HELP.
I bought this esc trackstar 60A V2 and installed with a engine XK3650-B-3900KV Brushless Inrunner but I'm having a problem, despite running it produces no power and the engine does not keep accelerating. Already programmed with the card and nothing changed.
Can someone help me.
Hi experts, recently got this ESC with Turnigy Trackstar 3900Kv motor and having issues. The ESC calibrates to forward and reverse but gives 50% power in Forward and 100% in reverse. Tried Reversing my Transmitter and recalibrating but had same issue. Its almost like either one is set to go the wrong way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Too easy! just switch two wires from the three wires of your motor to ESC... This should reverse your channel manually.. then you'll be able to have 100% acceleration and 50% reverse :) Then recalibrate your transmitter to the correct orientation...
Yes Ofcourse! but make sure the NiCD or NiMH pack is within 7.2V-11.1V its good to go! Can i recommend you use LiPo batteries, specially with a 3S LiPo, you'll notice the power difference and your RC will be a beast! :)
This is the polarity I have esc to motor... orange/red blue/black and yellow to yellow. The receiver and transmitter are binded and the esc beeps twice once turned on and then makes a ringing sound and then oonce in a while makes a single beep.
The ESC to motor appears to be correct, it can be in any orientation...Do you have a futaba transmitter? if so, this needs to connect to channel 3(throttle) of your receiver... Yea, i understand now, see how it keeps beeping? it means you've entered "Programming Mode" in order for this to stop, you'll need to reverse the channel of your transmitter... This will correct your throttle to 0% after you turn your ESC on!
Is your receiver binded to your transmitter? What exactly is happening to the ESC? is it turning on? or making noises? check the polarity of the wires...
Yes. It can be done manual using the instruction on your manual of you could bay extra a turnigy TrackStar ESC Programming Card, were its very simple to use to program your speed control.
Yes, should work just fine. Most receivers and ESC's have been using standard Futaba style plugs since the Mid 1990's. Just pay attention to how it plugs in (Polarity) and you will be fine.
Hello!
I have trooper sct 4x4 with esc Turnigy TrackStar 1/10th Scale 60A Car ESC Version 2 and a motor trackstar 3300KV.I have a lipo 2s 30c 5000mah but i play not for a long time
If i take lipo 3s i would play longer?
Which lipo 3s I takes?
How long you can ride does not depend how much volts you put into your model. It all depend on your lipo capacity. With 1:10 SCT you should be able to ride about 30 min with your 5000mAh. If not maybe you are using wrong charger? Or your lipo is simply dying
you can unhook the fan and splice the into the positive and negative wires that go to the receiver. then the fan will run at the 5v or 6v of the internal bec. making it keep a decent rpm without burning up. just dont hook into the signal wire. has worked wonders for me.
Yes it runs perfectly!!! that's what I have in my Traxxas Rustler. I got this ESC after I burned my stock one, it runs cooler and longer on a charger the the stock one!
I ran this on a Turnigy Trackstar 3900KV motor in a rustler and it was a SCREAMER. Technically, you can run this ESC on a wide range of KV motors. It depends what car you are putting it in. what are you putting it in? I woudl RECCOMMEND 3000-5000KV if its going in a 1/10 scale vehicle.
This esc is excellent for what it is*) I am running this esc in brushless conversion from nitro on 450watt outrunner on 3s with no problem, geared down a bit for sick acceleration!!!
Hi I purchased this speed controller but I'm unable to see a light on it as described in setup manual for when setting it up to the transmitter, I have programmed it to the transmitter but the brake do seem to be set up, I'm trying to do the setup by listening to the beeps but I don't help when it don't seem to have a break from one program to th other, please could someone give me some advise.
Did not test it on a Velineon 3500, but for Sure it will work on that motor. I used it on an 4 pole 1:8 motor with a lot of magnet torque, the ESC could easily handle that motor. So an velineon will be easy for this Turnigy ESC.
can i use my Leopard program card for this ESC? the leopard card has several more options, low cut off, auto lipo cut off, drag brake, brake strength, punch control, reverse type, sensored or sensor less, and timing. just curious. thanks!
This programming is required for all engines and transmitters, is written in the manual of ESC. I'm using Card Program: Turnigy TrackStar ESC Programing Card,
More on this program not pefeita Card programming but in (transmissar / ESC / Motor)
Excellent in E-revo 1/16, a really strong ESC and small in size, the car is perfect, just need to calibrate Neutral, Reverse and Accelerator on the transmitter and is ready for use,
Yes you Can use this Esc, the original Esc of the Trooper is 35Amp.

1 thumbs up!
Trackstar 60amp esc is worth every penny! I was a little hesitant at the price for a 60amp esc, but they perform flawless! If you plan on buying two or more for multiple motor applications, the motors start at the same time when in parallel config., due to the auto centering program when they are turned on. I purchased four, and all worked great! I also noticed the fans are quieter than the Hobbywing brand, which I personally own 12 of in different sizes and love as well. You do have to remember that these esc are not fully sealed for water proofing, but these would do best for road car. The 60amp esc uses a different esc that the 18amp and the 150amp. The program-ability has few choices, but what it does have will suffice most. With that said, you also have to use the program card too change the battery cell count to (2S lipo) to a (3S lipo). If your looking for a great inexpensive ESC, I highly recommend them. If you are a store owner for retail, they do come in a nice package for retail.

Using it in my Mini Summit, very small in size and fit perfectly into the stock ESC slot. I am using the FlySky GT3B Radio and I'm very happy with the ESC! However, there are couple issues that I want to share:
One special feature is that you do not have to program the ESC, it automatically detect your neutral, forward and reverse. However, one problem with this is that sometimes it is a bit off and when that happens, if you have your throttle at neutral, the car starts to move a little. To solve it, I just restart the ESC and let it detect neutral point again. Another issue with this feature, is that reverse feels a little odd, to get into reverse, you almost have push the throttle all the way back. It will start to reverse slowly and then pick up speed.
It would be nice if we could just program the neutral, forward and reverse ourselves so we do not have these problems. But it could be my radio.
ONE MAJOR LACKING FEATURE is cutoff point adjustment, you can only choose NiMH, 2S, 3S batteries. And it seems like the ESC cuts off at 3.0V/Cell which I really don't feel comfortable. No other way to set the actual cut off point. I think it is a bit too low!

Quite cheap, and so far working good with an ezrun 8.5T motor. No soldering was needed since motor and batteries already had matching plugs. I rather dislike the lack of a manual calibration option and especially the lack of an adjustable LiPo cutoff. But then, it does cost under 25$ afterall. I had no issues getting it to work and it seems to have plenty of power. The fan is way loud, though.. going to have to look into a replacement there.

Great ESC for the cash!!! Currenty running it in my Tenbol Merv (on 2s and 3s) and it has been faultless. Very easy to setup only issue I have is there is no auto-cell detect feature (or there is I just haven't found it yet). The program card is very basic but does the job. It's a small unit too, I had the EZ-run 60a ESC before this and it stuck out over the chassis way too much, this sits perfectly in the space provided with minimum overhang on the chassis. It's definitely worth the cash without a doubt....Hobbyking have done it again!
