Hello Marcelo, no, it wont be ready to fly. You would still need the items listed in the description under "Required Items".

Search for "floats" and "RC Heli" in Google and you will find what you need to land on water.

Hi What's the difference between HK500GT-TT and HK500CMT-TT ? I imagine the difference is in the main frame material... Thanks
 Rafael 10 points
the cmt has carbon frame, full metal head (the mixer arm) and a full metal tail (blade grips), is a better heli for experient pilots but the plastic make the crash cheaper

3rd Question: Can anyone at HK help me with a list of items that I need to order that will enable me to build a complete 3D heli without having to come back and order a washer or screw that wasn't in the original order. Or even worse, a handful of parts I dont need... The ideal would be to sit down with the parcel, open it up, assemble everything, check the tracking, go outside and fly it. Can anybody help me please? Please.
 Jason 3 points
Thats a loaded question. You obviously need to order within your budget, but also, different flying styles need different parts in my honest opinion. Use the search feature on the website, do your research on forums. Asking for a list from others requires others to do the research for you. Most kits will tell you in the explanation what is required. Good luck.

2nd Question: Can anyone explain the difference in the electr motors. How can the Esky Belt CP (450) have a 3850kV motor and the much bigger HK 500 only a 1600kV motor. Or is it that the higher the figure the weaker the motor? What doe kV stand for? Surely not for kilo volt... that would be 1 600 000 Volts... Lightning!
 F100CUFFLINK 886 points
THE ESKY HAS 3 CELL LIPO I THINK and use's a higher kv motor.
The 500 hk use's 6 cell lipo (more power)thats why the kv on the 500 is lower but with the 6cells it will make up the rpm head speed, this works the same as a airplane (lower amp draw also with the lower kv).
 F100CUFFLINK 886 points
kv also stands for the rpm per volt im guessing ,at least thats what i was told.
 DennisT1 162 points
kV rating is in fact RPM per volt of battery. It is simply a speed rating, nothing to do with power or size of the motor. Typically, higher powered motors will actually turn a bit slower but again the kV does not indicate power output or amperage draw. Correct rating needed is a function of gear ratio, battery volts and desired head speed.

I am lost! Please help. I want to buy the HK 500 but need to order all the other bits and pieces too, for it to fly. First question: Can I use a TGY-MG 930 and 3 x HKS 9257 servo's, HK 401B Gyro, TR-P80A ESC, TY 500H-1700 motor with the HK-6DF-M2 Tx & Rx with everything communicating as it should?
 some12love 8 points
you need to think about it twice before buying a torgue tube unless you r a experience flyer because with simple mistake the gear on torgue tube r easy to be chip off and result in a lot to gear repair...belt tail drive will save you more money....to answer your second question...you should go to mark website aka...nuttcaze...****myrcguides**** he have a video on building the hk500 and what kind of servo he used from hobbyking website...ok...good luck...
 Christian 5 points
for servos, you need mini servos on the cyclics (standard size minis only, the odd sizes won't fit) and a standard size servo for the tail. you can download the build manual for trex 500 under "files" on the HK500GT page to check what align proposes and take those dimensions as guidelines. i found its a lot more useful to read that first and decide what other parts you want to want to order together with your kit. so far, the stuff you listed out sounds like the correct size and specs to get

Can you use Esky 000855 EK2-0704B Gyro for this heli?
 RCPavel 7 points
yes, ofcourse. I have ESKY HBKing3 heli and HK450 and HK-500 helis. But I would recomend to use Turnigy gyro for 24,-USD in this case instead...

what is the blade length?
 RCPavel 7 points
425mm or 430mm /it depends how you measure it, whole lenhgt or just the from the screw to the end.

 Anderson 6 points
I advise you to use a 425mm, because his flight had been smooth.

What is the difference between the HK500-CMT and the HK500-GT? Beside the $20, of course... :)
 some12love 8 points
cmt-simply mean the the kit is fully upgrade with carbon and metal...so no upgrade necessary...GT is not fully upgrade so if you want to switch the part with some of the expensive stuff that you like...

I keep seeing 99% parts compatible with the T-REX. Does anyone know whch the parts cover the 1% ?
 heliquest 27 points
The cardboard box it is delivered in is a Different box. Most people say it is better to store your HK500 in an upgrades Align Bpx, part # CBOX-1, or the blades and tail fall off in flight, and the Gyro explodes.
 jostafew 37 points
I have this kit and have a sprinkling of Align parts on it. One difference I've found so far is the main gear* diameter is slightly different from HK to Align. I didn't bother to count the teeth but placing one gear on top of the other you can see a diff between the two. I put the Aling part on it right away as some people complained about the quality of the HK part. Same thing with the tail blade grips* went straight to Align metal grip assy. Also changed the tail shaft to Align as the one from
 CapeKod Heli 3 points
I have the hk 600 and an hk 500 and the only difference i have found is the tail channel for the belton the tail assembly is a little different shape (u shaped instead of squared) which leds to some rubbing when belt loosens or stretches.. a little filing took care of this ..these are two very well manufactured birds and I highly reccomend them based on cost and functionality.. great for anyone wanting bigger than a 450 size.

How much space is there for the Zippy 6S 5000mah 20C packs? Will this work with a scale body or wil the set up be to heavy?
 Alexandre M. 20 points
that´s a nice heli, very powerful, the body will not be too heavy, but there's not too much area with the original canopy, a 6s 3000ma is the max... but maybe with another canopy, you may install that batery
 seanextra 46 points
I am Running the Zippy 5000mah 6s Its a tight fit under the stock canopy but fits in, a scale fuse you usually need nose weight and might as well be more battery!

Hi Hobby King. When is the HK500GT going to be available from the German warehouse.
 maddogmike 17 points
ordered mine on the 20th of october it arived on the 25. It was well pacaged with no damage. I went through each individual parts group ie. the head, tail, and main frame and put lock tight on all metal to metal screws and bolts. I don't see any need for instructions if you have built any heli this shoulf be a peace og cake. I assembled the airframe in about 1 hour. the torque tube tail is slick. I'am watting for the electronics, should be in today. mike tomlinson
 vindyboy 21 points
Hi ,Where did you order tour torque tube from. I am tryimg to find out if and when the german warehouse is stocking it. Much cheaper on the postage for me if ordered from Germany. I have sent several emails to Hobbyking but no replies.

Jeff.
 maddogmike 17 points
I ordered it from china, postage for theheli was $32.oo the heli was $79.oo

which motor, receiver, gyro, servos and battery is
required for this hk500gt. what transmitter is also needed for this combo
 seanextra 46 points
HK 500 helimotor,80 Amp ESC, HK401B Gyro, MG930 Turnigy Servos, 6s 2650mah or 3000mah , Turnigy 9X Transmitter and Reciever i have all these and it works well go to RC groups website and look for the HK 500 GT build thread everything you could ever want to know about this heli !
 vindyboy 21 points
Hi, What tail servo are you using. Cheers Jeff
 maddogmike 17 points
i'am using hk929mg servos. however these are mini servos and don't fit the servo mounting hole. you need to makie mounts for these on collective. same servo on thne tail. they work well so far. flips, rolls, loops, and inverted hover it holds well. using hk401b with recomended mods. mike t.
 maddogmike 17 points
this weekend on what was to be my 18th flight, just as the heli reached top rotor speed the tail through a blade grip. the bolt let go. the good news is no other damage was done.I've read that these bolts are weak and should be replaced. I'am going to replace the blade grip assemble with xheli parts. HK you should use beter quility bolts. this heli has never had any damage from flight .no tail strikes, nothing.I'am lucky it let go on the ground. madedog mike

Umbrella gears in tail boom holder bind, frame is slightly twisted. The canopy was cracked on arrival. You know the more HK stuff I buy the more I think I should just spend the extra and go top name brand.

i have had mine for 2 months now and i love it. i was struggling to hover my blade 400 but this machine virtually flies itself. my main gear was a little warped but replaced it with a new align one and it is perfect now. in nil wind conditions it will hover hands free for at least 6 secs before you have to add some input to keep it on the spot great chopper HK i love it.i fly mine on a turnigy 4000 25c nano battery and i can hover and general flight for at least 8 mins thanks HK

I have had mine for about a month now. It's had about 30 flights, no crashes. It fly's great. All my previous experiance is with 450" and smaller. t-rex furion etc.Only changes that I MADE WERE OUT OF NECCESSITY. talrotor blade grips to metal, blade bot let go during spin up 8th flight. Flybar leavers and swash plate levers to head, replaced for metal. plastic ons flexed to much, could not get blades to track. Otherwise stock hk all the way. hk motor servos, and gyro all works great. had about $ 225 U.S. dollars total. less radio and battery. maddog

Bought this kit arrived today 7 days shipping to New Zealand vis Air Mail so aint bad. Arriived well packed nothing broken no missing parts.
I read all the reviews on this kit here and in my mind was 50/50 good and bad comments some saying kit total waste of money etc etc, but thought what the hell 1/4 the price of Align.
Put the kit together and must say I am very happy with it if I was moan about something it would be the rubber gromits that are fitted to the canopy they broke after taking the canopy off a couple of times so will get 2 from work and will make the holes a bit bigger no big deal.
Will get it in the air and comment on the flight.
Other than that can't fault it for the money!! Thanks Hobbyking
