More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-tech's are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
hello, which how do I have to load this battery? I did it with an accucell 6. parameters: 3s, 1.4 amp and balance charge. the cahrger did its job but, It was only loaded upto aprox 1.6amp.
***p your charger mah setting up to at least 1c which, for this pack, would be 2650 mah. You can charge this pack as much as 8c (...or, eight times the 1c rating) but your charger does not have that capacity.
Let me know if this works.
Good luck!
In theory, you can use it to its fullest capacity from the start. However, my experience has found that this pack won't "puff" up if you break it in.
I break mine in by charging at no more than 2s and then discharging at the highest level my charger has. I repeat this step five times.
I do this to all my packs and have found that my cells all balance well and the packs seem to discharge smoothly at high rates...all without puffing up.
Good Luck!
Hello, how can I connect the brushless motor (http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.as p?idProduct=17135) with the Lipo? and how can I connect this lipo with this charger (http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.as p?idProduct=14857)?
Which Adapter do i need?
Thanks
Connection between Battery and Speed Control: You need to change the battery plug with a XT60.
Connection between motor and speed control: I dont know you motor, but you speed control uses a 3.5mm Bullet Connector (you motor should use the same)
Connection between Baterry and charger: Once you replaced your battery's connector to XT60 its alright, because the charger already comes with a XT60 lead :)
Is Anyone else having problems with these? Of the 6 of these purchased over the past 16 months, 3 of them have had a cell go bad. Power very quickly drops right off after 5 seconds. These where great batteries until they suddenly started dying. The one that died today was 4 months old and had less than 40 flights on it. Aircraft has an SK3 3536-1400 motor, APC 10x4.7SF prop pulling 48 amps.
i have 2 of them , and they have been holding up very well . I mean i run them very hard wired in series on 6s in a e revo with mmm ans they do really well ! no problems here
High C rated packs will be damaged quickly if you rely on your ESC's LVC setting, you MUST land with around 20% capacity left in the pack, in other words, use your TX timer.
I have three of these that's been giving me tremendous service over the past 9 months. I never discharge them lower than 30% or so and if I don't use them for more than a day I charge/discharge them to storage capacity (11.4 volts as per my charger). Very good batteries.
attention to this problem with the battery giving away 2650 mah mah never exceeded 2300, the evidence I bought Turnigy 2200 mah battery autonomy and even when I reboot the load exceeds Turnigy always a little in 2230 or 2245, but in the end teak nano load never exceeds 2300 mah.
I think there was deception on the thumbnail of the battery.
Hi, guys. Want to by this batteries for my T-Rex 450 heli. Does it fit well? What about a CG after installing this one? What is the real weight of the pack? Thanks a lot.
im running a42-60-500kv on a 14-8 abought 51 amp can this batery give a 6 min flight not sure if i could buy these to save on wieght im run two batterys in sieres so 6 cell
Depends on your throttle management. If you do not run Wide Open Throttle, then probably so, At wide Open, you are probably looking at 3 1/2 minutes at my calulations. If you power manage, you would probably be looking at 5 to 6 minutes or more.
nope. you will get less than three minutes. you only have 2.650 amps available for 1 hr, so at 50 amp power drain you have 1/50 of an hour to flatten the battery, so 3 minutes.
i have a 1500kv brushless motor on an rc boat, and with a 2200mah lipo at 50 amps i get around 10 mins run time. from what i see, becouse your motor doesnt need as much power to perform with the 51 amp supply and a higher capacity battery,i would say you should get at least 10 mins flight with medium to high throttle.
nano tech is an advanced technology which uses different chemicals to achieve a high discharge rate. the pack is able to be smaller, and or, longer but thinner,to produce a more powerfull run with a higher discharge capacity. bring it on sun !!
Nanotechs have higher charge and discharge ratings than standard turningy lipoly. They are also supposed to have lower internal resistance, that simply said means they have more power(can turn your prop faster than non-nanotech batteries with same parameters), and that you can charge them way faster. However, only time will tell how many cycles thay can do without puffing
I do not know how mutch space you have in the T-28, but the size of the battery is 135mm x 43mm x 17mm. Maybe you can meassure to be sure. They perform greate in my Graupner Mirage 2000 (EDF) with 550 Watts setup.
I ordered them, I'll cut my battery space if I have too. thanks for the info. my T-28 is not stock anyways lol but with this battery it should become a Jet.
Guys this fits the 450z just fine...Canopy and all.
This is EXACTLY the same length as T2450.3S.30 The Turnigy 2450mAh 3S 30C Lipo Pack. Got one flight in yesterday.
This battery can be charged at 8C i.e. close to about 21 amps. you need to have a charger that can charge at this rate... try the icharger 206B. then you will be able to make full use of the www.link
If you read below...

8C if you're in a hurry.
5C if you dont mind waiting a few more minutes and want a longer lasting battery and dont want to spend bigger dollars on a charger.
If you plan running it without a canopy it should be ok (Make sure the battery doesn't fell off). You might need to adjust CG since this battery is 35g-40g heavier than the zippy 2200 3s 20c. The width and height dimensions should fit in the battery compartment. Well i guess someone has to let us know for sure :D
Well hopefully they will come out with a 2250ish nano-tech lipo that will fit on a 450pro or other 450 helicopters. Then the same battery could be used for all the parkzone parkflyers and others.
8C if you're in a hurry. 5C if you dont mind waiting a few more minutes and want a longer lasting battery and dont want to spend bigger dollars on a charger.
Amps x Volts = Watts For instance 2.65 x 11.1 = 29.415. Watts = 29.415 let's say 30. To charge on 5C rate you ll multiply 5x30 to get the watts your charger and you power supply needs to use in order to charge the pack. If these Watts exceed the capabilities of your charger or Power supply you ll end up with a burning smell in the room that might take a day or 2 to dissolve. :D
Learned the hard way :D
use high watt chargers like icharger. regular 50 watt chargers will not be able to charge these batteries at www.link

This LiPo is really worth the money. I use them in a Protos500 2x3S 2650mAh and on my Sebart Angel S30 and in a Funjet. Compared to the Roxxy ZY they are a bit smaller and have less weight, but more power. You will not notice a huge differece in a plane (even though there is a noticible increase of power). On the Protos the differece is awsam! The Roxxy are 2700mAh but I get slightly longer flight times with the Nano-Tech! The Roxxy ZY is about the same price as the Nano-Tech (incl freight), so the only advantage you have from buying the Roxxy is that you dont have shipping costs if one cell is damaged or dead on arrival to get them exchanged.
Charging up to 5C is also great, but your charger needs to support that! I charge them up to 3C and that is enough to fly almost without a break using 3 packs.
