I received this speed control and the first day I took it out I ran it on 6s lipo and then after one successful run I went to plug it in again then my battery connecter was welded to the esc the there was fire coming out the side so I threw it in the lake on the first day out.
got this one, using the standard set up with the genesis boat and 4 s lipos, the esc gets very hot with in 5min using, water cooling is working, any sugestions, thinking about getting a turning 120 esc would that be better
the esc say 115/125 i would think that would be Continuous Current: 115A Burst : 125A that could be the reason that its getting hot or i could be wrong
Hello, i got this ESC, but i can't programm it. If i do it like the instrucions, the motor make music and a long beeb, 3 times and then 2 long beebs. So it is in the first mode to choose the options. If i go back to the neutral position with the throttle it makes music but no long and short beebs. When i turn back to full throttle the motor start running. I must programm it because i have to set up the reverse and the breake and the timing.
What should i do?
You plug the medium cable to the receiver . a controler with BEC is a controler who give power to the receiver .... If you don't have BEC you have to use a battery pack for the receiver and servos.

I have two of the hobbyking 125a ss boat series esc.my ? is*is there a programming card for it.I am using two for my genesis cat,which has been twinned.Lots of work to do this.But I made it,except my hands.All scratched up installing the motors. Thanks
If it says 2-7 lipo in the product specs it should be able. Contact customer service. I know many that have this and run it on 6S, dont know if they did anything special to do so.
The right program for esc ss 200 a. I've added it to download (files) of the controller can only have 4s and reverse . long time to discover this. lg david
Anyone else having a issue with there esc and the soft acceleration? when i put my boat in the water the prop just barely turns. When i take out of water it runs great. Tried programming it with no luck to take it off. please help.

iv had that problem with a boat before i had to re program as the soft start just could build up enough speed to disengage and it was causing over heating on the esc and motor. you can program pull off on some controller or do as i do and just be gentle on the throttle or give the boat a helping handed and throw it in
I could use an explaination on the reverse function of this ESC. I would like to use it in a scale boat that requires an instant reverse with no delays or other silly stuff like pausing in neutral for a few seconds. Can anyone advise?
I've been trying to program this ESC using the above mentioned SUPPO manual, and found that for some reason the "centre" and "lower" throttle position are switched. In order to program, Move throttle on TX to wide open and connect battery to ESC. Once your choice appears, select it by closing the throttle all the way. Once you are finished programming set throttle to middle position, and it returns to it's normal state.
Throttle only works from the middle position to full position. I've solved this by using a subtrim in my TX. It works fine now.
BTW: I'm using a Graupner MX-12 TX.
Have anyone been able to run this on 6S?

I have contacted hobbyking about that this ESC only works with 2-4S, but they don´*t seem to understand what the problem is, f*c***g retards!!!

Y have a problem with this ESC - 70 A ! Doesn't work with 5S LI-PO ... it is anybody else with my same problem ! It working perfectly with 4 S, but above 4 S is death not sing anything ! It's possible to programming the number of the cells to working ? I don't believe that thing... I waiting a response and HELP HK ? thank you
I am using this ESC with 3656 2200KV 4S 5S 6S lipo without any problem, no heat, even not warm... but when I first receive ESC, I noticed water cooling was not working, so I removed outher shrink than water nipples and cleaned selant in the inlet and outlet holes. And one more advise if you remove shrink check that, if the transistors all contacted to aluminum water block perfectly for cooling. dear hobby king i buy this esc with the brushless motor : Turnigy 540L V-Spec Inrunner w/ Impeller 810kv. i dont receive any manual and i can't work it the esc does not have reverce and does not give power to the motor i use a 6v batery with 12amper power. does any one know how to work this esc with this motor? can you give me a manual for the esc?

Are you running a seperate UBEC? many of the high amp ESC require a ubec or seperate battery to operate the servos and esc. I remove the red wire from the servo connector plug and use a 4.8 volt battery or a seperate ubec then I can run off the lipo. If it is not powering up you probably need a battery or UBEC to operate the receiver and servos.
hi the esc does not work. does not have reverse and i cant find how to program with the stick does anyone have manual for this esc.? its realy big problem this hobby king esc. i never receive item with out manual.

with factory settings, esc drives most inrunner watercooled motors well, but if you will use with an outrunner you will have to program by transmiter for timing etc.
Looking for a ESC for my Surge Crusher, would this be a good option? Without having BEC, what part would one suggest I need to install this ESC in Boat?
If your Surge Crusher is a truck or buggy, you will need a large supply of continuous cold water to keep the ESC cool via the two water fittings or it may overheat in use. As for the BEC, you can run & - wires from your battery to a 5Volt (7805) or 6Volt (7806) voltage regulator with the outputs through a 3 pin plug to your receiver "battery input". No other components are required if running upto 7.4 volt batteries.
This esc have 16 sub-options in the programe n°*6! I have upload a doc file with the real sequences. To enter suboption stik to lowest position, to valid high position and to save full throtle position. I search the real programing manual thanks.
were blocked by sealant had to clear. ran and tested ok. cooling sys on my boat didnt work but these esc did not get hot in a twin apparition five stars

and this speed is not good, he marred the second battery with a 80A engine he could not stand outside it heats up a lot
