what is the best motor in hk to remplace the motor of this plane? Cause i broke mine.
I want to use with the 15a esc and a 6x3
Thanks and excuse my bad english!
I need a new motor cause i broke it on a "hard landing".
The plane comes with a 180w and 2100kv motor.
Its better to buy a motor with more kv or with less kv?
What would be a good and cheap motor for this planes, with 15a esc?
is there any way i can attach it myself because i have already glued the tail together and some modifications by cutting out foam so i dont think they will acept it plus the return ost is heaps.
No Replacement Parts Available - I confirmed this with HobbyKing customer support. I need to replace the cowl but it wasn't available for sale. If you're a beginner, you are likely to crash it and need replacement parts. Sadly, none are available.
Very fragile motor shaft* too short for prop saver - bends very easily, and a hassle to straighten. One way to reduce bending is to use a prop saver, but the shaft is too short for it. I had to buy another motor with a thicker, longer shaft, to fit a prop saver.
Poor Center of Gravity (CoG) - I tried to shift the ESC, receiver, and battery, as near to the nose as I could, yet the CG was still near to the tail. An off-balanced plane is unflyable, so I added 14grams of weight to the cowl. That balanced the plane nicely.
Just got my Cessna 182 a few days ago. No instructions in the box. Also bought a 6 channel mode 2 Tx/Rx at the same time, also HK and also no instructions. Don't want to burn anything up. The guy at the Hobby store said he couldn't get the prop to work either. Please help!
It says to use a 6.3x3.15 but I think that you would be fine with a 6x4 prop if your asking what type of prop to use, because it has a smaller diameter and a higher pitch. The hobby shops usually have those in an APC style. As for the transmitter, go under the files tab on the product page and look in there. Hope that this helps and happy flying.
I can't find any floats that Hobbyking sells but you could maybe scratch build some. Don't know if this helps much but just an idea. Good luck and happy flying.
Hey guys, rceived the plane, and the esc battery connecter labeled xt60. I have no idea what battery i should buy that can connect on it. I also realise when i browse the batteries on hobbyK, some has yellow and large connecter and some doesnt, can somebody guide me through this?
yes the yellow large ones are xt-60 and should be the right one. the other ones are ether large red deans connectors or small red jst. on hobbyking planes the most common are the xt60.
Hi, I'm stuck between this and the Micro 182 light aircraft 550mm w/2.4ghz TX (Mode 2) Charger/Lipoly (RTF)
Can someone please help me ? Give me your opinion on which is better.
I would be so grateful. Thanks.
Do you mean the plastic cowling or the metal prop adapter? you can get a new prop adapter, you'll just need to measure the shaft diameter of you motor and purchase one that fits. The cowling is not stocked by HK. I shattered mine and glued it back as best I could then covered it with white duct tape. Turned out ok. good luck!
It's not stocked. you'll have to repair it as best you can. If the epo is gone jut replace it with balsa wood. Then coat it with a thin layer epoxy for extra strength & protection. Then a layer of tape for added strength.
As per my previous posting on the other model you were enquiring about, yes, this would also be quite good, the other though comes complete which might be better for beginning.
not a beginner plane, i brought one for my father in law because he wanted to try flying... tried to put it up without me and killed it on his first attempt. I would look at one of the glider style planes with the push type motor. *)
Alright, I got my package with replacement motor. So I would recommend ID: FC2805. I found it more powerful than stock one. With prop ID: MA0740, and MA0730 (7x4 and 7x3) it flies just great. In hi-moderate wind it keeps fine. Esc becomes a bit warm, but no problem so far.
With a 2/3 of throttle I feel plane runs as 100% of stock motor.
Note that you should adjust motor mount - it doesn't match stock one. You have to drill few holes for screws and wires.
No, it does not come with a spare prop, but i found PRODUCT ID:MA0635 to work the best for me.o
