More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots! Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!Spec.Capacity: 4500mAhVoltage: 3S1P / 3 Cell / 11.1VDischarge: 25C Constant / 50C BurstWeight: 361g (including wire, plug & case)Dimensions: 169x49x23mmBalance Plug: JST-XHDischarge Plug: 4mm bullet-connector *The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. 1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries.Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degCThickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

Definitely not. Maybe if you ran two in parallel it would be quite stressed if you planned to have 'fun' with this setup.
Your motor/esc combo there pulls up to 56A (A meaning Amps) Continuously and up to 68A during a burst This battery pack only handles 35A continuously and 50A burst (a burst being defined as around 20seconds). I would suggest pretty much any of the turnigy A-Spec 65C packs to be more than adequate for this. There is a 3S 4500mAh designed for boats! perfect :o) www.link
4.5 amp x 25c continuous discharge = 112.5 amp. 4.5 amp x 50c burst rate = 125 amp. I use this battery on a quadcopter with 4x ntm 2826 my top draw was 70 amps tied to a bench for the full capacity of the battery and it didn't even get warm.
these banana style batterys arnt male of female as 1 side is male (red ) and the other side is male (black -) so you must check your ECS and make sure its reversed i.e the red wire on ESC must be the female side if you have the male side of the bettery conector on the red wire
so, after 3 months of shipping, 3 packs arrived. All 3,78 per cell. But all have some signs of inflation on one side (white, with connector). One have that side really soft. Is that normal? I've never noticed it on new packs.
So, I had consultation with friend which have more experiences with lipol and he said that it is normal, so I will trust him. I can't wait to give them some serious load. Cables are nice and soft, I only hate that HXT connector.
It's probably just air or the packaging is just stiff so it won't settle there that well. If you press from somewhere else you should feel the hard lipo cell.
This is rated for 4,5A*25 = 112,5A constant current. Your quad have maximum current 4*18A = 72A (You probably won't reach that maximum, rather 50A). So there is at least reserve 36%. I think it's safe.
Behind my battery there is a warnig: Max charge 5C,but i recomend 1C for longest bateri life, and if you are in a hurry a recomend 2C, but as i say, with 1C your bateri will last much longer.
these charg at higher rate than regular lipo,i heard all the way to 5c and takes about 20min but you do risk damage to the lipo but i havent heard any such story as of yet ((((((please use caution this can be very dangerous to eyes also))))))))
the most inportant thing by charging the battery is the balance of the cells, iff that,s good the charging can be higher but don,t go to the max c rate becauce the life of the battery decreases. I charge on the balance function of my imax b6 machine
You can charge it maximum 5c that makes 22A if you have that kind of powerful charger of course :) However for your battery's longlife you should charge it with 1c
They would work fairly well in the E-Revo. I'd recommend going with the Turnigy or Flightmax 5000mAh packs for better run times, but it's not going to be that much of a difference with at only 500mAh delta.
Hi, this batteries work fine with the brushless E-maxx, which is virtually the same thing. But be sure 2 measure your battery compartments if you don't want 2 make mods.In other words, check the battery specs & see if they fit in your E-revo.
I guess you have a 1/10 model. Castle Creations advised 5000mAh and 30C = 150A (x2) continous for the Mamba Monster. Your do 4500 and 25C = 112,5A. I think they will work well, but to be sure you better take batteries that can do 150A....
Thanks for the advice guys, but my better judgement told me to go for some 45C packs instead. At least then I have the peace of mind knowing I bought the the very best there is, second only to Polyquest.
NANO'S are so nuch more powerfull than regular lipo's and deliver better off starting power fast fast fast thats all you need to know , i use them on my 90MM edf and wow also you can charg at a higher rate up to 5C but be very, very carefull of explotion and your eyes.
I tried it and it is a great battery. I used two of them in a HPI vorza geared really high with the 2650 kv motor.batteries stayed cool throughout the whole run every time. I can not say the same for any other battery I ran in that Car.
purchase a traxxas conversion cable, in your case i suppose you will be needing a female traxxas cable and purchase 4mm bullet connectors with housing seperate and then fabricate a cable yourself. I am very sorry but there is no cable for bullet to Trassas or even XT60, even though most of the high capacity batteries are equiped with 4mm bullet...
You would be much better off in the long run just soldering on new connectors. Having multiple adapters will increase resistance, and thus lower run-time. It will also add a few unnecessary grams of weight. If you can't solder them yourself, find someone who can.
You can buy an connector cable with traxxas and with 4 mm bullet connectors at the shop. You don't have to solder that way and you can disconnect the cable when using the charger...
Hi,I don't know what type of brushless system you have on your traxxas truck but I recommend you 2 use traxxas battery connectors as they offer virtually zero voltage loss & adapters mean, waste of power! They are cheap & easy 2 solder just follow the instructions in the pack.
just Solder some DEAN's on it. Or have your local Hobby shop do it for you.

8 thumbs up!
i'm giving 3 star overall, shipping to the 48 is horrible, 3 WEEKS it took for a batt to get to Florida. The price is 5 stars, the quality is 5(haven't tried it but looks very well made and voltages are within .01 of each cell). If your are a patient person and have the time to wait 3 weeks for an order i highly recommend these folks

7 thumbs up!
This product started out good, fast recharge and lots of punch but just after two cycles a cell died on me! I haven't had a problem with other Nano's but this was a big disappointment. I messed up by putting Velcro over the UPC code on the side you need that for a warranty return so I took the pack apart and turned it into a 2S. I think I will get another 2S so I can make a 4S (series).
Excellent product. Works in pack of 3 on plane 6500kg witn SuperBrain 100 No problems. Perfectly works. I recommend to purchase. Corresponds to the declared characteristics.

I just had two of these packs arrive today. As usual with Hobbyking the physical dimensions listed are incorrect. The real dimensions are: 154mm Long, 48.5mm wide, 22mm thick. They fit PERFECTLY into a Traxxas Slash 4x4 battery tray, no mods are needed whatsoever. They both came at 11.4v per pack, balanced perfectly. I will update my review when I get a chance to test their performance.
