Hi everyone well have 1 of these and for the life of me I can not get it to work with the new Trooper I brought, can get the steering to work right to left but no forward or reverse have tried every combo and still no motor action, have read the manual over and over and the trooper manual the same and still can not get this this to work..
David  1 points - 5/22/2013

Hi, is there a lithium Tx pack that suits this radio?
 TANER 8 points
You can use the 2-cell lipo battery.
 David 1 points
A two cell lipo is 8.4v fully charged. 8 AA batteries are 8 x 1.4v = 11.2v. Would a 3s lithium battery (such as PRODUCT ID: T2650.3S.1C) be too much? I notice this product is recommended for the Turnigy 9X transmitter which is also 8AA standard.

Can any one please help me, just got my new Turnigy Trooper SCT 4x4 1/10 Brushless Short Course Truck (ARR) and when I brought it this is unit they advise to buy with the car, but can not seem to get the trooper work.. the steering works but no motor action thanks inadvance for any help. rgds Chris

Chris, try using a manual for your ESC to calibrate it under the default settings of your RX\TX
Glenn  1 points - 5/16/2013

Can anyone please tell me how to bind the TX RX cos I never got a manual. Thanks Glenn
 Sean 1 points
Try plugging everything in to your receiver and powering it up with the tx turned off (be sure to disconnect motor wires from esc or remove pinion gear to avoid runways) with the rx powered up turn on the tx then hit the bind button on the rx. The light on the rx should change from red to green to indicate correct binding. Hope this helps

Did this TX "fail" in move across "zero" position (for example from left to right?

does anyone know or have a video on how to set up the third channel to run a winch on a rc scale truck?
 JOSEPH 1 points
if you are using a 3 ch. radio. the 3ed ch. is the AUX ch. you can hook up a servo to operate the winch on you'er www.link

Has anyone experienced issues when using this radio with high speed digital servos, more specifically a savox 1257tg and a align ds610? Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks Rafael, im from Portugal, are you to? My Crawler have 2 steering servos, front and back, and does this transmiter do that? Like turn fornt only, turn back only, turn all 4 wheels....
Joao  1 points - 5/2/2013

 rafael 3 points
yes joao this transmitter works in al rc models, but if you ara using a crawler maybe you need more funtions, but yes you can use this one, and its a very good transmiter and at a very good price¡*¡*

Had this tx for a few months a everything worked ok... Since today. Now, the steeing has gone wild, I'll try to explain : if I turn the steering wheel to the right, everything works perfect but if I turn to the left, first the servo turns left but if I keep turning the sw left and exceed half way, then then the servo returns to neutral then start to turn left a little. Of course I tried with another servo and another rx : same result. The problems comes from the tx and if I invert the steering channel on the tx, it does the same crazy thing in opposite direction. I have made a reset, re-binded to the rx : same result. So I just can't use this tx anymore. If someone has an idea, that would be great !!!

Hey, do you need to program this through a pc or is it ready to use? I really want to get this if it doesn't need to get programed through a pc, so does it needs to get programed through a pc? Or not? THANKS!!
 Is40:31 1463 points
not mine, charged it, turned it on and started driving my Trooper, was even bound to the receiver.
 Is40:31 1463 points
btw, by charging it I mean the li-po that I purchased along with it . . . .

hi I have a GM XG-6i 2.0 FHSS RACE SPEC 3-channel radio. Specification Frequency 2400 MHz Modulation FHSS It looks just like the HK-310 Does anyone know if i can use the HKR3000 receiver.
 salih selim 3 points
you can't because you have MHZ this receiver is GHZ they don't coupling each other.
 Lars 1 points
1000 MHZ = 1,0 GHZ :) so 2400 MHZ is 2,4 GHZ so there is no problem here.
 salih selim 3 points
what is the problem ? you know the answer

can ı* use this radio with Turnigy 620DMG HS High Torque Digital Servo (MG) 10.6kg / .13sec / 52g and Ezrun Hobbywing esc ?
frogs84ss  29 points - 4/21/2013

it says you can do a custom mix. does anybody have experiance doing this with this radio. looking to beable to do 4 wheel steering mixes for a clod buster for example. mixing with frt steering so that rear steering kick in at say over 50 percent drive channel and limiting the full throw of the slave c hannel or rear steering in this case. just currious any answers would be awesome
CaptainDan  6 points - 4/10/2013

it is compatible with Kyosho mini-Z?
 tramsgar 237 points
That depends on the receiver in your car.
 sharkey9 798 points
If you have the RTR then no, it is not.
 AnthonyLong 102 points
NO - this will NOT work with Mini-Z. (1)Cannot bind to RTR Mini-Z (2)This RX is too big to fit inside any Mini-Z
Miguel Felix  6 points - 4/9/2013

Anyone know if you can get internal parts of the station? I broke the lcd.
 Jarno 10 points
Considering the price.. I don't think so.. you probably can't get an LCD ( at a reasonable price ) even to "brand radios" - so go ahead and buy a new one *)
maiki  45 points - 4/7/2013

Can you take off the untena?
 Is40:31 1463 points
It doesn't un-screw from the body of the tx. It does appear to be in two pieces, but I am hesitant to try and take it off without looking inside the controller first.
 NOSTROMO 39 points
not easy, if you open your tx, will see that antenna is hold in place with a circlip, easy to put off, BUT antena wire is soldered to tx board, so unless you are ready to unsolder the antenna cable and solder a new pigtail in place with a connector to be able to screw/unscrew antenna, there is no chance. So if you want it can be done but be ready to find an pigtail cable with connector, best chance is an old pc wifi card that become a donnor.
cheers.
 Lacrimadoce 1 points
The antena is fixed in the body of the radio, but if you take of the board where the wire of the antena is solded, you have no problems. 'cause the board is not soldered but fix in an adapter

Is there any hope for this being stocked in NETHERLAND? I wil order 5 so do stock a few moe then 10. Thanks for answering
 tramsgar 237 points
I've pointed out to HK before that as they stock cars in NL it might be clever to also stock TX/RX for cars there... I cannot believe they do not obey me! =)
Rok  9 points - 3/28/2013

One does not simply get this transmitter from a warehouse near you

Better yet get a 9.9v Life for the controller...

HEllo HK What charger do I need for the Transmitter? I bougth the Turnigy AA LSD 2400mAh Low Self Discharge. Marius K.
 Ayden 128 points
hi there those batteries arent rechargerable, i reccomend you to by lipo transmitter batteries or 1.2v aa rechargeable batteries.
 Ayden 128 points
sorry looking at wrong battery, that battery you can buy in the charger section aa batery charger at a low cost. cheers ayden.
 Is40:31 1463 points
Originally I removed the battery tray and made an adapter to charge with my ACC6. I have since changed to Li-Po, PRODUCT ID: T1450-TX-3 fits this TX.

I have this controller for my Turnigy Buggy, but the LCD display never worked. I have no idea how to program the settings. I don't really need to do any custom settings, but I don't know if I am missing out on anything important.
 Alex nXs 16 points
Without the lcd you won't never be able to program it, If I were you I would ask for the warranty...
 Angy 77 20 points
yes absolutly impossible without lcd

I just broke my steering wheel :-( I have glued it with CA but don't think it will last long.... Does anyone know if there is a replacement steering wheel ? As per reviews of replacement steering wheels in this site they are not suitable for this TX... Appreciate any help on this. Thanks
 Alex nXs 16 points
I had the same problem as you and I bought here in HK a new steering wheel in alloy, the only problem is that you will have to adjust a little plastic piece between the new wheel and the radio, but it isn't difficult, I hope this helps you!

 Bazbaz 11 points
Hi Alex. Thanks for your answer. Till now the CA still holds bu when it won't longer do the job I will do so.... BTU - I am not sure it is the wheel itself... I think it is the shaft which I am no sure included in the alloy wheel kit. Thanks
 Alex nXs 16 points
If still the CA holds the wheel, it's okay. But in my case was the plastic shaft broken and that is included with the new wheel, here you are the url of what I www.link includes 3 different shafts, and the first or the second of the left can be modified for it usin in our hk-310 You are welcome!
 Bazbaz 11 points
Can you pls post the exact cat number of the wheel set as there are differences between the sets
 Alex nXs 16 points
I can't post with my phone url, so you must look in radios&receivers, and there in part&accessories in the first page you will find the steering wheel, the silver ones
 Bazbaz 11 points
Phone URL ??? I was asking for the cat ( catalog ) number .. In any case I will look to find the one which suppose to fit out of the list
 Alex nXs 16 points
Sorry i didnt't explained properly, the product ID: HK-802S
 NOSTROMO 39 points
Alu steering wheels comes with ADAPTOR to fit the wheel to the tx steering axle, but if you broke your axle, adaptors don't solve the problem.
salil  1 points - 3/1/2013

What am I really losing functionally by getting the HK300 instead of the HK310?
 Alex nXs 16 points
The HK-300 has simple features, and the HK-310 has more advanced configuration: Features: 16 Model Memory with user programable names 2.4ghz FHSS Technology Dual Rate EPA ST Curve TH Curve TH Hold ABS (Anti-Lock brake) Timer ATS (Automatic Start) BK Mix (Brake Mixing) Custom Mix Fail Safe Neutral Calibration
