what is the best motor in hk to remplace the motor of this plane? Cause i broke mine. I want to use with the 15a esc and a 6x3 Thanks and excuse my bad english!
Ca4lo  67 points - 5/3/2013

is the motor shaft 3mm?
 will 1 points
it is 2mm, checked
javier  5 points - 4/27/2013

I need a new motor cause i broke it on a "hard landing". The plane comes with a 180w and 2100kv motor. Its better to buy a motor with more kv or with less kv? What would be a good and cheap motor for this planes, with 15a esc?
 justin 1 points
try to find the same one or with more kv because if you have more kv your plane will have more power
 will 1 points
where do i buy a new prop shaft?
Anton  2 points - 4/22/2013

do you need to buy extra parts and the remote?
 Abhimanyu 1 points
Hi,yes you will need a transmitter and receiver(minimum 4ch) 2cell lipo battery.. Hope that help.
will  1 points - 4/20/2013

hi, how the hell do i get the battery to fit in the hatch and how do i attach the tail? many ythanks
Ca4lo  67 points - 4/20/2013

hew the heck am i supposed to attach the front wheel???
 will 1 points
it normally comes attached but if it isn't reject it and hobby king will give you one with a front wheel attached good luck
 Ca4lo 67 points
is there any way i can attach it myself because i have already glued the tail together and some modifications by cutting out foam so i dont think they will acept it plus the return ost is heaps.
 will 1 points
is there a hole for the leg to go in?
 will 1 points
how did you glue the tail on?
 Ca4lo 67 points
with the foam that came with it.
 will 1 points
what glue did you use?
 Ca4lo 67 points
foam glue. if you dont have any look in the tools section and then glues

No Replacement Parts Available - I confirmed this with HobbyKing customer support. I need to replace the cowl but it wasn't available for sale. If you're a beginner, you are likely to crash it and need replacement parts. Sadly, none are available. Very fragile motor shaft* too short for prop saver - bends very easily, and a hassle to straighten. One way to reduce bending is to use a prop saver, but the shaft is too short for it. I had to buy another motor with a thicker, longer shaft, to fit a prop saver. Poor Center of Gravity (CoG) - I tried to shift the ESC, receiver, and battery, as near to the nose as I could, yet the CG was still near to the tail. An off-balanced plane is unflyable, so I added 14grams of weight to the cowl. That balanced the plane nicely.

Just got my Cessna 182 a few days ago. No instructions in the box. Also bought a 6 channel mode 2 Tx/Rx at the same time, also HK and also no instructions. Don't want to burn anything up. The guy at the Hobby store said he couldn't get the prop to work either. Please help!
 Karl 201 points
It says to use a 6.3x3.15 but I think that you would be fine with a 6x4 prop if your asking what type of prop to use, because it has a smaller diameter and a higher pitch. The hobby shops usually have those in an APC style. As for the transmitter, go under the files tab on the product page and look in there. Hope that this helps and happy flying.
Ca4lo  67 points - 3/15/2013

Does anybody know of hk sells floats that will fit this??
 Karl 201 points
I can't find any floats that Hobbyking sells but you could maybe scratch build some. Don't know if this helps much but just an idea. Good luck and happy flying.

I have a Walkera "WK-2402" radio, will it work with this bird?
 Ca4lo 67 points
if you have a reciver with regular servo connectors that is bound with your radio

Hey guys, rceived the plane, and the esc battery connecter labeled xt60. I have no idea what battery i should buy that can connect on it. I also realise when i browse the batteries on hobbyK, some has yellow and large connecter and some doesnt, can somebody guide me through this?
 Ca4lo 67 points
yes the yellow large ones are xt-60 and should be the right one. the other ones are ether large red deans connectors or small red jst. on hobbyking planes the most common are the xt60.

Hi, I'm stuck between this and the Micro 182 light aircraft 550mm w/2.4ghz TX (Mode 2) Charger/Lipoly (RTF) Can someone please help me ? Give me your opinion on which is better. I would be so grateful. Thanks.
 Mohsin 113 points
If you are total beginner then this one is good. and if you are a bit experience then go for 182.

hello
a person help me ,,I need motor esc and nose ,,I crash
I run whit 3S 850
tanks
 CrashAce 797 points
no spare parts listed for this plane. you'll have to glue and tape it back together as best you can. Any 6x3 or 6x4 prop should work fine.
sunclou  6 points - 11/9/2012

hello
I am looking for pieces, I had an accident and the nose is broken so I can not find the spare room
 CrashAce 797 points
Do you mean the plastic cowling or the metal prop adapter? you can get a new prop adapter, you'll just need to measure the shaft diameter of you motor and purchase one that fits. The cowling is not stocked by HK. I shattered mine and glued it back as best I could then covered it with white duct tape. Turned out ok. good luck!
Crovador  2 points - 11/1/2012

Hey guys, does anyone know where I can find the replacement elevator for this plane? Thank you.
 CrashAce 797 points
It's not stocked. you'll have to repair it as best you can. If the epo is gone jut replace it with balsa wood. Then coat it with a thin layer epoxy for extra strength & protection. Then a layer of tape for added strength.
Erwin Z  66 points - 10/29/2012

is this plane discontinued, it's been out of stock for ages
 CrashAce 797 points
You'll need to contact HK directly. click the contact button in the header and post your question along with the product number.

would this be a good beginner plane? thx
 Gary 2985 points
As per my previous posting on the other model you were enquiring about, yes, this would also be quite good, the other though comes complete which might be better for beginning.
 Pablo 1 points
It will do the job, but I recomend you a more easy to fly plane. For a 2nd plane this will be really nice!, but for learning...
 Darren 14 points
not a beginner plane, i brought one for my father in law because he wanted to try flying... tried to put it up without me and killed it on his first attempt. I would look at one of the glider style planes with the push type motor. *)
Baxter  62 points - 10/9/2012

Anybody know how to get a replacement engine cowl for this plane..?
 Darren 14 points
I'm pretty sure you cant, i tried for one i brought. Clear packing tape was my saviour in the end :(
techason  16 points - 10/8/2012

3s capable?
 DukeOfDream 109 points
no need for 3s...it flys like a jet with the 2s setup...Trust me it's really fast and more than enought power..
DmitreyDV  1 points - 8/13/2012

Alright, I got my package with replacement motor. So I would recommend ID: FC2805. I found it more powerful than stock one. With prop ID: MA0740, and MA0730 (7x4 and 7x3) it flies just great. In hi-moderate wind it keeps fine. Esc becomes a bit warm, but no problem so far.

With a 2/3 of throttle I feel plane runs as 100% of stock motor.

Note that you should adjust motor mount - it doesn't match stock one. You have to drill few holes for screws and wires.
