i bought one of these batterys and when i charged it kinda got fatt i dont know if thats a bad thing or what it means at all can anyone help me out thanks

 jeffrey 669 points
That is not a good thing.Sounds like you used to many amps and the battery is probably damaged. Did you balence charge it. I charge mine at 4.0amps and they say you can charge it at 2c which is 8.0 amps,I stay with the 1c charge (4.0).It could also be a bad battery if you lipo charged it at normal charging amps 2.0 to 4.0 .What charger do you have? Hope this helps.

i have a 3s imax charger
 jeffrey 669 points
As long as will charge a 2s if it is only a 3s charger that could be your problem.Voltage could be too high.

so is the battery trash now
 jeffrey 669 points
It is probably damaged, depends on how puffed it got.If it was just a little bit it will still work but the c value down and you will have to be careful.Have you ran it yet? You need to run it just in case it charged too much. Then try to charge it again with 2s charger.

These batteries do say you can charge at 2c, so chances of you putting too many amps to it are slim. the big question is, is the puffiness soft or hard? if it is hard then it is prob actually the battery puffing (bad). if it is soft then chances are, it is only the wrapping swelling up (no big deal). its just the heat, not the battery itself.

Anyone else having trouble balance charging this pack? When plugged into my accucell-6 it says "Battery vol err cell connect". I'd really like to balance charge it, any advice?
 jeffrey 669 points
Yes mine came way out of balance.I put the charger on discharge . Discharge all the way down (3.2 per cell)then try to balance charge again. If that does not work you might have a solder connection in the battery. What does the volts per cell say now.If you hit plus button on charger while charging it shows volts per cell and make sure you have it on the right cell count.
 jeffrey 669 points
Check the cell count on the charger

Well I used a volt meter to check the balance plug, and it works just fine. Turns out the 2s port on the charger is not connected to anything, so I need to fix that. Thanks for the reply though
