in the Phase-3 Fantom/Phase-3 F-16 55mm three-blade fan unit on 4-cell 1750-2200 lipo, draws about 35 amps at full throttle and nice power upgrade for the original KMS 20mm inrunner motor. Also using on GWS F-15 on 4-cell 1750 and it works quite well. Will fly Phase 3 EDF Fantom on 3-cells as well, but performance is less.
Tried the 2810 motor first on the Fantom, but it burnt the windings on a 4-cell flight.
Great replacement for the orginal KMS 5100 KV inrunner motor if you want to fly on 4-cells instead of 3. One third the cost of the original motor.
This motor will power my new Babycat (Flycat) model with Tgs 4.75x4.75 prop, 25A ESC and 2S 1800mAh lipo cells.
In that configuration motor draws around 17A and produces 125W. More than enough power for small Babycat (800mm wingspan). With Tgs 5x5 prop you get 19A or 150W...
Motor is well made and came with 3mm shaft. Included are also another 3mm shaft and 2,3mm!
Only cons that I found is that there is no e-ring on the shaft. Most outrunners have e-ring or collar with grub screw, which fixes the rotor.
