The Mig 15 was a shock to NATO pilots when first encountered due to its advanced swept wing design, heavy armament and truly class leading performance. The Soviets had been engaged in advanced swept wing aerodynamic design since the 1930s and the Mig 15 used minimal captured German technology. The engine was a reverse engineered Rolls Royce Nene, which the UK government, for reasons still unclear, gave to the Soviets as a gift! The end result was the most widely produced jet fighter ever built, not to mention one of the most succesful, seeing service with and being produced by Eastern Bloc countries, as well as seeing service in Asia, truly a Cold War Classic.
If you are looking for a large scale EDF Jet with truly outstanding performance and flight characteristics, look no further. The fuselage is of a glassfibre construction, the wings are balsa sheeted/foam core. The paint finish, covering and pre-applied decals just ooze quality. The model features split flaps and is retract ready, with a host of scale accessories available seperately that will make you the envy of the flying field.
A 90mm Fan unit, fixed under-carriage and all hardware is included, electric or air retracts can be fitted if desired (sold seperately), your power train choice will want to be 6s~8s to get the best out of this amazing jet.
Requires: 36mm EDF Motor 5mm Shaft 60A~100A ESC UBEC HV 2 x 4000mAh~5000mAh 3s or 8s Lipoly Batteries (connected in series) 6~8 x Metal Gear, High Torque Mini Servo (depending on landing gear choice)
Does anybody know which electric retracts do fit? Maybe the ones stated in the combo, called Digital Servoless Retractable system (1pc) together with "7075 Alloy Shock Absorbing Strut Set"? Best would be snug fit of course :).
All motors listed in Combo are 6s i would only run this jet on 8s could HK please update the combo to include at least 1 8s motor ?.....
any one in netland know a good 8s motor for this fine jet? .....
:}
yea the 1350 uses 8s1p ,this is a high tourk fan ,i have this in my f4 90MM,im useing the 1850kv but not done with the setup yet got to get some heaver gage wire for the amps its going to produce, had dean but found out that there only reted for 60 amps get touse bullit 94 amps, hot dog going to go like animal i hope,hope this helps.
sorry DONT know about 1350KV motor for this on 8S , but i had a mega motor AAA motor that was 1450KV and was no good for this fan (KV TO LOW BUT CAN RUN ON 8S), so i got the WARHEAD 1850 for this fan on 6S, and i will be trying when ever i can, some of the guys say it produces like 13000 watts or more on 6S. The 4MM plugs for the battery are in so i order them and it may be a while befor i run it. PS USE THE NAOTEC MUCH BETTER POWER, AND USE A HIGH C RATE 40-90
Even there is no space for the 6S or 8S batteries, how they expect us to fit that "ultra detail scale cockpit and the pilot" in that fuselage??? If you buy the plane, go on... But don't buy the canopy and the pilot, you can't fit both...
I don't see any place for the batteries, look closely to the photos, there is inlet ducting, fan and trust tube and exhaust... Are we going to place the batteries over on the fan or inlet ducting?
i fly mine with 2650 nano just cut under the cockpit end push the battery all the way to the front and fits with the scale cockpit and rite cg no extra weight inn front, and for everybody change the elevator from stock make the how thing go up end down just install copper pipe inn ruder and smaller tube inside glue elevators so the go up and down just one servo inn front .
I own this kit. It's made by ProDesign. The kit itself is a 9 out of 10 The Materials and hardware are all of higher quality. Please Note: It dose not come with any instructions, but the build is straight forward with no sup-prizes. The canopy is very delicate and is held on with very strong rare earth magnets so be careful handling it. I did a building thread video, and will post it as soon as I can find the memory stick i loaded it onto. And as for the instructions I have the F86 manual that was produced by the same company and is very similar and I used the CG location witch seams to be good and yes I fly it with 2 3000 3s batterys with electric retracts it will take off from a paved runway If it helps I will scan and post the f86 manual If there's any interest.

I just received my Mig 15. It is an amazing kit for an even more amazing price. Finish is first class. No wander that no one wants to build anymore. First impression is excellent, HK did a very good job packaging in a double box and lot of bubble protection inside. Delivery was expedient even though it was regular mail.
I would recommend this model kit highly.
Bought this model some time ago and have now built it, I started to build it for a jet turbine Kollibri T25, but it turned out to be to tail heavy despite I used a thrustpipe. Pro: Nice plane, looks very god seems to be quite rigid in construction Cons: No building instruction Paint on wings falls of easily, paint on ordinary covering, very bad sollution. Twisted taiplane, this model wont be flying due to that. Tailheavy construction, hard to get CG right. Canopy has very bad fitting to fuselage whith a lot of trimming/sanding it can be solved.
In overall a dissapointing experience, I hope I just had bad luck, sending it back won´t be an issue due to high shipping costs.
