Reply to Miguel: I agree with your recommendation, and decided to switch to the XT60 plugs. Also looking at the Turnigy 420, balance/charger for $26.00, Yes or No?

Hi Douglas. First, thanks for the like. About the charger, the TGY 420 looks very simple and hardy, but it doesn't persuades me very much, for that kind of money I like better the Hobbyking ECO SIX 80W 6A 2~6S Battery Balance Charger AC/DC w/PSU (Id: 9418000001), or IMAX B6 Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells (GENUINE)(Id:IMAXB6) or Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charge (Id: ACC6). I think these are more powerful and versatile, even more with the first you won't need to get a power supply.

Qs8006 Switching from Li/ion 1800 mAh batt pak to Turngy 2250mAh 4S 65C with XT60 plug. Question: Should I just purchase HK Male XT60 to Female deans (T) Connector OR cut off the XT60 plug and solder on the old T connector? Also the QS comes with cheap Balancer, any suggestions?
 Miguel 56 points
Isn't a good idea to cut the battery wires, better get the adapter or modify the speed controller connetion. In other hand, if you are sure this is your hobby, then is time to get a good balancer/charger.

I have the XT60 in my F9F which fail on take off, distroying the F9F. The XT60 had a dry soldered joint.(no solder at all). Please check before using.

That's why I never use these type adaptors, i just get the connectors and solder them myself, that way i know they are done right.

usefull for switch from xt60 to T
 François 6 points
Yes the yellow plus is XT 60
 Muhammad 5 points
Hi ALESSANDRO, you should consider switching for T to XT60. The main reasons being that the XT60: 1- can handle higher current - rated at 60 amps 2- much easier to solder - the pins have a concave design which holds the melted solder better, both pins are the same orientation so no need to turn over to solder the next tab 3- easier to connect a disconnect These are just a few things that I have personally experienced. I have since changed out all my plugs or bought adapters.

Hi, I just bought my first HK plane, the F6F Hellcat and noticed that they don't use Dean Plugs. All of my batteries have Deans connectors and I want an adapter that will work. The Hellcat has bullet plugs - a male and a female whereas this adapter looks OK from the Deans side (ie. female) but has only male on the XT60 side. HELP! Is there something wrong with the battery connector on the Hellcat? Michael
 Kirkles 115 points
Ok so here are your options: solder on different connectors Buy different battery Get a different adapter
 Brain 110 points
Hi, HK should have an Adaptor or you can make one your self.
 Michael_555 5 points
Thanks guys, I've put this back to HK to sort out as there is a problem with the plug on the plane.

It is always better to sold a new connector compatible with your batteries. Instead of use adapters. Adapters add weight and also reduce a bit the power.
 srepfler 1113 points
You need two adapter HXT 4mm to XT60 adapter and on that XT60 to T-coonector ( no HXT to T-connector in shop), but is better to solder you adapter to plane and have it directly connected.

tu peux te le fabriquer, ou alors change le ou fabrique un cable universel qui te servira pour ton chargeur et controleur.bonne chance
 flyboy69 77 points
This does NOT go deans/t to bullet, it goes deans/t to ht60 plug.
