Sorry. No elephant stamp for this maths. Nearly but not quite. You calculated the estimated Pinion RPM. Now to work out the number of pinion teeth with a main gear teeth count of 170 for head RPM of 1600. t = 1600x170/26006 or 10.45. So between 10 and 11 teeth for 1600 RPM. Similarly 12 teeth will give me a calculated head speed of 1837 RPM. My mistake was that I thought Align supplied a 10T pinion and a 1100KV motor for a head speed of about 2000 RPM. In fact I've now been told by dgcarter in the T600-1400 motor Questions that T-Rex motor is 1620 RPM. So their calculated head speed would be 1770 & now the 12 or 13 tooth pinion on 1400KV makes sense. But thank you for taking the trouble to reply. No Elephant stamp but a shop credit for effort.
Hi, I did not make it up. My first heli was a mini titan and you can find this formula in the manual. Since then I always follow it and never gone wrong.
Sure you didn't 'make it up' & I thank you for your answer. But it calculates the gear ratio. 16.25 is NOT the number of pinion teeth. The gear ratio still needs to converted into pinion teeth by dividing the number of main gear teeth by 16.25 to get the required number of pinion teeth. 16 pinion teeth with 170 main gear teeth gives a gear ratio of 10.6
Assuming that HK-600 gears are compatible with the TRex-600, this pinion's modulus is 0.7 mm, or 0.0276 inches. The pitch is the inverse of the modulus, so this gear's pitch is 36. It looks to me that this pinion's teeth are to small for your application, Donqskie... You will need bigger ones. The 0.8 Mod pinion would be the one for you. Its pitch will be exactly 32.
Hey, younger engineers, correct me if I made any mistake, please!
I got two of these gears on my list both with the same part number (H60166) but diferent price one is $0,99 the other $0.89 ,,,,,,just asking , why two at diferent priceses ????.
Sorry Charles. Not all of my comments are intelligent. I see that motor has a 6mm shaft so this pinion should have fitted. Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the other customers. My apologies for my stupid remark.
CHARLES: You were VERY unlucky. I bought this pinion for my Turnigy 600 H37404 Brushless Outrunner 910kv which has a 6mm shaft and it fits perfectly. I suspect the first batch weren't any good, but the current batch are definitely 6mm, as described.

This pinion does not fit the Turnigy 600T 1100kv motor (or the Align 600M 1220kv)! I have tried this pinion on several motors with 6mm shafts and it does not fit. This must be a 5mm.
