The balls come separated, you put first the white stoppers in the carbon rod, put the ball, and then the plastic stopper. The ball is not perforated, you need to do some force to insert the rods. The stoppers will hold the balls in position. Then, you insert the other end of the carbon rod into the round holder and tie up the whole thing to the landing skids. Look at the photo to get the idea. Good luck! target=_blank>
Yes it fits if you read numbers like 450... Cuz its a 450 class heli.... What class is your trex 450? Must be 500 class right? Omg get out of this hobby.
Yes it fits fine on a 450. Make sure you fix the gear with the cable ties even if the training gear fits fine without them. I did that once and the gear came off mid air and I had a bad launch.
I had to wait like 45days. :(
The item is a "must have" for me and I have no rush to get it. On my next order I think I will order another one just in case.
Why are these so flimsy/bendy, i have this and another set and these just bend till flat on the ground while my other training gear holds my heli about 4 inches off the ground, is it supposed to be like this?
I think it doesn't matter if the helis sits flat on the ground or not. The training gear is just to keep your heli from tipping over and this works fine.
Yes it is ment to be flimsy like that, it's so if you helicopter has hard landing the training gear can absorb some of the impact with out breaking, however the center peace of plastic is really fragel and if not supported it will break, so when zip tying the training gear in place keep in mind theat the center also have a zp tie
I was suprised that the rods are carbon! But gram heavier than real carbon. Great value though - can use the 330 cm rods for bulding and stiffen up planes. This is much cheaper than buying 2x 750 mm carbon rod :) Shipping makes 750mm carbon soo high price.
the rods are carbon fibre they are great for there price and hobbyking is one of the best shops for the cheap prices and amazing qaulity products you can never go rong when you shop at hobbyking these carbon rods are by far the best for anything they can be used for if you ever get rid of your heli i used them on a 500 mfa heli and they were great but got rid of my engine and the heli has sat ever since but im going to use the rods to make a roll bar for one of my trucks as i know it will take the wieght thanks again hobbyking :)
I use an Irrigation 4 way connector for the centre peice. Get the 4 way junction drill out to 3mm and your good to go. Just use some tape to secure the legs and it will only break if you go in mega hard. You have 9 spares anyway if you got a 10 pack ! Much cheaper and super easy.
For the center piece, I applied lots and lots of hot glue between the two halves of the center piece and then pressed them realy hard. Now it is strong...
Hmmm I think you may be assembling the device wrong if you think it has two halves. U slot the rods into either one of the centre holders. You have two, one with six legs or one with four If you are using hot glue i dont think you are using it as designed.
These are generally suitable on 500 size heli also. I use the same size on 500 size heli. but if you have not bought these. I would suggest that you purchase a training kit which is made for 500 size heli
the training kit would be to small for your 500 size heli. the hole idea is to have a big landing radus for your heli. and you might find it wont fit the heli landing gear.
I have the same exact item. Bought elsewhere but 100 percent identical. The central hub is a joke! It is the weakest link. It will crack/break very easily. Get either a metal central hub or reinforce it by zip tying a small block of wood under it.
