More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Suited to the following models: ALIGN T-REX450, E-flite Blade 450 3D, BEAM E4, MSH Protos Mini, Furion 450, ThunderTiger E325/Mini Titan SE.
* The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly. Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries; -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
Yes you can use this with your 9xr. The 9xr looks for a battery of 3S with 2200mAh which this is. The only difference between this and the actual 9xr battery is the 9xr battery has some type of internal protection to protect the radio, so essentially I believe it shuts down before voltage gets too low, but you can set voltage alarms on the 9xr to prevent that. I use these lipos with my 9xr and it works fine
Hi Michael, Yeah, they're great packs. The bonus is that this LiPo is almost always available for a little over $10 with a buddy code. The best site for finding the codes is "hk.rc-international.info/swarm" and if you do a search within the site for "2200mah" you'll see this LiPo. Just click on it and it'll drop into your cart on the HK site. You're limited to buying no more than 3 at a time. Cheers, EA
stupid sing post services... bought 2 of these a month ago and still waiting for them.. hobbyking did a real good job of shipping them the day after I bought them but I think they should use another transporter than singpost... it never been so long with swissair.
Hi freakqc, Are you not able to purchase from HobbyKing's US warehouse? It would make things go a lot quicker. I had the opposite problem, with SwissAir taking twice as long as SingPost because the item had to go to Europe before coming all the way back to Australia. Patience is a virtue! Cheers, EA!
Hi freakqc, What a pain to know you have a warehouse so close but HK can't figure out how to write up the invoice with the same low values they put on their invoices from the international warehouse. Cheers, EA!
Hi Isaac, If your charger only requires you to plug in the JST-XH balance plug (white one w/4 wires) then you can definitely charge this battery the same way you would any other LiPo. If you have to connect both leads from the battery to your charger you will need the correct adapter cable. Go to the "Chargers & accessories" menu above left and select "charge leads" from the sub-menu. You should find the correct adapter lead in there. Cheers, EA!
would this battery be good for powering STCR351305(with UBEC) and powering tx with cam(350000001)? and how long do you thing it will work tx cam / rx ? Thank you
I see.
Well yeah its out in the field, at home i charge them with normal charge 2.2A and every 4th or so balanced.
But out in the field i will have down time if i do that, since its almost 50min to charge normally with 2.2A.
So i charged with 4A today when i was out flying and worked like a charm, then i did about 20-25min flytime with the stock bixler 2 and a charge took about 30min. So with 3 batteries im ok :)
Im guessing it should be ok to charge with 4A since thats under 2C and the nano's being marked as max 5c. So between 4 and 5A should be ok im guessing
Hi Daniel, The big advantage of the nano-tech line of LiPos is the max 5C safe charge rate .... "safe" being the critical term. Most LiPos are at risk of being damaged if charged at higher than 1C. Push them too hard and a damaged LiPo is the least of your worries, as the battery could go exothermal and cause a fire. You've gotten good advaice from Steeve and Mike. With the nanot-techs, you should limit your fast charging sessions to those times when there is a real benefit (i.e. at the flying field) but charge them at <2C at home just to be sure you're not shortening their useful life. Cheers, EA!
you can but it is not recommended, personally I will never charge over 1c=2.2a. If you are at the field then 4A will be justifiable but at home use lipo balance mode at 2.2A, 3s(11.1v). I have heard of normal turnigy lipos (2200mah 20c 3s) exploding abnormally at 2c=4.4amps.
The weight on the description is for shipping.. Obviously they have to add a little bit of weight for the little boxes they're in when they ship it off. All items usually weigh less than shown in the desc. Hope this helps..
hmm.. well, might not apply to all cases. In the end, with that little difference to the given weigh description, it doesn't guarantee the pack is bad. Still the best way to verify this is to check it yourself.. If it's all balanced and the capacity is right, then you're good to go :) ~Cheers
I have had over 25 cycles on both batteries without any problems, I think these batteries are lighter than standard 2200 may lipos because these are nanos
When wiring batteries in parallel or series you must use the make and type of cells, also best to use batteries that are similiar in age or number of cycles, not good to use a battery that has had a lot of cycles and put it with a new battery
Here 25 means the constant current of 25xc can be drawn out, and momentarily upto 10 sec a current of 50Xc can be drawn out. Using the battery under this limit will ensure proper battery life and safety of your model and your self. Enjoy.
Ok, so if I have a 25-50C battery and am only taking 11C out of it thats perfectly fine for the battery right? Just trying to help nut-out why my battery pack looked slightly swolen a couple days ago. maybe it was just the heat...
you can use 8*AA, or ZIPPY Flightmax 2500mAh Transmitter Pack (Futaba/JR), also Turnigy 2650mAh 3S 1C LLF Tx Pack (Futaba/JR) and HobbyKing 1500mAH LiFe 3S 9.9v Transmitter pack and Rhino 2620mAh 3S 11.1v Low-Discharge Transmitter Lipoly Pack. the choice is yours :)
Hi Ellis, This is a great choice for the Corsair. It's the standard size/shape for a 2200mah/3S. Best of all, you can get them for under $11 with a buddy code. Just go to "*******hk.rc-international.info/swarm" and type "2200mah" into the Search box. You'll see them for $10.27. Cheers, EA!
Hi Ellis, HK censored part of the website address, but if you copy/paste "hk.rc-international.info/swarm" into the address bar the website will load. Cheers, EA!
Do i need a specific charger lead and which one? (I have an Onyx 230 charger and an Equinox Lipo cell balancer (2 to 5 cells))
I just want to know if there is a way to buy only the balancer lead if i need to and which one? i already have 2 3c lead, is there a chance any of these works or this one has a special connector?
Hi CHarles, with how many cels can your balancer work ?
normaly, you conect your charger together with your balancer. On the battery you have two different leads, take the led with the white connector - and put in your balancer, change the mode on your charger to -CHARGE. That´s it. but it is easier to use a second charger, show this one = www.link price, best function. fast charging .
Buy at many sites in China and they entyregam with free shipping, because here in HK shipping is so expensive?!
It is an illusion to buy the warehouse here in Brazil!

At the same time I ordered this battery,I ordered also other various Lipo. Among other 11.1 V Lipo 1400mAh, however, 15C Constant / 25C Burst. And it works perfectly. So do the others. Charger charges of 1.5 V per cell. My weapon is upgraded with a more powerful engine and internal parts so the gearbox can handle 11.1V. While fuse is intact. The weapon work like it should and I was in a game last Sunday, when I tested all batteries. And it was only these two that do not work. Dean connector is fitted correctly.
Do you have a battery tester? if not then buy one. I found that they seem to self discharge quite quickly and don't like cold weather. But under the right circumstances they kick *ss :)
Hello!
I bought this battery just to try it out ,actully 2 of them, to my airsoft gun, A&K M249. Changed the XT60 to deans. When I tested them in my rifle so they did not work? Why? I uploaded them with the right charger for Lipo and measured the battery to 13V, I plug in Lipo warner but still it does not work. Why?
13V is too high. A lipo charger should not charge it more than 4.20V/cell or 12.60V for this 3S.
If 9.6V is max like mike said, then maybe you killed the motor or speed control.
Hi Konstantinos, Nano-tech LiPos are no different than ordinary LiPos when it comes to charging, except that they can be charged at a higher rate than the usual 1C for LiPos. The ACC6 will do a great job on these. It's one of the two chargers I use on these LiPos and I've never had a problem. Cheers, EA!
This Battery can be charged with any high quality Battery charger that is capable of charging LIPO batteries. Hobby King has a good Battery charger that will handle your needs. Need to make sure that the charger is a balance charger. I highly recommend that you balance these Batteries everytime you charge them, to keep the cells in sync., with each other. Hobby King has a good support group, that can also answer any questions that you may have.
Just AWESOME performance. I am using this battery on my 28 inch Mig-29 Foamy. Plenty of power. Using it wil 30 Amps ESC. Works great. Battery does not even get warm @30 amps discharge. good value for money and worth a buy. I can charge this at 10 amps using my icharger. get full in less than 15 mins. Great battery at a great price.
Internal Resistance 16 / 13 / 14 miliOhm per cell. This corresponds to cca 12C battery - 27 A continuous. Cheapest Turnigy 20C has better performance

Everybody wait a minute. This battery is 16mm LONGER than the ones we are all using. It won't even fit in a Typhoon and will change the center of gravity on all Parkzone planes. Anyone who has used this with Parkzone, does it work? Any mods needed? I also can not believe 15C charge rates listed, think it is a misprint, should be 5C. I bet these are rebranded Hyperions or something.

Well come to think of it, it may actually be a benefit in the Parkzone Trojan. Since that bird is nose heavy, this longer battery might get a little weight farther back.
